Celeste Taylor was VERY impressive tonight. Glad Coach Sides saw what I saw. Boston was like a BOSS, and her and CC continued to crystallize their game together. Katie Lou was killing it from long range. There were too many turnovers for the Fever, but luckily, ATL had at one point 4 consecutive empty possessions. You can see that the defense against CC is going to tighten in the league. But she still put up 21 points and that she's great down low when being doubled or triple teamed up high, she makes the adjustment to transition her game down low. Impressive weapons, CC!

I thought this was an important game cause it showcased what Caitlin can do on an off shooting night. You could see how smoothly the offense was run with her out on the floor. She had 6 assists but she could have really had 10+ the team missed a lot of open layups and shots of her passes and a lot of passes lead to free-throws for her teammates. She just gets her teamates alot of open shoots cause of how much of a offensive threat she is, Atlanta sent a lot of double and even triple teams at her which resulted in open shoots for her teammates. Add on a couple good defensive plays and 8 reabounds and she had a well rounded game. Caitlin can impact the game in so many ways, just keep shooting and the shoots will start to fall. Nalyssa was a beast on both ends of the floor tonight and grace did a good job of hitting some tough shots and passed well. Celeste Taylor showed a ton of hustle and played good defense. I also was happy to see aliyah getting her confidence back.

Thank You Coach! Well Said. And ‘The’ single most Important thing Im Impressed with in this conference, is our dedicated Coach Sides, Recognizing the areas we need so much to work on, Hammering Home Key Points that need to be emphasized and So Important. Yes, we won. Yes, it’s preseason and it looked good in some areas, But We need to be thankful that we have the kind of Coach that Coach Sides is. I’m a dedicated, loyal Fever fan and of course I wanna see my team win, but now is when all of this matters to work on if we want to get into the playoffs. When the season starts, all of these other WNBA Teams are going to be fully ready, and we need to be Fully Ready Also! In tonight’s game, the other Teams Starters were Not even in, and we still struggled a bit in several areas. There were so many things in this game that we need to importantly work on for Our own good. One other thing We desperately need to take advantage of - Inthe first 2 games other teams opponents are all focused on Caitlin, that is an advantage for us if we can take full advantage, and people getting open right away. Because The Opponents Focusing on Caitlin opens up so much for Us, and The Opponents are going to continue Doubling and Tripling up on Caitlin, until we give them a reason not to. I’m excited for the Season, And I know that we have absolutely great talent on our team, and these players have Maturity and high basketball IQ’s, and they understand Constructive criticisms, and The need for improving in so many areas. Love Ya Fever! Go Fever!

I’ve been very impressed with Nalyssa in the preseason; big fan of her game. Thought Boston looked better tonight. Loved the transition attempts from this team & think they will get better over time. Clark was drawing the double & triple team throughout the night, but I thought she had a pretty well rounded game for just her second game in the W, even with the poor shooting. Can’t wait until Kelsey Mitchell is back to take some of that high pressure defense off her. Also shoutout to Grace for just being solid & reliable.

Thank you Coach for pointing out the blown layups and opportunities CC created! I saw 5 blown assists she would've had plus another 2-3 missed shots with fouls that were split into one point at the stripe. Is some of it chemistry? Sure, but some of the finishes from 3' away were pathetic! In my previous combined 5 minutes of watching the W before #22, I saw this crap time and time again, yawned, and turned the W off. And people think they'd be more popular if they dunked? Christ they'd probably miss most of those too!

Insane how hard they are playing Caitlin Clark. It is like Nika Muhl in the UCONN game versus Iowa. Indiana needs to use this aggressive play against their opponent. Attack the weakside until the defense plays straight up. Caitlin played 39 games in college. Now she has to play a similar amount right after that. Every team has South Carolina style players on their team. With all the off the court stuff, she looks exhausted.

If there's no bigs to cut it, (SMITH CAN!) get ones who CAN and WANT IT badly enough for this historic moment. IA only needed 1 big, Clark had 3 receivers who HIT those assists including 3's most every time. NO excuse at the WNBA level, coach. And Sides is WRONG - 3's in transition are ALWAYS good - IF you have the players skilled for it.

I'm late to this discussion, but I thought this game was better than the first, when I thought the team looked a little disjointed. They still are having problems adjusting to CCs passing, especially in transition. It's like they're not expecting it and then it gets mishandled. I also thought that Grace Berger was a great influence on the floor, almost a calming effect. She seems to able to take the stress off everyone and quietly strokes it when no one is looking. She was great tonite.

Coach Kristie, you shouldn't have to explain EVERYTHING to the reporters, please save your voice. Also save all your insights for your team, no need to tell all your game plans and impressions to the press. Get your voice rested! One other thing if you get this, I know Caitlin is advancing the ball mostly- but to get the vultures off her when they are shadowing her at half court- just have someone else take the ball up, and have Caitlin waiting mid post, and work your plays from there. That would throw every team off, since if she doesn't have the ball initially, it may be easier to work the ball to her after someone advances the ball to the point.

i think caitlin knows this. grace and erica wheeler will have more success bringing ball down. they double teamed caitlin right away. caitlin needs the ball in her hands after a rebound is grabbed tho cuz shes the only one i seen advance the ball ahead successfully the rest dont loom ahead they just bring the ball down.

@@RebekahSchraufnagel My point is, every defense is now set up to dog and double her so she can't advance the ball and she has been turning the ball over more often, I think she had 7 turnovers last night. So yeah, I do agree with a fast break outlet to CC. But after a score or slow advance, let another ball handler handle it and defenses won't know what to do if Caitlin isn't advancing the ball. If she is still doubled out on a wing, that leaves the entire other side wide open for an open arc three, or break to the paint for the other talented players.

There may be another advantage to opponents guarding Caitlin so close. She can draw a foul simply by getting to her 3point comfort zone ... doing an "insta-stop"... and shoot the rock. Opponents will clear Caitlin for half second then jerk back to [try] a block.. but this is a great opportunity to draw the foul and get a 4pt play or even 3 pt at the line. Something to experiment with.

I was shocked at how LITTLE the Fever players even TRIED to grab offensive rebounds, to say nothing of defensive rebounds. It was horrible. They were not even TRYING. One of them would just throw up one hand feebly to try to reach the offensive rebound and then just GIVE UP. I had to turn it off for a while. No reason to watch anybody play that poorly. I tuned back in towards the end of the second quarter.

I hope Coach Sides understands that at Iowa, they like taking 3s and lay ups, not midrange shots, coz they like to run and get points fast. It's not a "bad habit" and she should not be throwing Caitlin under the bus this early. They need to keep in pace with her and leverage her talents. Hope coach doesn't take the shine and spirit out of Caitlin. They don't look happy though they won. Smith only has good words for Clark.

If Caitlin is not allowed to make the exciting 3's, people will stop watching. People want to be entertained, and Caitlin does that. Stop that, and they will stop fans wanting to watch. If we just wanted to watch the boring 2's, we could watch any team in the WNBA. Why do you think people like Steph Curry? He is different. Why do we like to watch Caitlin? She is different. And sides wants to change that.
