He seems quite happy to actually be there, this is a rareity if you have looked at some of his other interviews. Strange? Yes, but still very intriguing. He is quite the performer.
One of the best and most comfortable FZ interviews I've seen so far on youtube... only spoilt at the end with the Paul McCartney advert! From the real deal to the fake deal... intellectual-rebel to crowd pleasing fluff !
fluff??? i admit to not knowing all pauls solo stuff being a "john" person but....gimme a break !! due to my older sister the house was filled w/beatle music, some of the best music ever written, if u dont think so, you cant hear properly...i mean, really, listen to it :)) im a HUGE zappa fan, HUGE !! if im not listening, its playing in my mind, same as the beatles, frank, pure true genus , same can be said about the beatles, beatles were of their time, they are timeless, as frank is this is my music timeline lol, beatles, donny osmond, alice cooper, frank lol beatles, the very best frank, the very best different, you cant compare, why would i want to? im just nicely trying to say, smarten up ! lol (think u touched a nerve lol)
I'm sorry man, i dunno... there's just something about PM solo that's so so so cheesy! Of course the Beatles are awesome...but that's 'cos John and George were there too! lol... still I bit too pop formula predictable square rhythm...for my taste, but def have an occasional time and place in my music library for them... but FZ is on a completely different and higher level of musical genius and satisfaction for the listeners... anyway, its all good :) Happy days
I reckon he liked Australia as it was very different to the cancerous environment of the US under Nixon et al. In those days, we would've seemed like a country town to world weary Frank...he's a very bright man with a great grasp of comparative sociology.....
really hoping someone will post franks toronto concerts !! 200 motels would play alot at "the original 99 cent roxy" in toronto, all night shows, theyd save 2oo motels till last, to keep us all night i think lol, wow, seen some wacky movies there!! "private parts" john landis's "schlock" only place i knew of where things were "cool" as long as you were "cool" youd get high off the air, youd listen for the tickle of beer bottles rolling down, row by row, youd lift your feet lol, my god, they musta made a killing off the empties! great memories...young ppl today, idk, i dont think they could pull off a roxy experience w/out violence, cops....really truly is sad

There are lots of reasons to think of Mr Zappa as unique but the fact he was an hyper articulate musician must be near top of the list
One clever, real dude...thanx Frank
interesting mannerism, the way he looks the interviewer in the eye for the question, and looks down to reply...
his honesty is inspiring
Dunn dun dunn - A wonderful guy and a hell of a musician..miss you Frank. This world is grim without you
Frank Zappa must have heard his name sung on Smoke on The Water every single day in 1973.
You are so right%- !!!!
Jesus. I could listen to his breaking-down of his tunes all day long. R.I.P., Grandmaster.
I am sure Jesus loves hearing that.
"Helping the shut-ins" Yup, Frank!
To think; he only had 20 years left at this point... A damn shame.
Poor frank , such an unfair ending prematurely from prostate cancer, so unfair , he was a genius
Genius. Enough said.
great! thanks!
thx 4 dis.

As i tell my school kids.. You must be like Frank Zappa.. King Tone and throwing Sparks.
I wonder who the interviewer is, this on Australian TV..
They cut his album to prices here in Australia..
Ive had something terrible happen to me
What's the portuguese extraction?
Someone from Portugal.
Roman Winkel
If it was so obvious why would he question in YCDTOSA vol: "Do you know what Portuguese extraction is?"
@@pedrozappa because he's honest and not hung up
