Good morning and happy Wednesday! This is a great project for sure. They did a fantastic job coordinating the fabrics & matching the thread. While there are free tutorials online for making fabric baskets, they're not as - what's the word I'm looking for? - polished, that's it. They're not as polished as this one is with the rounded shape, leather strap, gold screws, and labels. It looks like it will be sturdy, too. The awl was a good choice for the add-on notion; much easier than trying to poke holes with snips or a seam ripper. You can easily see that Sewers Club put a lot of thought into this month's box.
I think this is what makes SC so great! It’s a simple idea but they try to elevate it and make it unique. I’m so excited for the awl too, I’m sure I’m going to find it so handy. It’s also something I haven’t seen in the box before. I’m so excited to make this one, but what else I new 😁
