John Kani killed it. But we need to give a shout out to Sol. What a talent and a future legend! I dont think Mac fully grasps/ realizes what a talent Sol is.
That John Kani intro got me into tears!!! I felt goosebumps and got so emotional. Praying so hard to be able to afford the Super Chiller support in the future. This is the history we need....
I think MacG was quoted out of context regarding his views on the email that was read. I believe in the following: 1. Everyone has a right to participate or not participate in current affairs in as much as they will be affected directly or indirectly. 2. MacG is a public broadcaster and an influential person, however we shouldn't put the burden of leading the youth on his shoulders. He is not an activist or politician. People like to have expectations on famous people and make them gods. They are not our saviour, they are not our God. As a community we should be doing it for ourselves without looking up to someone to do it for us. 3. If we are truly being honest as black South Africans we "all" live in our own cocoons because we are not united. We talk the talk but not walk the talk e.g. National Shutdown has been happening only on Twitter and never on the ground, it's all just speculations and wishful thinking. 4. MacG spoke his truth and frankly I don't blame him cos this country is soo divided and the gap between the rich and poor is too wide. We've seen over and over again that if you don't have money you are screwed. Money buys you options, so what will one do? Ensure that they get that paper to live a comfortable life. Plus it's not like MacG didn't go through rough patches years ago and even now. 5. If the people that were voted for did their job there wouldn't be a need for all these marches. 6. The very same youth bashing MacG on what he said about not wanting to lead the march or getting involved in politics is the same youth that doesn't want to vote, exercising one of the most important rights fought for by our fallen leaders (that's spitting on their graves) yet they have the power (numbers) to remove the ruling party and change the constitution and many other policies. So how about we start ourselves before we point fingers at the next guy when 3 fingers are pointing at us?
Ghost Lady did not like Mac's remarks about giving up on a country... also, i'm disappointed at how Mac had the email read and took that as him supporting the youth's fight yet he gave a negative energy of it saying "i gave up on the country, i only care about my wife and kids, i wanna drink" that was honestly unnecessary, if he won't go o the March and as someone who he says supports the youth, he could have sent positive vibes, share few things that we suffer from as youth and then with respect, tell us that he won't make it because(his reasons)... we buy data, we are paying the member fees, we promote Grandure, we are the youth, unemployed youth... and he just like the so called president blatantly laughs and says he's no savior, whatever whatever... sending a lot of negative vibes... yes he entertains us, which keeps us sane from this fucked up country, but when it comes to the serious issues of the youth, no part of entertainment makes a difference!!! I was so anticipating him to say "i'm kidding..." but it's okay... those who can make it to the march PLEASE GO, those who can't, please share the news, share the hashtag, speak good of it, IT'S FOR US ALL!!!!! I continued with the rest of the episode, i hit the like button... for the sake of the podcast...
I mean he was just talking about the power of us youth collected. Explain the Jagermeister thing. But when he said "fuck the youth", I didn't expect it. But I get that he is not that guy, marching and all that but he should have been a bit serious about the issue.
I like the fact that MacG is honest about not wanting to go there, he doesn't pretend to be an affiliate of some political activism or movement, Big up MacG for ur honesty and rawness 💪🏾💪🏾
@@kholofelolebepe9637 yebo it's not. Mara the guy did say he could his "voice" to raise awareness about the march so atleast attend nyana. Also just how they kept laughing and joking about going to the event I think low key took away the importance of the event...
@@kholofelolebepe9637 for the fact that he said it's a powerful email and he even saw the need to read it out loud, he shouldn't have backed up and changed like that. I'm sure even the people who wanted to go when they heard the email after he backed up they didn't wanna go or they were discouraged.

Kinda agree with Mac G sentiments. We as the youth and young adults should stand up. If we want change then in 2024 we should use our votes and vote for change. Black people don't vote generally. Voter education is needed. Which must be done by IEC, but those funds also get channeled to their office at municipalities and become part of the patronage system. Again information is free nowadays, ignorance and arrogance is too much. Imagine last local government elections 95 percent of white voters voted. Which even the white youth know it's important to vote. We are the part of our own demise.
Tebogo Thobejane asked that we leave the IT girls’ topic. And it made sense how she argued her point. Let’s leave people to sleep with whomever they wanna sleep with. We’re dragging it unnecessarily.
I love Mac's honesty regarding the email I've been trying to host events that are educational and interesting for the youth in Somerset East but hay everytime its not landing even the Municipality is not helping the youth is not even attending they just want the field and alcohol it's exhausting to say but ke we will keep going maybe one day someday something will come right.
When I watched the John Kani interview I was wondering who wrote the script great writing skills Solly.. And I agree with MacG when I gave birth to my daughter I really understood and saw that there's a God yoooh having a baby is the best thing to ever happen to me..... And yeah I also agree with MacG with youth power we do have power but we just misdirect it we make trends for bad things instead of things that will help us in the future!! Wow MacG stuns me every episode 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

