I enjoy your podcast. Gorgeous yarny background, lots of projects. Glorious ❤
Aww thank you so much for the kind words and thank you for watching!
Love the stats as always, especially seeing what FO’s you wear most frequently!
thanks! I'm liking tracking that particularly it's so interesting to see what I'm actually picking to wear!
I neeeeed that yarn jam!! I cannot wait for this release
yay!!
I knew your colorway was going to be amazing!! As a very true winter person can really appreciate this color. I'm so excited for this to be released will definitely be getting a few braids of yours on release. Also excited to see that YarnJam is going to be SAFF this year and that I'll get to see the rest of the colorways in person. I love learning about new fiber dyers.
@@Mobuchholz yay! Give Trisha a big hug from me she’s the best! I’ll share pics of all the braids soon but they’re all sooooo good!
I can't wait to see you wear the finished market henley! I think this would look so good with white bottoms. The white will make the colours pop. Looking forward to Sunday 😊
@@ursulas9369 yay me too!! I swear the white jeans are my go to for all knit tops now haha 🤣
@@a_knotty_mess I know! So good with almost everything. I have a few white bottoms now so that I am more relaxed about wearing them even though the risk of them getting dirty quickly is high. Now that I don't carry my kids around anymore and they don't wipe their shoes and dirty hands on me my dog has taken over that job 😂
@@ursulas9369 😂😂😂
One thing that would be really helpful to know is if on Saturday you could post on your social media whether the first two hours are actually masked as flock promised or if most people don't bother masking. I'd like to go but with the covid surge this summer + people masking less I'd like to see if people mask on Saturday before I decide to commit going Sunday morning when they promised another 2 hour masked shopping window.
@@prettypanda I sure can post about it but I’ll tell you last year it was strictly enforced and lots of volunteers around to make sure everyone was being safe. Jess takes this kind of thing seriously so I don’t see it being different this year. Saturday will still be packed during that time though so if you’re worried about it Sunday masked shopping should be way more chill!
@prettypanda I volunteered at Flock during the masked shopping section last year and can confirm that everyone, including Flock vendors, were compliant! and I agree that Sunday will be the session with the least traffic.
I’m so glad you’re liking the Elle Kennedy books! I just finished all her audiobooks from my library. They’re a fun listen!
So fun and she has soooo many. This is a great hole for me to fall into haha
@@a_knotty_mess Enjoy!
Thanks for another great video! I don't recall what my 2024 yarn/knitting goals were but enjoy following along with your stash tracking. Please don't feel pressured to be stash-negative because you are growing your creative library! But also, I'd love a "how to destash" guide if that is every something you end up doing. As for tracking fibers... Maybe if you added it as its own category as a pseudo yarn weight (like unspun fibers when you buy them then handspun-dk once you finish spinning them)? Data tracking and making spreadsheets is one of my weird talents but I haven't brought myself to catalog my own yarn library...yet 😅.
@@CraftingBookNerd cataloguing was both a pain and so fun to really look at what I have again! I had a lot of project inspiration while doing it too! That might be a fun way to do fiber but I might also want to put in some actual spin data??? This is why I’ve been putting it off haha
Your statistics are very interesting. Do you find that when the 'new' wears off you reduce the frequency of wears on your garments? As you are a prolific knitter I realize you generally have newer garments to wear but as you look at your tracker and see the items you don't wear as often would you attribute that to how long it has been in your wardrobe, or something else?
it feels a bit like that right now but part of it is just that I have become better at making garments that suit me so much more! Some of my less worn things are also what I would consider date night tops and I just won't really wear them to work so they get less wears. I've also become better at picking yarns I love to wear so that has also impacted what I pick over and over again. I'm hoping over the years a lot of these will stay favorites and new things will get lots of initial wear but fit right into the things I love to wear for a long time!
