It would be so funny if the kraven movie ends with the rhino transformation. That could be an ongoing joke. You never see the rhino fight. Every time he's about to fight someone the movie abruptly ends.

The reason they didn’t show the entire trailer during the game is because 30 seconds of ad time is equal to around 7 million dollars. 30 seconds, a minute tops, is all you tend to get from anyone during the Super Bowl.

@@uncle_ben_rices_nephew that was exactly what I was thinking. If they put it on the Super Bowl, they wouldn’t be able to show the R-rated raunchiness or violence that they can online.
That means that 30s of edited footage is equivalent to 1/10th of the budget for the movie. That actually feels a bit surprising, given how cheap the Deadpool films tend to be.
@@omegaminoseer4539 The Deadpool movies have all made well above their budgets, and the second had a bigger budget than the first. I'm guessing that's how they justify spending so much on a Superbowl spot. The marketing, which has always been centered around Deadpool's personality, has always been key. Getting that personality in front of a lot of people who don't keep up with movie news is an investment that's expected to pay off.
The days of paying for 2 or 2.5 minutes of Super Bowl commercial time to play a full trailer are long past, especially when you can just buy 30 seconds and point people to the full trailer online.
It’s such a long shot but I think it would be so awesome to get a cameo from Dan Steven as legion again! Maybe even finally get him side by side with Charles.

Based on the ending of Loki season 2, I wonder if Ravonna Renslayer gets control of Alioth. They don’t even need to show this in the movie. But now without Alioth to purge Limbo, it’s filling up with weird characters, especially mutants. (Loki’s TVA lets the multiverse grow but they still purge characters that cause incursions). So TVA recruits Deadpool to kill them all. They can exposition this without mentioning Loki too, and just say they’re under new management and this TVA agent is trying to impress his new boss.
The new improvements at the “new” TVA looks quite green...

@@rollingon5566 lol I kinda love that, Loki abolishes a long time TVA statute that required all mutants to be pruned. Something about some 20th Century Fox? Not sure why that rule was there, we don’t need it anymore.

Nando, it’s very common to have multiple tornados in a bad thunderstorm. A big tornado can kind of spawn off a new tornado. It's a whole thing. And don't get me started on waterspouts.
Not in this movie but once they fully reboot the X-Men in the MCU, I'd really like for Elliot Page to get to play a male X-Men character to bring his super hero journey full circle on his terms ❤

This trailer got me excited because it definitely portends that they plan to do something interesting with this and not just obligatory marketing mandated checkboxes.
I do feel like the plot of this revolves around the TVA using Deadpool to save their agents that Pyro and the others in The Void have captured to sacrifice to Olaith or something, but in learning why they were sent to the Void and maybe because Logan is there too, his meta love decides he would rather save the outcasts from the TVA looking for revenge and bring who he can into the sacred timeline.
E is for Existinction is excellent. It is the beginning of Morrisons run, so it is the best intro to those X-Men as well as Cassandra.
I'm curious about what locations we're gonna see in this movie, considering all of the set photos are just of Deadpool and Wolverine walking around either a snowy field or a grassy field, so I'm assuming maybe that's the only "real" exterior location and everything else will be either indoors or greenscreen. Certainly feels like a return to how almost everything in Deadpool 1 took place on a highway...
I tend to agree with most of your takes for what it is worth but I thought that the meta of teasers for the Super Bowl that direct to online trailers is brilliant.
It puts more eyes on UA-cam and they can get better metrics about who/where/when people are checking it out. If you pay buy the second for a Super Bowl ad then the best ad is the best value per second ratio. If your teaser hooks then that is all that matters and people will go watch whatever trailer/ad etc. wherever you put that.
People that are excited for Deadpool & Wolverine will google it and find it. I did and according to the Google trends data during the Super Bowl I wasn't the only one.

I'd be bummed if Mobius didn't show up in this, especially with rumors saying that he would be there (yeah, rumors are rumors, but still). Like if the new guy is meant to be a replace him, I don't think he gives off the same charm that Mobius did.
FYI - In Deadpool 2, Shatterstar says he's from Mojo World then goes on to die. Then he's at the birthday party in the trailer so...

