Hey all! Love the feedback. A couple of ppl reminded me i forgot the twinkle girls OMG. I DIDNT EVEN REALIZE THEY WERE NOT HERE. I MADE A GRADING AND EVERYTHING FOR THEM 😭😭😭 I gave YaLe a D and the others F but I don’t completely agree with my own rating

@@cloudchillx1552 oh yeah definitely, they also did so that one or two members outshine the others like they did for xiao ting and yurina, they gave them killing part and parts that suit them while for the others parts out of their range... I remember the twins saying that they wanted to show their dance skills better but mnet gave a cute and high pitched song

I agree with 90% of this list, few changes I would make is:
Give chaehyun a B instead of C cause it was just one mistake and she still did very well for the rest of the performance
And cho haeun an F, her vocals were pretty unstable and she definitely needs more training so I wouldn’t place her above bahiyyih and hyewon
And most of these girls also didn’t do that well in the demo stage because mnet didn’t choose the right songs for them, I wish they got to choose their own songs to perform, xia yan absolutely slayed in HYLT and did so much better than violeta, xingqiao was done kinda dirty too, it’s obvious that her vocal range is not fit for doing a song like rumor
-Chaehyun got a C mostly because her performance was a bit underwhelming considering her training and her dance was off (the highnote was unoticeable to i kind of discounted it but since it was a big deal on the show - i factored it in)
-Haeun: now that everyone's commenting, i'm kinda rethinking her grade
-SAME. I wish they got to choose their songs :( They would shine more and obv do better.

Most of those song choices were terrible, I was wondering if Mnet chose the songs and groups because it seemed so weird that they would all choose mostly popular newer songs that is WAYYY out of their vocal range. Like you would usually find out what each member of your group can do and then pick a song that would complement everyone's abilities.
(I will say that I thought it was possible that they chose the songs themselves, as a lot of the choices seemed like what kpop fans would pick if given the choice, but there was also something very off about the different choices.)

Yeah, and sadly this a tactic that is also used in talent shows like American Idol, the voice and X factor. The people don't even get to pic the audition song that we see on TV. It's sad and very unfair to the artists. But it seems like it's a common thing in music competitions. That's why we end up with so many bad performances with good singers.
I would give Sein an A, she carried the group vocally

Imo Mashiro and Nagomi's performance is better than Yurina's so I think they would also get an A. And if it's like produce the theme song evaluation would be the next part and probably the K,C,J01-05 would be the A ranks.
Mashiro's eyes were dead rather than fierce, note that she wasn't even a Top 9 candidate for this round. Nagomi may get an A

A bit of these are questionable.
Nagomi and Mashiro deserve A. Their whole performance can be considered a perfect one.
Hyewon and Bahiyyih definitely above Haeun as they were the only stable ones in their group
My changes:
Dumdi Dumdi; both in A. I feel like P101 valued "flawless performances" over "performances that are super highly impressive in one way but maybe had a few flaws" if that makes sense. So I could see them both getting A because 0 mistakes were made and they both danced/sung damn well the whole time.
Black: at least B. Soloists are valued a lot in both shows and despite shaky vocals, I can see it being excused because of the shock of "Wow, she's doing a BoA song solo and actually did pretty well?"
Paradise Lost: at least B. Similar point to Moana with Black; the coaches are aware how hard Paradise Lost is to perform solo, so the shock of that would offset some slightly shaky vocals.
Maria: both C. Feels like a lot of the P101 coaches would have a problem with the vocals here (the technique is just outright wrong, they're trying to mimic the vocals of Hwasa and Wheein which means they have a ton of tension that I think would be commented on. Their dance was also out of sync at some parts, but got better as it went on).
Siren: probably C. I love Ziyin SO much but Produce really highlights screwed up high notes, and she was off key a few times unfortunately. She's way more talented than she showcased here, so I think they'd give a C.
Violeta: I don't see them all getting Fs at all. It wasn't a bad performance, just mediocre and boring (typically Ds with a few C ranks in P101).
Crazy: Sein would probably get an A for pulling off the high note decently. If a participant does ONE thing notably well, they usually get a boosted rank.
Helicopter: Cai Bing maybe moved lower with the P101 coaches as opposed to the GP999 ones. If we're being honest, she didn't sing or rap, her dancing was just okay and the GP999 coaches are a lot more focused on the whole "aura" thing. In a Produce show I think she would get a lower rank. Probably B, maybe even C. Maybe a hot take and don't take this as me hating her or "falling victim to evil editing" but Cai Bing is mostly a pretty face with pretty lacking skills. Her dancing is, again, just okay; rather stiff with weird placements and inconsistent timing. And we haven't heard her sing or rap. I dunno. She COULD be one of those participants that get an A but immediately move down to C/D because of their skills being showcased. I think Chang Ching could potentially get higher because her vocals were actually decent here but not at all noticed by the GP999 coaches. Not super likely though.
I agree with pretty much all of this, especially the cai bing point (no hate to her) but some of her dancing is sometimes too fast, too slow or the top of her body is disjointed from the bottom half

