While I think that your deck list is cool, I really like the advice that you gave prior to this and thought it was extremely helpful to learn from. I really hope you make more content like that but if you don't, it is awesome that you make these videos! Please keep up the amazing work
Well, huge thanks. Made top 4 at our 1K today in the Atlanta area with the first build of this deck in the video (my flavor running that Remote Village to support the folks). Really appreciate it. Super fun deck to pilot.
Nice deck, Matty! Don't forget you can TFIWM on say... K2 if you have a Yoda out. 6/6 with a shield and Overwhelm and an immediate attack... :D Also if you've got a ton of Force units, It Binds All Things gets SUPER interesting as a 2-for-1. Covert Strength is also amazing, 1 or 3 resources to change the 2 damage from Han into a +1/+1.
I have flipped on so much stuff with this deck. It's part of the fun with it. Force is with me is pretty huge. Pulling wrecker was also my first move. I agree with you on obi especially on the flip turn he's huge
@SWU_KTOD rest of the trip was great! Galaxies Edge blew my mind and was worth the trip in and of itself. Back in Australia now and getting pumped for our biggest Australian event coming up in my home town in a few weeks. We're up to about 50 people so far. Should be a good one!
@@florianburger6605 Poe is excellent, but he’s such a big target that I have found that he rarely even gets an action before my opponent takes him out. So he tends to act like a quasi-sentinel more than anything. Without ECL, you have to hope your opponent leaves him alone long enough to do anything. Mace at least has Ambush and therefore has immediate board impact. And his ability to ready if he defeats an enemy means he can affect the board multiple times, and could even finish off an unsuspecting opponent.
I’ve been running basically this deck, but no Cassian and no Karabast, with Rey lead and Moisture Farmers and Red 3. Killer list, this Han 2 lead just makes it much faster instead of beefier!
I was about to say a similar thing. My Rey uses Kuill to get extra cards instead of moisture farmer and I kept Cassian over Red 3. But the whole first list I was thinking except for maybe 5 cards this is my Rey Deck 😅
Hey Matty, I have been trying so many versions of this deck! 😅 I have not tried, including the sentinels and cutting Poe. Really need those when played effects.
To be fair I think poe comes back in in the non Rey version but I love the village protectors. This deck is a lot of fun and a force in the meta I think!
Arc is not a bad card but doesn’t trade well in space so needs more resources to be effective which is hard when you can just play the 1:4 sentinel instead. Def an option though!
My thought is to try Kuill and tilt a little more blue to have additional card advantage. Same idea as for the arc but in ground. He is great in my Rey red deck, which is basically the same lust except for 5 or 6 cards 😅
I've been testing without Poe and wrecker as well, and I think that's a positive change. I dont think I've missed them. Without ambush, theyre kinda just meh.
@@SWU_KTOD true, Tech can be great. Like you said: this deck can be tweaked very much. I just like to play open fire on the Qi'ra flip, which happens a lot
I have won at my locals this weekend with Force Bros, went 4-0. Had to put up a fight though: first round vs Vader Ramp (2-1), had to fight through 2 Krayt Dragons and 3 Vader units to get the win. Round 2 vs Qi’ra (2-0), could easily kill Qi’ra on her flip. Round 3 vs Sabine Green (2-0), good early game trades, some healing and took over, textbook lines. After sideboard the healing and 30hp base was too much for Sabine. Round 4 vs Palp Green (2-1) first game had some great pillages to get me the win, second game opponent had to much ramp and I had no immediate answer to the big space units. Game 3 I could play on curve and could save all the removal for his big stuff and I then dropped 2 Krayt’s which locked him down. I love the deck, but these kind of matches take a lot of focus and energy, which make me doubt if I will play it at tournaments
Can this deck be played if you only have the starter packs from Spark and Shadows and the booster pack cards from SHD? Or can what can I modify it with?
Sorry for the late response. Unfortunately no. This deck is all about value and that’s a lot of high cost cards. But! You could play a more budget version with blue grit units like Wookiees!
Looks cool I’ve been thinking of blue Han for a bit but will try this weekend - how would you tackle hvy space opponent? Tarkin yellow or Thawn blue with snoke
If I am worried about Tarkin yellow I am definitely maindecking make an opening. Tech and cassian are your friends agains thrawn after superlaser blast and late phase actions.
I've not had a chance to play the deck yet, but I've been considering Fang Fighter in the main or side. What are your thoughts on it and do you think the Sabine matchup is bad enough to consider it?
Redemption feels like a win condition against Sabine and other aggro. It is a large space body in soft control and midrange matchups. Sometimes I just play it without the heal and it’s hard to remove or it baits out removal for me to land Krayt.
How am I supposed to watch and listen when there is such a beautiful man in the corner on the screen
😚😚😚
I mean.. It’s the calm and soothing voice that does it for me. Just.. bam!! 🔥
🎉 awesome analysis and fecklists, friend. Thank you!
Another fire video Matty! Thanks for the shout out. So great seeing you guys at GenCon. Fantastic takes on Blue Han2
Right back at you, Frank! Looking forward to the next time our paths cross.

