Dear Mr. Dutton. I'm here because one of my favourite channels, if not my favourite, Coldwarmotors, recommended you. Now let's watch the video. Best regards, luck and health in particular.
@@suziepilkington5600 Hi Suzie! I would be delighted ( and unworthy, frankly )... May I send you a note when I figure out how to set up such a scenario? Thanks so much for the kind offer!
Hey Ivan, at just nine years younger than you, you're giving me so much hope for the next nine years ahead and beyond, you "old fox", and all round nice bloke. Suzie's a great match for you with an obvious love for cars and that AC she has. Keep on loving and celebrating life you "kids".
Hello Ivan. I heard about your channel from Scott Newsted from the channel Cold War Motors. He suggested we come and give your channel a listen. I love your channel. The only thing that surprised me was how on earth your back could take such a thrashing in your roadster in all that mud. I'm 20 years younger than you but I could not take such a beating. I will look back at your other videos and I am sure I will enjoy them. I'm now a new subscriber. I guess I'm number 13,001. Ha ha. Greetings from West Virginia in the States.

Thank you. A genuine 289 Cobra is a beautiful thing, especially with a hard top, for real driving as opposed to summer posing. Nice bit of trials action. Susie is a video star😊!
Thank you Tanya for your reply in which you have now got me into Balloon Planet ! A little bit of Absolutely Cool in this vid. ! I’m 45 and from Tennessee and I have always been enamored with classic English sports cars. Of course I love the classics from over here but since the first time I saw one I was probably 12 and it was an MG in a friend’s garage it was green with a black interior and hadn’t run in years but I thought it was the coolest, I think your county’s cars were more stunning than Italy, Germany, or any other county. Thank you for introducing me to some makes I’ve never seen before, I’d love see them in person one day.
nice cobra - and engine sounds total top quality - no ticking or clacking - strong = i bet you set the valves and timing = IVAN the magic hands ! The Mini = invented by a GREEK man !
Great looking ac , i worked on a v16 cadalac which was only running on one bank of cylinders when i fixed the dizzy and restarted it the Silencer on the dead bank exploded it was 4 ft long flat sheet now but the owners dog was sat next to the car ,it never came into the garage for weeks 😢

I served my time in an independent garage which had an MG dealership in the early 70's. Watching the two of you work and the way you tackle jobs just takes me back to those days. Your videos are great and thanks for reminding people what real mechanics are.
@@chrisk1002 True! I had a K75RT for a few years and it covered long distances in comfort ( any weather) faster than anything else, because it was so easy.
When I saw Ivan driving like a mad man in his leather cap it took me back to childhood memories of Wind in the Willows Toad of Toad Hall's redmist crazed driving exploits! Thank you so much!
AC Cobra, what a beautiful compact car. Mmmm, I wish it was mine Ivan. Great show by the way, Mike T. Susies left arm is plastered with mud on the Herefordshire Trial you were on, which proves how mucky it was.
You remind me of my old gaffer when I was a trainee 55years ago,he was very animated with his hands, in winter he'd put his hands in his overall pockets start talking and his lower part of overalls use to dance all over the place especially if it was a exciting subject. Absolutely brilliant video thanks .
I've watched your videos since the first one, you're a real inspiration Ivan. I'm a couple of years behind you and trying hard to catch up. Never say never everything is possible with the right attitude!
I owned a new Morris Mini from 1966, with a Hydrolastic suspension. It was an absolutely and absurdly bad built car! Even from the corners of the front screen, it leaked in water, as also from many other places! I had to bend the doorframes in, with a knee in between, to make them meet the body!! And round the hinges paint peeled off, from a faulty production method, when cleaning the body before painting it. And don't drive behind someone during rain, as it would make the engine turn off from the water. And changing gears (The first wasn't even synchronized), was a "search and you will find" from the long gear-changer in the bottom (We have the first imported 1959 Mini in the "Danish Technical Museum", as also the first VW - and the second last Volvo Amazon, just driven down from the Factory in Göteborg in Sweden, and with the original plastic protection on the seats!).
Congratulations to all of you on the hard work and keep having as much fun as you can. Keep smiling as it will keep people guessing what you are up to and remember that we have to grow up, but we don't have to grow old. Really Nice AC Cobra that you have and it sounds terrific.
I love your channel Ivan, Tanya, Susie and John. I really do enjoy it. I have learned lots of mechanics tricks along the way too! I’m learning to weld soon. A friend gave me a Lincoln wire welder. Maybe someday I’ll run across a lathe. They do seem to come in quite handy! Restoring a 1974 MGB SCCA EP class racer that sat parked and disassembled since 1991. I had a muffler explode (~1985) driving my Dada's Mercury Montego wagon(Estate-I'm in Ontario). The throttle stuck open pulling away from a light and I popped it in neutral (slushomatic trans). The engine raced as I swung into in a centre left turn lane so I killed the ignition. The muffler exploded about 1/2 second later from the unburned, full throttle mixture in it. Sounded like a bomb going off and the car (all 2 + tons) lifted on the springs. The explosion heaved the rear floorboard. police turned up in droves about 2 minutes later....
