Zendaya Maree Stoermer Coleman is almost natural.I will present pictures from her past and present that show what procedures she may have undergone. This is the second installment in my “Almost Natural” series of shorter videos that showcase celebrities who have only had minor, or subtle work done, that slip under the radar of the masses when it comes to plastic surgeries and cosmetic procedures.
Zendaya is naturally beautiful with her deep set eyes, beautiful smile, and a petite heart shaped face. Let's look at Zendaya’s past, and compare over time to see what she may have done to her looks. We can see a first change was made to her eyes, then a change to her nose, which was very subtle, and then we move on to her cheeks which had a noticeable difference as shown in the video. Alongside the facial changes, I also highlight body changes and what caused them.
She started her career in Disney productions and kidzbop. As she gew, so did her roles, from a bruno mars music video to spots in movies such as the award winning greatest showman and now the US box office record breaking Spiderman: No way home, and recently the controversial new show, Euphoria. She is currently dating fellow actor Tom Holland, whom she has worked with for the last 3 Spiderman films. Zendaya is also extremely popular in social media, with over 127m followers on instagram alone, making her one of the most followed people on the platform. Zendaya is also worth tens of millions of dollars at age 25, very impressive for her age and with such a long career ahead.
Zendaya is starring in Euphoria on HBO which is a hit television series about young adults during a time of social media
One of the first cosmetic procedures Zendaya had was Invisalign braces; Invisalign braces are clear teeth Aligners. Invisalign braces work well but have to be worn very consistently.
Please know that although I have a very informed opinion based on my own experience I am not an EXPERT or a Doctor. Please visit a plastic surgeon for medical advice.
Special Thanks to Miss J from Miss J's forum; much of my knowledge was garnered from her.

Anyone who mentions that Zendaya may have had surgery tends to be attacked, but it’s something I’ve noticed with her too! She’s so beautiful and any work she may have had done has been done super well, with appreciation to her natural features. It’s nice to see someone who’s enhancing their natural look, without trying to force the IG and ‘Kardashian’ look that’s super popular.

      @ldallas8315 2 роки тому +196

@pree You say that like the prospect of her getting plastic surgery is an accusation she needs to be defended from... it is the norm for celebrities to get plastic surgery. They face an insane amount of pressure to be extremely beautiful to the public. It doesn't mean they did something wrong, it just is what it is.
Also, aging will not slim down someone's nose shape. For humans, our noses and ears will actually appear larger and less slim as we age due to how our cartilage changes over time. That kind of change cannot realistically be attributed to aging, unlike things such as losing facial baby fat which aging can absolutely do (although it varies from person to person).

can you take a look at Avril Lavigne? You may have heard the rumor that in the early 2000's that she was "replaced with a doppelganger", personally I just think she's had some plastic surgery and there's nothing wrong with that! I’ve watched several of your videos and have never heard you be unkind, disrespectful, or even really critical of the people you talk about. Zendaya is honestly gorgeous, I’m glad she went down the “enhancing features” route rather than completely changing herself to fit the IG model mold. I think she honestly has one of the best plastic surgeries in the entire industry. Sometimes, it can be so subtle that not many notice it. I’m glad you provide insight to this, and teach so many people that the people we look up to are not always fully natural, and that’s ok!
Once again, amazing video lorry! You look gorgeous and your son at the end always cheers me up 💖 I hope you continue your kpop series, as I also feel many kpop idols have had great plastic surgery procedures. Taking a chisel to your nose, to make it look more "white " is not *enhancing*
This poor girl loves to show how 'black' she is (by walking the walk, and talking the talk and is by almost hiding the fact she is half Caucasian) but when it comes to her nose she was dying to make it look more 'white'.
So sad that so many people can't accept their bigger noses and always opt for a nose job. Having a 'white' looking nose doesn't make you prettier.

Lorry, I understand Doja being upset, but you didn’t deserve everything that was said about you. Your channel, as you say, is to lift the veil behind Hollywood and help remind every day normal people that celebrities are of course beautiful, but a lot of them have help and pay thousands of dollars to get the loom they want. You never body shame or surgery shame, and your videos help people like me who feel like what’s the point of trying if I’ll never look like these celebrities.
I can tell your intentions, and you always heavily research your videos. And they’re all speculation as well! Lorry doesn't describe plastic surgery as something negative and its honestly helpful. As a fan of Zendaya, I don't mind her doing plastic surgery.
EDIT: To all those people mocking me, you need to remember that I'm showing my support to Z for doing whatever she likes. Female public figures have been slammed for trivial things such as a hair cut (Katy in her Witness era), hair colour (Gaga and Billie), plastic surgery (there are literally tons of examples of this but Cardi B and Ariana for example) or even weight loss (Adele). People don't associate a person with just their talent but looks too. So when they find its altered (naturally or artificially; which is none of our business) they often discredit their entire persona (multiple Adele fans were upset due to her weight loss and claimed it made them enjoy her music less (wtf?) So no, I'm not being arrogant or entitled in any manner hence please reconsider all the mean things you're commenting. I love Z however she comes and she's talented and beautiful. While all of these are plausible, I just want everyone to keep in mind that Zendaya is currently 25. The Invisalign is obvious, and the nose is believable. But specifically with the buccal fat, while it is believable she could have had a reduction, we are comparing an image of her from when she was 24, at the critic's choice awards, to when she was 18 at the American music awards. Many people lose fullness in their cheeks between their teens and early 20s. That being said it is possible that she had the buccal fat removed, but idk if it's the most likely conclusion.

