I've (mentally) referred to it as diagonal single hip circles, to differentiate it from vertical/sagittal or horizontal. It keeps it so my brain/body translates the muscle firing order without changing the angles.

I'm a clockwise girl, myself, although I'm usually comfortable going in either direction. Except with ribcage circles. Counterclockwise ribcage circles, aarghh!!
