This channel made me appreciate so much ant colonies that I now feel bad for them. I kept thinking and, whenever he travels and takes a queen, does he basically kill that entire colony off so he can start a new one in a cube with the queen and a few others? RIP my kings.

It’s called finding a stopping point lol. I have a set time for everything. I knew the ants would be fine by themselves for a few hours so I was comfortable going to the gym. Side note: if it were a different species like leaf cutters or whatever I’d just push the gym back but if I don’t need to I won’t. I like to stick to my schedule

When having a lot of eggs how do you manage or does the colony take care of them themselves?
All I gotta do is provide food, water, heat and space and the colony with do the rest. It’s quite easy