Talking openly about plastic surgery doesn’t have to be so taboo. If Doja and her fans watched the video and felt attacked by it, that tells you more about what they themselves think about getting work done than Lorry’s actual intentions which were never malicious, only informative. And that right there is a big part of the problem.

I sincerely wish that the folks who are sending death threats and calling you names get a life. Lorry Hill's channel should not be dismissed simply on a single video she created on Doja Cat, in my opinion. Lorry Hill has done a great deal to improve people's self-esteem. Many of the celebs she covers (not including Doja Cat) claim to be completely natural, which leads to poisonous beauty standards. Consider the Kardashians: their hourglass bodies were purchased, and their straight noses were man made. "Bella Hadid was born with such a lovely physique and face, what's wrong with me?" When these celebs declare they're all natural, it really makes their young fans become so insecure. When it comes to celebrities that consistently lie about getting work done, I have no objections to these videos. It's fine if celebrities don't want to talk about their plastic surgery. However, the problem arises when you continue to lie and claim to be completely natural when you aren’t. Anyway, Lorry, keep strong and don't be fazed by the death threats. If the K-pop fandom storm passed, so can this one.

  • @itzmeashleymock1
    @itzmeashleymock1 2 роки тому +29

Yeah... no. I don't believe Zendaya has touched her face at all. First off, all that's shown are professional pictures 📸 ... easily enhancements, lighting, makeup, and/or slight edits.
Second, her eyebrow shape has changed. Pretty drastically, which ultimately changes the features surrounding your eyes. Third, her nose is almost the same from the claimed "subtle pre rhinoplasty period of 2013-2014." If you watch Euphoria (little to no makeup), her nose is the same structure and a slightly different size when you compare it to 2013-2014.
Also, Zendaya, many times, is referred to as a model due to her perfect angles. She's been on red carpet since she was a child. Smiles (closed or open, big, or small) or smiling are contractions of a set of muscles and pressure point stimulation. She's learned her angles, both body and face.
As we age, our face changes. There isn't anything wrong with plastic surgery; anyone can do what they want. The problem is, is that plastic surgery is so common now that people believe anyone who is naturally beautiful must have had to enhance their features.
In my youth, my nose was more defined, like almost like a button. I hated it so much... But as I got older, my nose isn't quite the same. It appears bigger due to my skin and cartilage. When I say bigger, it's almost like it stretched out. It's not as defined anymore. It's almost like my skin made more room for my cartilage.
Her nose is not supposed to look exactly the same as it did in her youth.
How I explain the nose is like how I explain going through a chunky stage in your youth, and then you start getting taller. You start stretching out. Hopefully, that makes sense.

There is so much nuance to this discussion about what Lorry actually does and the good it can do. On one hand I can see why it's good that she talks about celebs getting plastic surgery because it does help the young people realize that what they are seeing isn't necessarily real and they shouldn't feel bad because they can't reach that beauty standard. On the other hand it's also weird to me that grown adults are so invested in what another grown adult has or hasn't done to their bodies. I feel like if the celeb isn't promoting their look as all natural it shouldn't matter. If the celeb gas had body work done but they insist on saying that their bodies were made through diet and the gym I can understand doing a video on them. But if they have had tweaks and they aren't saying anything about it just leave them alone. I think if you want to make videos about celebs and how the beauty standard is unobtainable due to plastic surgery you should use the ones that are known to have had surgery. Using any other celeb comes off as exposing them even if it's done in a respectful manner. And imagine being someone that has worked hard to change the shape of your body into something you are happy with and here comes a video saying that you had work done, invalidating all of your hard work? How would you feel? And you can't really say well it's just Lorry opinion because even though it is, and she states that it is, there are tons of her followers that take her word for gospel. They assume that if she speculated that someone has had surgery then they must have had it. There's pros and cons to what Lorry does and I'd love to see her address the parts that are a bit more problematic.

