Should have used the money from canada for canada. In other words not sent all that money to ukrane or gc strategies and bought some water bombers to put out fires,!
Hopefully Conservatives one day wake up to the fact that delays in the Lytton rebuild have zero to do with the federal government. Almost 1/4 of a billion dollars in federal & provincial funding has been allocated. Reasons for delays include the obvious need to build efficient fire proof homes in the hottest place in Canada, and the fact that the Lytton townsite occupies land at the confluence of the Fraser & Thompson rivers that is one of the oldest continuously inhabited settlements in North America. The fire unearthed artifacts and ancient burial grounds - so due diligence is required.
Jasper Park is a federal jurisdiction so yeah it is. He and the government could’ve been on this before it got so bad. Ironic how they wait until the damage has been done.
@@gemgirl69 Wrong on all counts. The province has an agreement with the feds to provide firefighting services in national parks within the borders of Alberta. Daniel Smith cut the firefighting budget by $30 million dollars so it's the UCP screwing over Albertans, again.
@gemgirl69 it's really no one's fault the weather played a part and the bug worm trees just made the fire more intense no pm no premier no firefighters 15 meter per minute spread rate that's crazy stuff
It's not about keeping you in your community ya bag of hammers. 15 minute cities are for small towns to have things in them compared to now where seven small towns all shop at the same big box strip mall.
Locals were already priced out of this area and discouraged from going there.
Guess who gets to pay to rebuild for a place youre not even wanted.

Fire Turdie…
Praying for the residents of Jasper.
Hopefully the Liberals look upon Jasper with kinder eyes than with Lytton....
exactly what I was thinking, how many years now and what has been built in Lytton?

Wasn't very informative. It's like the "news" was more to fill empty air than to provide news.
