Rishe Irmgard Weitzner, a duke's daughter, has a secret: she died at the age of 20 and returned to the moment five years prior when her engagement was called off. Now, on her seventh go-around, she's determined to live to a ripe old age and spend it relaxing. But the moment she flees the castle with that decision in her heart, she runs into the infamously cruel crown prince of a rival kingdom, Arnold Hein. He happens to be the one who killed her during her life as a knight, but now, he seems to have taken a bizarre liking to her... and begs her to become his wife. Thus, in order to stay alive and prevent a war, Rishe utilizes her previous experiences to kick off her seventh life as the bride of an enemy nation's crown prince.

honestly i think they both have crushes on the other but dont really love eachother, I suspect Riche is a Lesbian preferential Bisexual*, and Arnold is not experienced enough to differentiate Infatuation, belonging, and obligation. I would directly compare their relationship to Yuki and Itsuki's relationship in Sign of Affection for the difference here. Yuki spends E1+2 clearly in love Itsuki and he pays attention to her and immediately attempts to adjust behavior to suit her disabilities. While obviously theyre both college students and civilians so Arnold and Riche being Royalty means they have much less opportunity and much higher obligation investments, Arnold is accommodating Riche as a parent would a child, not as a romantic interest would. Hes watching to see what type of person she blooms into, while agreeing to the No-Contact wedding vow is an unusual choice for someone who believes theyre in love.
*While i understand the premise and title, Riche is more open, charitable, and personable with women then she is with men, not acting and attempting to manipulate just Arnold regardless of whether shes interacting with an Imperial citizen or Once-Future associate.
@@F14thunderhawkbut ya got to remember that Arnold keeps breaking the no contact promise. Everytime he breaks it, he doesn’t realize until after he touched her. That is the impression I got from the light novel at least.

Besides, the more manipulative characters in the series aside from Rishe herself just happen to be men. The bottom line is that Rishe has never shown any romantic interest in women throughout the 4 volumes that are currently available in English.
@@F14thunderhawkI mean I don’t really consider that to be lesbian leaning bisexual. She’s shown in the first episode she is very friendly towards guys, hell in her last life she disguised herself as a dude to become a Knight.
I think it’s more she is very intelligent and knows which of the men and women she needs to safeguard her thoughts around, which is why she keeps her thoughts hidden around Arnold and later in the next episode, Arnold’s younger brother, as she fears the man he will become but has noticed he isn’t the monster currently that she thinks he is which intrigues her (also he’s very good looking and very sauve in the very evil emperor way)
Meanwhile what intrigues Arnold is the fact that Rishe at least our current version of Rishe is the least noble acting noble girl, he gained an infatuation with her watching her bump into him and then jump off an balcony, and was further intrigued when she showed swordsmanship, and her experience with herbs.
Basically both sides are safeguarding their true thoughts and are both deeply intrigued by the other, Rishe in what is different about the prince now than the sociopath he becomes, and Arnold about the woman who has captivated him due to her having an unique personality (due to living all her lives) for an noble

That doesn’t make any sense. The anime is about to start adapting the second book now and they certainly can’t condense it into a single episode. From what I found, it is getting 12 episodes.