I don't agree, PD101 trainees were more talented overall (e.g Sejeong, Yeonjung, Chungha, Kim Juna, Kang Sira etc.)

Not me only realizing now that Lim Chenhan performed Roly Poly in the demo stage. Gosh I literally hyped her SO MUCH in Mic Drop but never cross my mind that she is the same person with the girl who caught my attention doing Cheon Seojin's imitation in the first episode.
Hot Sauce being the first all A group: deserve.
I'm kind of annoyed with the Cai Bing slander. After her being mistranslated, everyone suddenly began discrediting literally everything that she has done and calling her just a pretty face. In that performance, she did have really good stage presence, and her vocal tone stood out a lot in contrast to the vocalists in the performance (Fu Yaning was also great). Cai Bing does struggle with consistency and rhythm, but she has very pretty dance lines that make her alluring, and there are times when her dance is actually really good technique-wise too. It's just that it fluctuates. Also, I think she does have a unique charisma that isn't easily found. What makes some idol groups more popular than others is not necessarily technique, as most idols have good technique, but some unique elements that make the members charismatic and stand out. To me, Cai Bing has that.

Besides i understand all the comments saying she doesn't have rhythm etc. but they dont even judge the others that harshly so its really not fair even if they were right

I think Okazaki Momoko from the 1000% performance atleast deserve a D grade. I mean if you listen close enough she's the only stable one in their group, and her dance is also clean. Wen Zhe atleast deserve a C. Seungeun deserves a B, i mean she got all what it takes, her vocals only shakes a bit but her performance is really good. Nagomi and Mashiro deserves an A, their performance is really stable so i think they deserve to be in A
Edit: Xingqiao i think needs to be in F, her vocals is very unstable the whole performance so as her dance. Cai Bing, if only she's not a top 9 member, would atleast deserve a C. She's off beat a few times and looks kinda stiff.
Okazaki Momoko was my pick and she is a C in this presentation but if mnet wouldn't chose the song, she had could an A or a B. She is a full package, is so sad that she didn't make it

Fancy;
Kishida Ririka would get a D at most. Her singing was far from okay. She could have maybe been a C if she showed slightly better stage presence because the high note wasn't exactly a fail.
Murakami Yume might have been C. Her dance skills are easily the best out of the group, not to mention she had pretty good stage presence. Her singing was almost on par with Kishida Ririka, so it could be a C but I'm not sure.
Kitajima Yuna would get a D, not an F.
Black Mamba;
An Jeongmin would definetly get an A, her vocals were pretty good. She didn't have any mistakes either.
Lee Yunji would easily get a B, maybe even an A. She easily showed the best stage presence out of the 3. She has idol-like facial expressions and she easily manages to catch the camera during the performance. Her vocals weren't bad either.
Kim Chaehyun would get a B, not a C. She screwed up the high note and then lost concentration but she had really good vocals for the remaining parts of the song. Not to mention she sang like %80 of the song herself.
Dumdi Dumdi;
A for both of them. They managed to remain stable all throughout the song despite the restless choreography.
Black / Paradise Lost;
B for both.
Hug U;
Sakurai Miu would have been a B.
Boombayah;
Kamikura Rei might have been an A.
Mr. Chu;
Don't tell me you placed Haeun higher than Lee Hyewon and Bahiyyih. Haeun would have been an F, no doubt.
Wow Thing;
What in the world? Lee Sunwoo would obviously get an A.
Whatta Man;
Jiwon might have been an A, but not too sure.
Violeta;
Yang Zige would have easily been higher than a D. She would probably get a C. Same applies for Zhou Xinyu and Zhang Loufei.
Crazy;
Lee Chaeyun would have been a C. She literally laughed during the performance. Sein might have been an A, but not too sure.
Helicopter;
Cai Bing would be a B at most, maybe even a C. Chia Yi might have been an A. There is no way Chang Ching would have been a D, I think she would have been a B.
I Can't Stop Me;
C for Joung Min, D for Han Dana. Joung Min had really good stage presence.
Sunwoo made some mistakes so her rank is reasonable
I think nearly all of these grades are bang on, but I think Wen Zhe's performance was a C.
How could Seungeun got a C 😂 she's very stable while dancing laying here and there. The song is hard too and she's doing very well. I'd put her at least in B, but she deserves A.

