- Hey guys it’s Robyn! Today is Wax War Thursday and we’re comparing the Scentsy Lavenders: French Lavender, Hundred Acre Wood, Lavender Cotton, and Whipped Vanilla Lavender
I am an independent Scentsy consultant from Dawson Creek BC, Canada and have been a lover of all things home fragrance and bath/body for many years. I love connecting with other home fragrance fanatics and sharing thoughts!
All opinions are my honest opinions, and everyone’s nose is different, so what I think may differ from what you think, and that’s what’s so fun about this! I also try to include information like duration and strength of scents whether I personally like them or not, to help you make informed purchasing decisions.

This is a tough choice but I'm voting for melon wars, please!!! Aloe Vera and Ivy is one of my favorites!!! I really like Whipped Vanilla Lavender but wish it were stronger!
I melted Hundred Acre Wood in my small home office and you’re right… it just lasted and lasted like a week in 25 watt glass warmer. A great in the background scent that’s just pleasant and not too in your face. I’ll be adding it to club bc I feel like it’s a great guest room type fragrance.
It would be a perfect guest room scent! Very nice!

Love that you matched your jumper with the lavender theme …lovely touch. I’m going to retry hundred acre wood as I couldn’t smell the bar I warmed a while ago …so I’ll give it another go following your review. Love your videos …think I’m too late to vote but would have been melons 🤗

If you decide to retry hundred acre wood, I’d suggest a small room, nothing bigger than an average sized bedroom.

Great wax war! I love Hundred Acre Wood too and it is also bias due to memories with our son and he is 31 years old. Haha! Pooh and his friends definitely have aged well and stood the test of time. ♥ I vote for pineapples🍍🍍 for next wax war. Have a great week! 😊

Thanks Robyn, loved this wax wars 🥰 I'm a huge fan of lavender and have quite a few English lavender bushes in my garden and I must say that if you mix french lavender & whipped vanilla lavender together you almost get the right scent. My vote definitely goes to the 🍍🍍🍍. Have a great weekend 😘

This was an AWWWESOME video, thank you so much! I have literally held off on my party link order until this aired 🥳👏❤️ I didn’t think I’d want to try Whipped Vanilla Lavender, but I’m adding it to a bundle now! What a wonderful video - so many detailed observations!! I love Hundred Acre Woods! I too have an emotional connection to it! Gotta love those baby smells! (With the exclusion of the diaper pail smell!🤣)
I am glad that you mentioned the coughing during Lavender Cotton - my son coughed and coughed when I warmed through that bar last year. I didn't make the connection at the time since it was the season his allergies act up. But I will definitely avoid it from now on. I have so many other loved scents, I don't need to warm something that causes him distress!

Interesting about the coughing - must be one of the powdery notes or maybe the daisy that gets some people.

Pineapples 🍍 I love hundred acre wood, I haven’t tired any of the others, but I do have the whipped vanilla lavender one to try! (I’m not crazy for lavender)

I agree that both scents sound amazing, but my vote goes for pineapple!
I am also not a fan of Lavender Cotton in wax, too strong for us. My favorite lavender ever is Lavender Violet from the Life's a Garden collection, I have it in my club! I think I love it because the marshmallow note comes out. 2nd fave is French Lavender though it is shorter lasting for me.

Lavender violet was one I skipped and I wish I hadn’t! I’ve heard great things about that marshmallow note in it!
But, But, what about Lavender Balsam? 😉😂 I love Downton Abbey, granny Violet, lol! Lovely review Robyn, very much enjoyed it! My vote is for Pineapple. Also picked up some of those in the Flash sale. Watermelon Tangerine I picked up in the hand soap in the sale. Wishing you a ginger peachy week!

Lavender is hit or miss for me. If it is a medicinal Lavender I not a big fan. I LOVED French Lavender in the laundry it scented the clothes well and it was soooo pretty I wish they would bring it back again instead of the Lavender Cotton. I can’t remember how it performed in a wax bar it’s been awhile since I’ve melted it. I do like Hundred acre wood and it does last forever in a small space. I just put a few cubes of Whipped Vanilla Lavender in this morning it seems pretty light right now I hope I can smell it better later.

I vote for Melon scents simply because there are different types of melon scents (watermelon, cantaloupe, honeydew etc) in the wax.
Another good one is make a splash.
As for Lavender cotton, it is a lovely scent but can be a little powdery....i mix it with simply vanilla or vanilla waves.
Great mix idea! Vanilla Waves would likely tone it down nicely!
You know what’s so fascinating to me? If I do 4 cubes in two warmers, so 8 total…. I smell French lavender way more than whipped vanilla lavender. French lavender is medium to strong. Whipped vanilla lavender is medium to light for me. I’ll bet it’s that darn vanilla my nose struggles with. I actually get better performance from French lavender than lavender violet. Weird huh? But I have a small bedroom and two stronger element warmers? 🤷🏻♀️ so fascinating. Plus French lavender lasts a good week at medium for me! But it didn’t used to until I did the 4 cubes per warmer method. 🤷🏻♀️
I really need to try FL with 4 cubes. I couldn’t for the wax war because I use 2 cubes of everything for consistency. But some scents really do amazing if you just double the amount of wax!
@@RobynH it’s wild really. But in the bedroom if I do 4 cubes in two warmers (8 total) and it’s still light, audios wax! 👋🏻 nice knowing you! 😂
I find the license bars are always too light never strong enough 😢

I love winnie the best pooh wax, also reminds me of my babies room, it is a unique scent. I think jammy time is my favorite lavender scent, it smells like lavender to me 😀but dont know if it has lavender

Jammy Time is my favorite lavender scent too. I’m thinking lavender, freesia and maybe sweet pea might be the scent notes.

What if you get a fragrance you don't like?
I either put it into a bin that I periodically take to work and let people help themselves if they like the scents, or I mix the scent to finish the bar.
