I remember a real incident said bhi Mikhail Gorbachev. He was in Japan attending a class. Beside him sat a Japanese guy struggling to write with a pencil (it was a Japanese brand pencil ) he was sharpening the pencil again and again. So Gorbachev said why are using such a low quality and expensive Pencil why don't you use the cheap and good European pencil brand. The guy said if i am not gonna buy my own countries brand then who else will. This thing struck Gorbachev very deep. I too posted this everywhere. Ultimately want i wanna say is we must support our countries brand...if we don't we else will do tha ???

I can say that the mentality of the leader of USSR when it was broken, was the same mentality of our political leaders after independence. That is why today we have lost territories like Pakistan, Bangladesh, Kashmir and Ladakh. Arunachal is still disputed according to our neighboring country. Shaksgam Vally which was our own land was gifted by our neighbors to each other. And we even have gifted the island of Katchatheevu to Sri Lanka. The then (USSR), Russian Federation should have learned from our leaders at least from the plight that our leader did to India. Hardly anyone would have made as much fun of Mother India as our leaders have made after independence, this is bitter truth.
India would meet the same fate of USSR. India is union of nations like USSR. Union of india would disintegrate soon

I have worked with several soviet era mechanics where I live.. Hell, one was a captain flying MIGs... all of them explain it happened overnight... 1st power to their homes and street was cut off... yes, even in winter.. people just came out onto the steets and were told it's not safe here any more. One guy I know in his 60s now, said he ran to his university and found the professor just staring at his machines , now without power...
People literally put on a few belongings together and went out onto the streets.... it was wierd... imagine having money but not being able to spend it because it's worthless... overnight...
many took refuge in other countries through acquaintances they knew... to this day, almost all those people from Russia who are in their 60's either don't want to talk about it the break up or when they do, they blame Gorbachov

This video was made in 26 Dec 2021, within 2 months in 24 Feb 2022, Russia attacked Ukraine
In my point of view, the fall of USSR was necessary because
1) It boosted the thought of democracy in world.
2) The competition between America and USSR could have been turned to 3rd World war.
3) The rise of Russia as a Super power and a democracy which is the only country that can counter America's power.
4) Finally to finish Military Era.
I don't say necessary it was but it had some benefits like globalization. War Never end. Even today economic sanction of US and Europe rules the world economy. US single handlely killed million of people in middle East countries and Russia was keep mum.
