I lost my grandfather back in the summer. It happened while I was away and I didn't get to say goodbye, but the holiday season was so important to the family and as always gathered together under one roof. She held us all together.
I don't know if we will have another Christmas like those ones, but this song makes me think of her hustling around the kitchen with a dozen sons and daughters putting the finishing touches on Christmas dinner.
That's how I remember her, and how I always want to. Nothing is truly gone as long as it lives in memory.

I love this song. I play it everyday during the Christmas season as I remember my son, Vincent Champagne who lost his life long battle with Cystic Fibrosis 15 years ago.