That's awesome, congrats on the great run!!!
Yeah I’ve been rolling more the force-centric version of this deck too, the synergy is just a lot of fun to play with!
Force throw is my favorite card and I think this video is very well done on explaining how it is best used. Nice work Matt!
Thank you! Looking forward to your master class!

Thanks for the comment ! Yeah the deck has had a lot of changes for me too. So many good stuff to fit in
Great video! And very into your version of this deck 🥰

@blackbriargaming5483 awesome dude good luck keep us posted
Let's go Matty! Han Blue's so hot right now! 🔥
So hot
Mace does seem like a bit of a surprise in this deck. He’s very underrated. I might consider slotting in 2 of them in the deck over my Poes.
No way! He is a Solid Card but Poe is a versitaile powerhouse.

I'm being pillaged by great Han tips!
Now go forth and pillage others!

I haven’t missed wrecker much. Maybe to finish off boba leader. Poe is a value check but not sure if needed. Thanks for dropping a comment bud.
If you are running the Force Bros version, I think it’s practically illegal to use a base other than Dagobah
Great point!!
lol agreed
I had a hard time vs Qi'ra and Sabine decks, but made some changes: main make an opening, vigilance and open fire boosted my win rate very much
I’ve found tech to be a great late game tool against qira as well!
@@SWU_KTOD true, Tech can be great. Like you said: this deck can be tweaked very much. I just like to play open fire on the Qi'ra flip, which happens a lot

The number one way to play discard effectively is just to get the reps in....but this is the way with swu isnt it

@@SWU_KTOD sounds good Cheers - hoping to get few games in this weekend . Thx again
what do you think of han2 yellow? playing 9 battlefield marines (DJ, Liberated Slaves, Cassian) has been quite good for me.
Interesting idea! I’ll have to try it out.
Also you have all the discard engines (spark, k2, force throw, pillage, qira, lothal insurgent and poe)
I've not had a chance to play the deck yet, but I've been considering Fang Fighter in the main or side. What are your thoughts on it and do you think the Sabine matchup is bad enough to consider it?
Some versions play 1 main. Definitely reasonable. Power failure is also a good option as it is cheap and good against cards like childsen
in what matchups do you find Redemption themost impactfull? i have run this type of deck for awhile now and i always seem to sideboard or resource it
Redemption feels like a win condition against Sabine and other aggro. It is a large space body in soft control and midrange matchups. Sometimes I just play it without the heal and it’s hard to remove or it baits out removal for me to land Krayt.
Is this deck still worth running if I have no Lukes?
Nope
Poe?
You can definitely run poe. I had him as. 2 of. I talk about it in the video but you can easily add him back in.
Is there any point to trying this one without 3x Luke?
Sorry, but I don’t think so. Luke is such an important card here.
@SWU_KTOD @joshh266 I agree. Luke is the most important card in the deck and unfortunately doesn't work well without it.