The forest isn't just a trend, it's the same one from the final scene of Logan! The big six-wheeled truck that you can see flipped in the background is the one that got flipped and dropped on X-24 in the final fight. DP's probably hiding behind the same log Logan died on at 11:32. Deadpool is at the site of Logan's grave, probably visiting it or stopping someone from messing with it.
One of my biggest hopes for Deadpool & Wolverine is to have Channing Tatum finally play Gambit. It would be even better if he was the butt of a lot of jokes throughout the film
I know he's done other stuff, but in my brain Brian Posehn will always be Sour Cream from Steven Universe. So the idea that Sour Cream wrote an X-Men comic is literally cursed knowledge.
I think the plot may be Disney throwing Fox properties into the void which include Vanessa and his friends, and in saving his friends he's also gonna bring a bunch back into play in the movies.

Living in Iowa and Ohio, the tornado thing made me laugh. On an average summer night you could randomly have 5 tornadoes come through and then just go to work the next day
So far every X-man we've seen in live action cameos has been in their costumes from the animated TV show... Makes you wonder how heavily that's going to tie in now.
The U.S. sees about 800 tornadoes annually. Most of em are little blips, but there’s an average of just over 70 deaths per year. Not sure that'll make the movie any better, but we have tons of tornados!

I’m not unhappy with the title by any means, but I do think that something like “Deadpool Saves the MCU” would have been funnier and more fitting, at least for me personally
It’s been a couple of years since I last saw Deadpool but I don’t remember Vanessa coming back so it’s a cool detail that she’s now not dead to show time travel shenanigans
He went back in time with cables fixed time travel thingy and saved Vanessa and also Peter. Didnt show him saving the other X-Force guys but obviously he must have since Shatterstar is at his birthday party. He changed a bunch of stuff going back in time in the post credits of DP2. I can only imagine all the timelines and variants he created in the process, so i wouldn't doubt he caught the eye of the TVA lol.

I feel like the trailer is showing a lot of the very start of the movie, hence why there’s no Wolverine until the end.
Is it good thow? I'm not that hyped anymore. Maybe because all those dreadful leaks in the previous months, maybe because again I show that awful "Marvel grey" background in the fighting scenes, maybe because wtf they change (as far the trailer showed) the TVA stuff. I don't know, I hope, I really really hope I'm wrong but I'm kinda more worried now than before the trailer.

This narrative that the MCU needs to be saved is so funny to me. The bulk of all Phase 4 and 5 projects have been received well by both critics and fans. Besides Thor, Quantumania, Eternals and The Marvels… the narrative that the MCU is dying is false.

To be perfectly honest, Marvel Studios these days is cranking out the following distribution:
- 20% great content
- 60% meh content
- 20% trash content
If they get rid of that bottom 20 completely, move 20 from the 60 to the top 20, they could return to full glory.
Guardians of the Galaxy 3 was great, and people were ready to consider the MCU doomed as soon as the next mediocre movie or show after it remeased. So, I doubt Deadpool & Wolverine will 'save' / fix people's perceptions, even if it's very good and / or a massive hit.
Nah, it will not save the MCU; it will probably help the next mediocre movie's box office thanks to the goodwill it generates, but after that it will be the same kind of crap we have come to expect from Marvel since Phase Bore started.
I really don't think you can learn much from costume choices. If superheroes existed in our universe, surely they'd be changing up their costumes every other day, just because it's fun. So why would we expect middle-aged Pyro to dress the same as teen Pyro? If that's a rising trend, I need to go find my hair gel and my keyboard tie. And my hair.
Anyway, I have only one proclamation to make ... If nobody from Agents of SHIELD is in this movie, I'm gonna murder somebody. With my words. Relax.

My only gripe with this video is saying the Aussie accent is easy to master. It is, in fact, the polar opposite. It's extremely difficult to master well. I dated an Aussie for three years. Something I learned in that time is it's extremely difficult for a non-Aussie to fool an Aussie. Their ears are some of the most sharp when it comes to their own accent

I always recommend Deadpool: Su!c!de Kings(censored) as a good intro. There's a couple deep cut DP characters but you don't need to know them. To me it's a great vertical slice of everything Deadpool: pop culture humor, slapstick, violence, but also heart and Wade's ability to just keep it real when necessary.
I honestly didn't expect that quick shot of Logan in a white tuxedo so I'm really excited to potentially see Logan in his spy alter ego Patch.

