KYLE LARSON ANSWERS ATTICA OUTLAWS

  • It should be no surprise that we'd see NASCAR's Kyle Larson put his hat in the ring on a Friday night at Attica Raceway Park, to duel against the best World of Outlaws Sprint Car drivers in the world. It should also be no surprise that Larson, despite limited sprint car appearances due to his demanding racing schedule, cleaned up in a big way...leading all 40 laps en route to Victory Lane. But before then, the History Mystery Man interviewed Larson and several other World of Outlaws superstars, including NASCAR's Alex Bowman, Carson Macedo, Jacob Allen and Australia's Ian Madsen. Take a ride with the History Mystery Man at Attica Raceway Park for another high-speed, open-wheel thriller. By the way, did you know that Kyle Larson watches the History Mystery Man?! Thanks for all your support! #HistoryMysteryMan #KyleLarson #WorldOfOutlaws #AtticaRacewayPark #SprintCars #DirtTrackRacing #Legends

    Kyle Larson shows what I like in racing, successful in open wheel, dirt or paved and also on the Cup Series. Don't see a lot of that anymore. Brings back the days of the 50s, 60s,and 70s.

    Kyle Larson, Chris Bell & Alec Bowman are our modern day A.J. Foyts and everyone should be thankful when they show up at a track near you.

      well back then thats was they did, maybe you might be able to group larson with foyt but thats not something you should throw around lightly , aj was an all time great, sure its great to see nascar guys that also can play in the dirt and laudable they havent forgot their roots, but the in the old days that is what they did and there were several racers racers, as well as had the abillity to tune a car, like foyt, andretti, or maybe parnelli jones, larson still has to win the 500 and I do wish to see him do so, both him and tyler courtney if the shot ever comes, but I know they won the other prestegious indy race the hoosier 100 which for now no longer can be done, maybe if someone wants to press the horsetrack in shelbyvill which is a dirt mile indeed we could run a 100 lap 100 mile dirt race, but usac and people would have to steep up for the costs of putting the temp fence around the track to catch the cars cuz it currently don thave a wall or guardrail strong enough to protect the crowd from the cars nor a catch fence.
      but larson I would make that comparision and maybe alex bell but foyt had very big shoes to fill with acomplishments.

    • @kurtfoulke5130
      @kurtfoulke5130 2 роки тому +2

      @@manga12 hahaha I just said that they were Modern Day Foyts, there will only ever be one Anthony Joseph Foyt Jr.
      Larson & Bell have had amazing racing careers while teenagers, they are still only in their late 20s.
      Foyt, Jones, Gurney, Andretti & Stewart are the Gold Standard of American racing.
      Racing may be safer in 2022 but it certainly isn't any easier & I appreciate the talent and dedication of today's Superstars as much as the ones from my youth.

    Hello again Don. Jen and I really enjoyed this video! It really gave us a nice reminder of our visit to the track last Friday night. You certainly have a nice ability to interview folks. We must have sat near you in the stands. We showed up as you zoomed the crowd. I talked to Johnny Gibson, Jacob Allen, Greg Wilson, David Gravel, and a few others. And of course, many many awesome folks as we tail gated. I know you enjoy talking to the less than well known Don. Maybe sometime you could interview say Bill Rose and/or Noah Gass. These guys hardly ever can make the A Main (without a provisional) yet they never give up. Bill is an older guy (57), while Noah is barely 18. Both full timer WOO drivers. What makes them do this? How are they funded? What are they trying to get out of the sport? Do they ever have doubts? What are their biggest challenges? I don't think I ever saw anyone talk to either Friday night.
    So again, really enjoyed this video. It will give folks a sense of what Attica is all about, and Ohio racing in general. Hope you continue to do more like this.
    Chuck and Jen

    Like Kyle said and I agree that his crew chief Paul Silva is one of the best when it comes to sprint cars and knowing where to set the car regarding the multiple variables that are the adjustable pieces on a sprint car chassis. Tire pressure alone can kill a right rear tire in a few laps if it's not where it needs to be based upon how wet the track is and how fast that moisture is going to be blown off and the track starts taking rubber. Paul and his guys have that car on KILL every time KL get pushed off in it. Can you imagine coming from a heavy full bodied stock car that has probably 1 horsepower per 5-6 pounds of car to a completely open bunch of tubing that has 1 horsepower for every 1.5 pounds of race car and just putting it on the floor and not lifting off the throttle, just grabbing some brake to set the car into the corner. A sprint car is what I think is the purest form of motorsports. The car is all mechanical systems, no electronics and no way to adjust on the car besides the wing getting moved but I don't think the wing is moved very much..If you get to a race track that is a 1/2 mile and you walk down to the farthest point you can, preferably right where they lay the car over and hit the cushion you will be amazed at how fast they are really traveling. A local half mile to me had a track record of 128+ mph average speed. Average speed. They are pulling 145+ mph down the straights and picking up the left front wheel, slightly twisting the tubing due to the torque the engine produces, spinning at high rpm and creating the incredible power they have.
    Peace
