Still come back to this every now and then. Crazy to think it's been ten years since I first heard this song in 6th grade. Shit had me in my feels for no reason back in middle school, as did all of mac's music through high school. I remember watching this specific video when it was first posted, and I would always watch it. I couldn't help but get lost in the beauty of a song I listened to for so long accompanied with such great use of a film as a visual to accent the songs meaning. I have such a love/hate relationship with this song and I wish I didn’t because it is a lovely song but there are so many bad and traumatic memories attached to it. I had an ex that would play me this song so of course I thought it was genuine. It wasn’t, I was drained mentally and physically and even like verbally abused. He destroyed everything within me but I’ve been broken up with him for a while now and I’m with the man that makes me the happiest girl in the world and I’m slowly started to be able to listen to this song again.