I think this is absolutely a good trailer. shows everything you need to know. Wolverine's here, deadpool's here, we have old Pyro, so getting the old fox actors back. And tva stuff. I dont need to see every single thing that's going to happen in the plot.
Showing a full 2.5 minute trailer at the superbowl would cost 35M USD, the 30 second spot that directed people to YT was 7M and YT reported that the full trailer had over 360M views in 24 hours, the most viewed ever.
I think Marvel knew what they were doing here.
Nando, I'm less of a fan of MCU UA-camrs than I used to be. But I feel like you find the right balance of warmth & treating the product as art to be reacted to without getting swept up in hype or projecting personal desires & expectations.

You SAY doing an Australian accent isn't that hard, but in the history of mankind in all of media, I have never, EVER heard a single person fake a convincing Australian accent.
The trailer was boring. It looked so mid but the fact that people liked it so much simply because of Deadpool is kinda hilarious. 😂
Yeah, I'm honestly one of those people who's not "super psyched" after watching that trailer. I was getting a bit more excited heading into it, but after watching it, just felt a little let down, like something was missing (and not just proper Wolverine presence, though that probably would've been enough). I'm also mixed on what we've seen of the story, but I'm willing to give it a chance.
I haven't been *as* negative on the MCU projects we've had the last couple years (obviously GotG3 was great while Secret Invasion was very bad), with most being varying levels of "fine" (Eternals may be my most disliked but it was okay, I suppose, whereas Love & Thunder has a lot of good just heavily dragged down by the rest, Quantumania was decent for what it was though that was a weird choice for the characters) and I really liked The Marvels, seriously one of my favourite MCU films in a while - lots of fun and some good heart and themes (I have some issues, including the flerken egg storyline, but this is far from the bottom of the MCU by any measure).
I also haven't had as high hopes for Deadpool 3, partly because I have a mixed feeling about Deadpool as a character and about those previous 2 movies. Ryan Reynolds feels like a perfect casting choice (from the moment he showed up as Wade in XMO:W), but the stories have been underwhelming, and outside of some jokes and action scenes, the films are a bit underwhelming - I particularly found Deadpool 2 disappointing, not bad just...not that great, especially not as good as I'd hoped or expected.
All that said, I'm interested in the film, I hope it's fantastic, glad it's happening.
This movie will be the REAL Multiverse of Madness! 🤣 Expect a random video essay about how Deadpool & Wolverine “saved” the MCU, and of course, people will bemoan the cameos and guest-appearances and call it, “Shameless Fan Service”, but most people will forget how Deadpool 2 was almost filled to the brim with meta jokes 🙄
Honestly, when I saw that out of everyone they brought back for that opening sequence, they included shatterstar I was confused because why would Wade go back for him? But Also I remember he's connected to the MOJO world, so it immediately made me think your pitch was gonna be spot on and I'm still not totally convinced it's not.
Tbh, Cassandra Nova was the most terrifying villain the X-men ever faced. Imagine Charles's telepathy with Wolverine's healing factor. Plus, she had the will to follow through on all her threats. She didn't care because, to her, no one else besides Charles was real. She couldn't be out fought. She had to be outsmarted by Jean and Emma.
except it doesn't work like that. spiderman movies will still make a lot of money and probably be great (because the cast is amazing and very good foundations have been laid) and any movie with "avengers" and "x-men" in it will do well. the problem is that they failed to build up new heroes that everybody wants to see. compare phase 2 to phase 4. shang-chi, cpt marvel, eternals... not enough people care about those characters compared to iron man, cpt america or wolverine. thor and dr. strange lost a lot of interest after their last movies.
that being said, this movie does look intriguing. I wasn't the biggest fan of the first 2 deadpool movies (didn't hate them, just didn't think they were as amazing as everybody said) but I kinda wanna see this one because of wolverine and the bigger implications (x-men in the mcu, new avengers level big bad, etc). but like I said, they needed an established fan favourite from the past to gather my (and I bet many more people's) interest. this is because the "new" stars they are creating are kinda flopping. that's why numbers are going down