@@beethoven1811 That’s not my argument. My argument is that Doja’s rant was in awful taste.
If you choose to be in the spotlight, people will talk about you, and you can’t stop them. Lorry took the high road and even though Doja was incredibly disrespectful, Lorry took down the video out of respect for Doja and her wishes. Lorry makes observations about whether or not a person’s beauty is natural or cosmetically enhanced - there’s nothing wrong with either, but it’s important to be transparent with fans as a public figure because otherwise you’re feeding into impossible beauty standards. Some things, like the look of a rhinoplasty, are simply unattainable naturally. If young girls who dislike their noses grow up seeing their idol’s nose change, but theirs never does, they’ll think there’s something inherently wrong with them. Or take the Kardashians and their BBLs. Nobody can achieve that simply by weight training like they say they do. And that’s why disclosure is important.
Never has Lorry said that someone looks bad. In fact, she tends to compliment both her observed before and after. She’s a respectful, real content creator and a beautiful woman who doesn’t deserve to be torn to pieces in front of a global audience. Nevertheless she remained graceful and took the video down.

If you are commenting on someone’s body on the internet (I repeat, even if it’s a celebrity) and that person tells you not to, you will have to stop because the person has everything right to allow or not allow that, it’s their body. Only if Doja was more polite, this situation would be handled way better and there wouldn’t be a feud. That’s why the video got taken down, Doja got offended. About her procedures, that’s her information which she has all the right to keep private. Don’t forget, what Lorry does is make assumptions (she is not even specialised in this, but explains her point well), so that still doesn’t prove if Doja or any of these celebs have procedures until medical receipts are shown (these kind of things are usually kept private by anyone actually). I can’t understand how and why people are so interested in these women’s bodies and procedures that you can now make a living on commenting on people’s bodies. It’s mind boggling to me. Yes she’s helping others feel better, but if someone says “this person is not completely natural” and you’re feeling better about yourself by listening to that…that just doesn’t sound healthy to me. Lorry Hill’s work on UA-cam is necessary when young women are constantly comparing themselves to celebrities that aren’t honest about their procedures. She illustrates why we need to stop looking up to celebrities when it comes to beauty standards. If it’s okay for a journalist to dig into the truth behind a politician’s motives or uncover facts about corporations, it’s okay to show regular women that these celebrities aren’t all-natural. LONG COMMENT Disclaimer: Personal opinion, I am not coming for Lorry.
I don't understand why these videos need to be made specifically when she, herself, isn't 100% sure about whether these surgeries were actually done or not.
I understand that it helps "educate" and uplift some people, especially young girls or just women in general. I also understand and am aware of the fact that a lot of influencers and celebrities impose dangerous and unrealistic beauty standards on society by lying about surgeries that they actually had, BUT... I don't see how nitpicking someone else's appearance helps with a huge portion of the issues caused by unrealistic beauty standards (EDs, insecurity, body shaming etc.,) these things are in part born from people commenting on other people's appearance. I don't see how someone's body should be anyone else's business, whether they had surgery, whether they're lying about getting the said surgery. It's their body, period.
I appreciate that Lorry aims to spread positivity and destigmatize cosmetic procedures/surgery, but celebrities are real people too. To me, these videos come off as putting other people down (though again, I understand that that is NOT Lorry's intention with these videos) so some people can feel better about themselves.
(TW: Mention of ED!) All of us have been a victim of unrealistic beauty standards. Personally, I've been struggling with bulimia since I was 15 and I am now of legal age. What *I* think needs to be spread body positivity-wise is that everyone looks different. Different facial features, different body types etc., and in terms of the "conventional" beauty standard, there is most likely someone that looks better than you, or me regardless of how any of us actually look, natural or altered. What I've been working on is doing what I want with my body, and trying not to push myself to fit into a specific beauty standard if it does not make me happy and if I'm not doing it for myself; it IS hard though, I admit. I feel it is unnecessary to speculate or make comments on other people's looks, especially if it isn't your own and especially if it could possibly bring someone else down or make someone feel terrible about themselves in the process.
TL;DR: Just leave other people's looks alone.

I think the overall purpose of Lorry’s videos is to remind everyday folks that their favorite celebrities and influencers were once regular people too. A lot of celebrity’s don’t actually admit to any work they have done which is their right to privacy, but I do think it’s necessary to normalize that most of these people behind the camera are not genuine and authentically looking the way they portray themselves as.
On an ethical level I can see why people would consider her videos hurtful or shameful but she never disrespects, demeans, or makes fun of anyone’s appearance. I think it’s honestly healthy to expose the truth behind these issues especially with how much people lie and the presence of social media. But thats just my feeling behind it.
