Congrats man! I got back into playing again recently and decided to take your advice on going for score. After a few tries I now sit at 6th worldwide glitch-less according to the wiki. I didn't record my entire run due to it being played straight from my television but I recorded proof of my score at the end. I'd like to submit my score but I'm not entirely sure how to go about doing that, since you moderate the score wiki you should point me in the right direction : )

And I'm glad to hear you tried your hand at some highscoring :) So, the rules require that the proof show the score you got as displayed in the game, and that no game genie (or TAS if it's an emulator recording) was used. Obviously, the preferred proof is to record the entire run, but I understand that's not feasible for everyone, so doing for example what jirka waggon did (the current 6th place guy) is ok. This is because he shows the score and the fact that the cartridge is plugged directly into the console without any game genie attached. I'm hoping you got both of those in one video or image. If it's a video, go ahead and upload to youtube, and if it's an image, you can upload to an image sharing site (imgur, photobucket, tinypic, etc.) and just send me the link to it here or via PM. If you weren't able to fulfill the two criteria, though, I'm sorry but you may need to do another attempt :/ If so, just know this is to ensure the integrity of the leaderboard, as we have had a guy try to submit a clearly TASed score run in the past.

this was the first game i ever bought with myown money as a kid back in the early 90's... played this game so much... but I don't remember ever being able to flip up on a ledge like you did against plethora there, how did you do that

I've pretty much started playing this again on my Sega Mega drive and the menus look nothing like that and it does not look like that in the start when and where you did the restart glitch I assume :o ????
This is the 100K Trip. If you have 100,000 points in Under Skull Mountain 1 you'll automatically get warped to Woods of Despair 1. Doing this implies that you get most of the "No Hit", "No Prize" and Speed bonuses in Blue Lake Woods 1 & 2 and Highwater Pass 1. You need to have 60K points when you're getting at Highwater Pass 2 since you'll have to use the warp there instead of going for the flag. In Elsewhere 1, you must take the Cyclone helmet and avoid losing it in Under Skull Mountain 1 so you can take the remaining 40K with it. Speed bonus time limits (10K points each): Blue Lake Woods 1 -> 20 seconds Blue Lake Woods 2 -> 22 seconds Highwater Pass 1 -> 1 minute

As Kid, you can press the jump button again when adjacent to a ledge like that to flip up on top of it. The timing really isn't even that precise

In rare cases, a teleporter can bring you back to a level you've already been to. Thankfully, there are only 6 of them in the game.
