Jin is just insanely hard. You can see that F4 didn’t work. He can’t get in. Jin has good tools but they all project so much, and even blind man knows the matchup inside out vs Jin. Character is crazy hard to play!
@@akumabatata2198 not really, he's at least as strong as Fahkumram with insane comeback potential and also absurd damage^^ I mean sure, Fahk is pretty simple, strong and doesn't require a lot of execution, but at least he's a regular Tekken character who doesn't break every rule of the game, like Akuma does. To be fair, every player can choose his character and there are enough strong characters (like Fahkumram) right now. Infested won that game not only because he played Fahkumram...
Most parry timings (of which includes Jin's parry) are meant so you cannot abuse them. You need to anticipate the timing of the move. Fakh is still somewhat new and unfamiliar to a lot of players, as well as he is fast, super long reach and built around almost nothing but mix-ups. The whole game plan of mix-ups is to make the opponent guess, and fakh does nothing but make ppl guess. The speed of his moves even make it worse, you cannot ever reliably parry a mix-up character where all of his different attack options from his mix-ups have variable timing and getting hit by even 1 could get you full comboed. Yes, Jin's parry could have turned that around, Jin's snake edge from his stance which cherry often hesitated and resorted to defending once he got in stance instead of taking the chance to use probably could have helped him too, as I noticed Infested often chose a high or mid option and not a low which jin probably could have beat, but him choosing not to do that shows Cherry was still not fully familiar with fakh and didn't feel confident in taking that risk. With that in mind, it's no wonder he didn't dare try to use the parry.

I regularly watched cbm youtube videos against players like knee, lowhigh etc. Even against the familiar matchups I hardly see him using parry unlike some other jin mains like sora. There are many style to play jin and I think using parry is not part of cbm play style but it is a useful tool against character who has plus frames move on block like lidia, fahk but yeah using parry on fahk's mix-ups is risky.

He may not be a parry minded player. He seems more about controlling a match rather then anticipating timing and using parries or otherwise.