I love these type of conversations of power dynamics. When are we taking back spaza shops etc, when are we graduating to opening big stores to compete with abo PnP and Shoprite our time will come.
Sol Phenduka, Mr Punisher. Congratulations on the Kaya FM slot with Dineo Ranaka, bigs up to you man. I could tell MacG knows what's happening with the Thomas and Skhumba removal, the laughing there was just too suspect
Hamilton Ndlovu is very smart he will rise from this, interestingly our white counter parts are chowing worse than what meets the eye. He was just in an unfortunate situation but believe you me that guy is a monster in business.
At 51:21 I agree with Macg he shouldn't force himself to be an activist, if the youth want change they have a democratic right to vote, stats show that the youth don't show up at the polls so how can a march bring change?. Look at how the EFF(a party of young people) conduct themselves in parliament, are they addressing any issues of the youth or they're just there for vibes. Wake up guys or are we too woke
I get MacG power dynamics, lets remember June 16, youth did not sit in the boardrooms nor taking part in the economy but they managed to change the status quo of that time!
Sol, Mac, Ghost lady & the crew legit deserve all the flowers they can get 💯💯 this podcast is low-key revolutionary man. continue changing lives guys, the chillaz are behind yal 1000% 👑👑

Keep soldiering on sister your efforts will pay off eventually ❤️
When I watched the John Kani interview I was wondering who wrote the script great writing skills Solly.. And I agree with MacG when I gave birth to my daughter I really understood and saw that there's a God yoooh having a baby is the best thing to ever happen to me..... And yeah I also agree with MacG with youth power we do have power but we just misdirect it we make trends for bad things instead of things that will help us in the future!! Wow MacG stuns me every episode 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Sol is going to Kaya fm! Wow the milestones in this show. Proud!!
I have a Charity event on June 16 in my Chisanyama we usually do soup kitchen on Wednesdays but on Thursday we will hand out clothes and cook for unfortunate ones. Angesabi tuu
Don’t even tatazel man! 🔥🔥🔥
Where Are You Based? And Are You Only Doing It For Youth Day?
Dr John Kani's interview was legendary and yall legends for bringing him in. 😎

When the Mash, ghost lady and Sol say, hhay hhay after McG says something out of order, they sound like Alostro's friend 😅
🔥🔥🔥😅
I'm watching this show again after the sol controversy.....now I understand the convo that was taking place ....and I'm in stitches.....sol kept it real
I love these type of conversations of power dynamics. When are we taking back spaza shops etc, when are we graduating to opening big stores to compete with abo PnP and Shoprite our time will come.
Flop korr black people don't wanna support each other they'd rather team up to see u fall/fail than to help you rise🥲
He will just open a shell company
I sometimes butcher words so just out passionate curiosity I checked the pronunciation. Dr J Kani's nger in hubinger pronunciation is on point.
We need a Podcast and chill festival 🔥🔥and it must be summer or spring September and Sun vibes
In Limpopo, though
haibo Cape Town lol
They said they will have a National tour. I’m not sure whether when we reach 600k or 1 million subscribers
I agree, festival please
We pray that it be should be national, mmmm..... I can just imagine the turn_up yangempela🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥👑
Nicely said , We are too woke 😔!!!!
Shout to the legend John Kani for gracing us with a legendary interview 🙌👏🙏
I get MacG power dynamics, lets remember June 16, youth did not sit in the boardrooms nor taking part in the economy but they managed to change the status quo of that time!
Sol, Mac, Ghost lady & the crew legit deserve all the flowers they can get 💯💯 this podcast is low-key revolutionary man. continue changing lives guys, the chillaz are behind yal 1000% 👑👑

" *Please find a therapist, seek one (sick one)* " Sol the *Pun-isher* strikes again🔥👌🏿😁
Lol that pun is actually in reference to Fresh's surname, Sekwane.
Exactly, that's what I thought 🤣
@@pogishorapulana7871 It's too much then 🔥👌🏿 🤣 I didn't get that one but now that you've mentioned it, it's even more hilarious 🤞🏿😂
@@yanomovement lol true, Sol is a genius.
