- Alabama Crimson Tide, led by Tua Tagovailoa who threw for 318 yards and four touchdowns, started the Capitol One Orange Bowl by scoring touchdowns on their first 4 possessions while holding Kyler Murray and the Oklahoma Sooners to 0 points. The Tide held off a late comeback to win 45-34 and advance to the College Football Playoff title game. Kyler Murray put up a combined 417 yards and three touchdowns in the loss.

Black God I’m not talking about myself here so let’s get that out the way. Secondly, coaches aren’t going to look and study for a backup QB let alone look at his highschool film. He was really only injured against Georgia in which baited him into throwing 2 ints with 174 yards throwing I believe. No doubt he has great instincts but he isn’t perfect. I might add that scouts will say this about him if he doesn’t improve it, remember this next year. He holds on to the ball a lot trying to get a big play downfield and although it is working to some degree in college, he’s more than likely getting drafted to a team in which is dysfunctional and doesn’t have all these weapons surrounding him. Like I said, I don’t hate the guy, it’s just criticism. From what I’ve seen, he hasn’t done well against disciplined defenses and that will be something that if he doesn’t prove wrong, can be overlooked. But, he is a natural passer with the ability to scramble if needed.

This game was never even close. The only reason they did not win by 18 points is because they had class and went into victory formation. Oklahoma's biggest enemy this entire game was the clock. What's Alabama started putting together 5 minute drives the game was over.

It pisses me off to be a sooner fan man. So many great offensive players, but such a detrimental defense. Until they can fix the defense, the program won't be going anywhere in the future but just losing in the semi's or just missing the playoffs.

Tua played against the 108th ranked defense, keep it in your pants man. It was a good performance on his part for sure, but he played against a weak defense. When he played against a very good defense in Georgia he didn't look so good.

Air Nomads SEC in general is a defensive conference, which is what they are known for. Let’s say we go by your argument that is 2 more than Kyler has played. Kyler also did not have 7 touchdowns against Bama and from 2 qtr on it was all garbage time. Again, Bama offense and defense went to hold win since it was already over. Just run the ball down OU’s throat. Watch the game again and check those things.
This game could have been so much worse for Oklahoma, barring a few stupid penalties, Alabama could have scored at least 14 more points that I can think of, but even in Alabama's inept times, they were still better than Oklahoma. This game was not as close as the score suggests.

As an Alabama fan I give all the credit to Oklahoma because they did three things that a lot of teams could not do this entire year. One,play all the way through 4th quarters. @@tjadams1089 but Murray was able to cut the lead down to 11 multiple times. Defense really needed to step up at those times and cause stops and turnovers. Offense woke up and finally realized what was on the line but the defense continued to be outplayed at crucial moments

*I think Kyler Murray potential NFL career is over. He couldn't get anything done early and that decided the game. Up 28, Alabama played differently. They were only worried about the big play at that point so they played soft defensive coverage that allowed Kyler to get some yards and points. He played good then but game was already decided. The final outcome was never in doubt. On offense, Bama ran the ball 42 times and ate up the clock. If Saban went aggressive Tua could have had 500 yards and put up 60-70 points easily. Kyler definitely shouldn't have won Heisman*

Coleman Jeter What are you talking about? Every year Bama fans are talking major shit and a lot of them expect to just be given the NC trophy before the season even starts. They may have won a lot of championships in the last 10 years (some are somewhat tainted (09, 11 and last year) and others are definitely earned).. but they don’t win it EVERY year. That’s why they play the games. Shit, it’s not even the fact that Bama HAS won so much in the last 10 years that makes me and almost every other fan despise Bama fans.. it’s the fact that every single year, they are the biggest shit talkers out there and I can never be on another video about two different teams entirely without seeing at least 2 or 3 Bama fans on there talking major shit and “ROLLLLLLL TIDE!!”.. it’s gotten quite obnoxious and got old years ago. Then because of the level Bama has been at, that prop’s up the whole SEC by association and we always have to hear about how good it is when it reality .. since Florida a decade ago.. it’s ALL been Bama and sometimes LSU and or Georgia.. but from about the 3/4 spot down to the bottom.. the SEC is incredibly average and overrated. If it was as good from top to bottom as they always say it is, then the top teams wouldn’t be finishing with 1, maybe 2 loses or sometimes even zero loses.. they would be beating the shit out of each other during the regular season and there wouldn’t be as big of gaps from the top and bottom. Just to put it out there.. I am a Ohio State fan. Over the last decade+.. the Big10 has regularly had 5 teams in the top 10 and several other teams occasionally pop in there too like Nebraska or Iowa. The regular 5 teams though are Ohio State, Penn State, Michigan State, Wisconsin and Michigan. The SEC only has 1 team that’s in the top 10 year after year the last decade and that’s Alabama. Georgia has been there the last few years and LSU and Auburn are there about half the time. Florida has been a 11-25 range school for the most part since Meyer left and not even that some years. On a yearly average, the Big10 puts just as many, if not more teams in the top 10 but because of SEC bias that’s only really been earned by Bama.. all Big10 teams are treated like second fiddle compared to the SEC, so we don’t get a fair shot most years when it comes time for bowl games.

ESPN Game Day hosts all picked Oklahoma to win except one. During the game while Alabama had the ball Kurt Herbstreit made a direct statement to the Clemson Defensive Coordinator on air that he needs to plan to take away the slat route to keep Alabama from scoring. Throughout the entire season ESPN sports analysts would not even show highlights of the game at half time when Alabama was playing. True Alabama fans that really follow the team all season will tell you the same story. Every week they are constantly stating this is how you beat Alabama to the opposing team. But you never hear them say to Alabama this is how you beat the other team. I also need to mention Gary Daniels of CBS is another hater of Alabama. He actually draws out plans during replays of the game using a screen highlighter on how to beat Alabama. I truly understand with Alabama being a dynasty that everyone outside of Bama fans becomes a hater. But it just gets old after awhile knowing that these network sports analysts suppose to be objective and not let their personal mindset interfere with their analysis. Regardless of their hate Alabama continues to roll and win. Since ESPN loves Clemson and Dabo Swinney get ready to hear a lot of positive feedback to Clemson on how to beat Alabama. Roll Tide.

Game should've never been this close. This game could have easily been 66-20. They were very fortunate to get it as close as they did with penalties and dropped interceptions. On top of that bama got conservative on offense and defense after they got the big lead