The master and knetz actually praises her for her performance, she even choreographed the whole thing by herself.

Personally I feel like Lee Hyewon should get a C her vocals were pretty stable and I liked the way she ended her notes but with saying that non of them really had any facial expressions. (Also I’m so sad she got eliminated I loved her)
im so sad half these people couldve scored so much higher if mnet let them choose their own song so they could actually pick a song that suits their voice. multiple ex contestants mentioned how they werent allowed to pick the song themselves and had to sing things that were too difficult for them or didnt fit their vocal tone :/
Yaning deserves the A. Tbh i love caibing but yaning definitely carried the helicopter performance she would've been way more popular if only mnet did not evil edit her

I've seen many comments saying that Bahiyyih should be a "B" but honestly, in this presentation specifically, she lacked of both stability and technique in her voice, also her dancing wasn't the best (she tended to loose her balance and her footwork wasn't clean at all) not to mention that she looked scared while interpreting a happy/energetic song. In my opinion a "D", for this performance, is deserved, she didn't do better than her group mates.
Kotone should be A because her rap is amazing.
The stage presence of Youngeun and Jia Kick It Performance is Iconic ✨

tbh for me bahiyyih and hyewon are better than ha eun since her vocals were fairly weak, but i respect your opinion 😊

omg may i ask why you give seungeun a C? I mean her vocal is super stable and at the same time she dances so well! I think she could at least get a B to be honest!
Not hating, but her performance wasn't stable at all. I know that she's a great singer, but that performance didn't showcase her talent. She was out of breath and very pitchy, probably because the dance was too difficult to do while singing.
for me, her voice was a bit shaky and her dancing was great. I think C class would help her train the best.

Momoko Okazaki deserved better. I swear that girl's good specially her dancing. She has a past of being an idol, modeling, being in a musical (or play I forgot), and she had a lot of experience with touring as a dancer with a japanese kawaii band called babymetal, like that girl can perform for 1 hour straight for a whole week. I don't know what she'll do next but I want to see more of her.

With the knowledge that mnet chose the demo stage songs it is VERY easy to see who mnet favors. K-group get a general good performance and screen time. J-group and C-group have about 5 trainees each that get the same screen time as all of k-group. With the rest fo J-group and C-group being left in the dust. It also went very badly for k-group, who is now left with mostly B-tier trainees whilst most of the A-tier and basically all the S-tier trainees got left behind.

*Reaction: I'm fully aware that their vocals and their dance didn't really stand out much, but those facials were amazing. They kept their confidence until the end, which is a perfect reason for me to at least give them a grade higher than an F. The main part of their dance that stuck out to me is that one of them always tends to be quicker than the other. I could clearly see that during the chorus, Jiao often turns her head quicker than Qiao, which could throw them off tempo if they do it too quickly. Also, I have to say that it was very good for them to check each other's rhythm even after the performance was over. Trainees who always look out for each other and assist with correcting mistakes that could impact their progress are the kind of people that I want to put in a debut lineup.*
chaehyun's dance is good and powerful like his vocals. she deserves a A grade

i was late seeing this. hopefully if they ever do a 2nd season of girls planet, they would use this grading system. this really help which trainee/contestants to look out for based on individual grade plus expectation of growth from low rank ones.
Jia and hyerim DESERVED BETTER… I also thing sein’s voice is incredible but her dancing could use some work. For her age she’s amazing and I think w more training she would have been A and gotten further

yeah the kda grp (except suyeon) not becoming candidates when they did so well didn’t make sense at all especially since the judges seemed slightly generous letting full grps get in
Hug U team did so well and you graded them so low, especially Miu and Manami when they were better than Risako (I like Risako but she was unstable at the chorus). Nagomi deserved and A, same with Kamikura Rei, Nonaka Shana cracked her voice and you still gave her an A meanwhile Chaehyun also cracked her voice but you gave her an C? Oki Fuka deserved also an A, Lee Hyewon deserved at least a B, I agree with wow thing team, that KDA song the only one I think deserved to have an A was Suyeon because the others lacked stage presence.
