Thanks for the vid. Dad worked for the CB&Q. The Hudson was used on passenger trains in the steam era (thus 78" drivers) but was relegated to short freights after diesels took over all the passenger trains for the "Q" I watched dozen of steam engines and tenders being cut up for scrap at the Galesburg service yard. Wounded my heart even though I was just a young kid. Damn near killed my dad.
Thanks again for another inspiring video. I’m not sure if the Hudson or the H10s are my favourite now. I love big wheelers, but as an owner of a 1” scale UP 2-8-0, Consolidations are always high on the list. Really appreciate the time you take to keep uploading these and to all the owners and builders who run them for us to enjoy.
The railroad is not a club, it has a single owner. You would have to contact the railroad directly about getting involved via their website. Google Mill Creek Central Railroad. I’m a member of the Illinois Live Steamers and enjoy visiting the railroad during the large meets held at Mill Creek for fellow hobbyists.
@@TheSteamChannel kk thx I live in West Virginia and we don't have one and I love and collect trains since I was 3 but never road a train before and if I buy a train it be the big boy 4014 with the new three tenders aka the real 4014 big boy that's just been restored back in april-may of 2019
Needs track work??? You bet! I don't think I could lift a derailment off the stones and re-rail it by myself with a hot engine and a bad back. How does this work in reality?
My dad was a depot agent for the CB&Q in the early 50's so this brought back my memories as a kid. Rail cars looked period too but the silver caboose came after the red wooden as I remember.
A lot of work and money goes into this kind of hobby...but the result is worth it...how much water does the tender hold...i guess they run on propane...great video👍
I'd love to go there and just wander around, follow the tracks where ever they may lead. It looks like there's one branch that turns off in to a "hidden" area...it would be fun to see where it goes.
Can you buy these steam engines from SOMEBODY or do you have to buy all the parts and put it together...also how much do thoes steam engines costs.?.are they more than the diesel engines?
Awsome video how I wished I had a hunk of property big enough to accommodate a large layout of trains in this gage. Thanks for posting it. Have a great day everyone.
Rudy Kukurin it’s a privately owned railroad that is not opened to the general public. If you are involved in the live steam hobby, arrangements/permission can be made/granted with them to visit by contacting them.
There is no Lucius Fox in this scenario so either you must build them yourself or, as was the case with the Hudson and H10s, Godshall Custom Machining was commissioned to build them by private parties.
I've seen so many of these vid's and I'm green with envy, but "wazzup" with the lack of anything GTW, especially U-3-b's, U-4-a's, K-4-a&b's, etc. Are these Loco's some sort of "red-headed step children" amongst your community? I don't get it...please advise!
Es un parque de diversiones o algo referido a la historia del tren ?Es realmente maravilloso cada parte de ese recorrido en miniatura y los trenes tan hermosos, realmente el sueño para todo hombre-niño.
Does anyone know what part of the country this is located in? Since it wasn't mentioned in the description. I don't want an address just where. Ohio, Michigan, Oregon CA?
@@TheSteamChannel probably not going to happen but how could I get to see what you have going on up there. I would like to bring my father up for some steam trains.?

I may head out this year at some point. I thought about going last year for their fall meet, but after working 7 days a week from July to September-I was just gassed. It’s an almost 7 hour drive from me.

I'm amazed at how big these trains are... Having one of those bad boys is my dream. :)
Great Stuff!! I really admire the time, work and money put into this beautiful equipment. Thanks
Amazing train
It's so nice and awesome
*_Giant time-traveling aliens have invaded the 1800s and they've commandeered steam locomotives!_*
The CIA 😂👏👏👏👏👏
That's the most live steam and Pennsy H10s I have ever seen who builds all those H10s or who or what company had been building them.
Godshall Custom Machining
Quick throw some of those speed boomers that Doc Brown uses in Back to the Future 3, we need to get those trains up to 88 MPH
Wonderful video :)
It's so good to see such hard working guys. Which place is this by the way
The thing about live steam is that you don't have to worry about adjusting CVs on your decoders.
Hermosoooo gracias por compartir
This is my dream favorite super-car.
The Train Gang is all here have Magic Business
H10’s galore!
Would be great to see freight operations!
I have yet to watch this to the end,,, but I will.
But why would there be an age restriction?
Other than the " I want one"
Coppa
The Steam Channel that’s unfortunate
Coppa kinda ruined a lot of things on UA-cam
Thats quite the gang." Rails angels"?
Where is this ?

Needs some track work
Needs track work??? You bet! I don't think I could lift a derailment off the stones and re-rail it by myself with a hot engine and a bad back. How does this work in reality?
the dedication to build something like this is just amazing. Easily 5+ years to build such a project.
Retirement goals.
Amazing amount of work must have gone into the making and maintaining of these little beasts!
big boys' toys.
Looks like a fun time!

Only Americans could do such a great line up.
My favourite wasn't a Hudson but a Pacific, the Pennys K4.
Love the Belpaire firebox and taper boiler.
I just love watching live steamers
As you was talking about the Photo Shoot, the little boy in me was yelling, "Make it go Daddy, make it go! "
It takes all sorts to make this world.😄😄
I thought the image of all the trains was a race
My thought as well !!
Me to
These giants are lucky to have miniature trains to ride on.
Is the camera man a giant himself or just just a regular human?
I gotta pay more attention when I'm there... I was there filming and getting pictures for Wayne too! Didn't know our paths have crossed!
A lot of work and money goes into this kind of hobby...but the result is worth it...how much water does the tender hold...i guess they run on propane...great video👍
Fun video. Those sure are some neat locomotives.
I once met a man who worked as a mechanic in a lace mill. He built himself one of these fantastic steam locomotives. It only took him thirty years!!
I always enjoy watching a new Steam Channel video.
Awesome video.... Trains 😎👍
If you're not amazed by steam engines you need more beer...

Unless you can cut a check for $25,000+ (and that’s a hard +)...you build them yourself
Wow, I absolutely love this!!!
What a fun day for all involved! Enjoyable to watch, thanks 👏

How much are those H-10 kits? They all seem to be something you can prder as kit, and then you can put them together.
Thank you for the video
The coolest thing ever
Great coverage...

They should use them in Boston. More dependable.
In the original Bat Man, Joker asked with amazement...“Where does he get those wonderful toys”?
