I keep listening to this specific uploaded version. I dont know what it is but I love the minute differences between different live performances of the same Hail songs. The way he says "I dont know why" at the end. Small stuff like that. So I'll listen to a studio version of a favorite song and then go look up a quality live or acoustic performance they did of it. Subscribed to this channel cause there's all the best ones on here. This band has been getting me through *such* a rough year. Wish I could express it to them, particularly Donovan cause his voice has become such a comfort for me.
I just wanted to share with you, I went to a Hail concert (VIP) today!!!! I was in the front row and it was amazing, absolutely amazing :''''') They didn't play Dead Messages (so I will continue to play your upload on a loop as always💖) but I got to give Donovan a fan letter and a bunch of art I made for the band. He was walking by me from outside the venue after playing acoustic guitar for everybody and then I held it out to him and he looked at me and I tried to stick the envelope between his fingers and he was smiling and said "Thank you! :)" and took it. I hope he looks at it cause I wrote some embarrassing long heartfelt letter and like 6 or 7 drawings. And anyway I am maybe gonna try to upload some concert vids little by little. I recorded on like three different phones cause one was running out of space, the other battery dying, but it was such an amazing time. I got a good balance of keeping the camera in a mostly good angle without having to look through it, so I could fully experience it at the same time as recording it. I also recorded a couple songs from the headliners, which were all amazing. I recorded some from the stripped down one too, there was actually a point where I slid my phone over with the lock screen set to my Q&A questions bc I have a voice disability so I wouldn't be loud enough to shout my questions. Aric was like "I'm not touching that bc covid" and I was thinking to myself oh fuck that was a bad idea, I shouldn't have slid my phone there. But then Dovoan picked it up and answered one of my questions (I had another question written, he didn't answer it at first, so I was spending the rest of the time panicking thinking it was a bad question and he hated it. But after the Q&A, he came up to me and said "hey you had another question right?" And answered it, directly to meee 😭. I was thinking "oh my god he's right in front of me, talking to me, my question wasn't bad after all!!!!!" that I kinda missed some of what he was saying, but I remember the main part. My question was "how do you deal with playing songs that carry really heavy emotions" basically and he was so kind to answer it right to me personally like that after the Q&A had already ended :') ). Sorry for the long comment I just thought it would be cool to share that bc I am always playing your Hail concert uploads 💖💖💖💖 and lowkey I listen to this one more than the studio version 😂

I don't know why they don't perform more acoustic versions of their songs.
They should play more acoustic versions. Imagine if they released an album of acoustic versions of a bunch of their songs @__@
