Hey, thanks! Essentially, I watched a lot of Zach and realized he was just doing the same motion over and over. For each person it may be a bit different, but I slide my foot from mid-pedal to front quickly, and let some bounce-back turn it into two strokes instead of one. Start really slow to figure out how it works and then practice enough to get it as fast as you want. I have a DW 7000 and I know Zach uses an Iron Cobra. Hope this helps a bit!
Maybe that will speed me up... I've seen Zach in cons (Hella days), Vans, and I swear in that latest Hella live footy my man has big ass new balance on 😆 Key is practice 🙏
How high do you keep your pedal tension? I had mine super low for a long time (largely an accident because I don't care about my gear at all) and raised it a good amount and I got noticeable faster. My slide technique is like 60-70% of what this is.
It's pretty low, but not all the way down. High can help with speed, but for me I lost the ability to control (switching from single to double strokes for more complex patterns) - ultimately, I'd find a tension where you can do fast singles and doubles feel easy. Speed comes with time. Keep adjusting variables and you'll find that sweet spot.
A good tip is to try not to separate your foot from the pedal at all, keep your foot on the pedal when you press down and when you release
yeah i'm a bit quicker now- I think I still lift just a tad (more punch)
@@maxxisntbored yeah my bad bro i didn't check out the rest of your channel, sick stuff
