Harmonious wasn't meant to be a permanent addition to EPCOT so it wasn't replaced because people didn't like it. It was only meant to be there for the 50th anniversary of WDW. Harmonious was a great show IMO, when it worked correctly. They just had issues making the show run properly every night. There was almost always something that didn't work right during the show whether it was the laser effects, or some of the fireworks. I think some people just want Illuminations back which I doubt will ever happen and people just need to realize that.
I like your insight. Hopeful for Luminous but I’m gonna air on the side of cautious optimism. Would love to see Reflections of Earth make a come back one day but I think that’s probably me just being hopeful lol.
Honestly the closer we get to December and the fact that Disney still hasn’t given us an exact opening date yet is a bit concerning. Still really hoping they keep their promise for this year, but there’s also a small part of me that wouldn’t be surprised if it opened in January right before festival of the arts.
Where does Moana fit in with Epcot?!? IP is taking over the park. I don’t mind a sprinkling of IP here and there but this is overkill. I’m an Epcot traditionalist and not apologetic about it.

More like opening next year. I have friends who are imagineers on the project.

Completely agree. It’s a nice addition and is a very fun walkthrough but would’ve worked a lot better over at Animal Kingdom.
