It's great to see that Terra-Gator and Ro-Gator self-propelled machines weren't just thrown out into scrap, but in the last years they are getting re-born!
May I ask a question: Why does the operator set the machine kind off diagonally, like the front axle isn't aligned with the rear axle? I see this with the potato harvesters as well.
This is called crab steer. The front and rear wheels run aligned to each other and not through the same track. It reduces compaction and leaves a level surface.
@@Agrifotodotnl Hehe! You got that one right. Would you mind doing a video on large scale outdoor tomato farming in the Netherlands? I am a tomato farmer from Kenya and here tomato is primarily grown outdoor and supported using stakes. So I wonder how you do it in the Netherlands.
@@FinneyWambua That is interesting to hear. I have never been to a tomato farm in the Netherlands. Its all in greenhouses. Not much machinery involved.
called crabsteer by most. it helps abit against ground compaction, instead of front and rear tires compact the same "track" it will now share the weight over a bigger area. so it has those big chunky tires and none of them drive into the same spot but 4 separate ones. can crabsteer it both ways and for transport its locked off and steers normally
