I'm doing this strategy already. However, to insure no possible legal problems with Mexican Naturalization, naturalize first to Portugal, then Mexico? Why you ask? According to Mexican law, Naturalized Mexicans who later naturalize with another country are subject to losing their naturalized Mexican Citizenship. Also, naturalized Mexicans must return to the country once every 5 years to maintain citizenship with Mexico. No maintenance required for Portuguese Citizenship.

With the Mexican temporary residency, it needs to be renewed in YR1. When is a good time to renew it (two weeks before expiry/ a month before expiry)?

I think for the average person US citizenship is MUCH more beneficial for the end user compared to Mexican. The USA is still the land of opportunity at earning big amounts of money compared to Mexico. I do agree that the passport by itself is less restricting in Mexico, but for over 95% of people the accessibility to making it big in the US is so much bigger and easier.

@@Chap17 It doesn't change the fact your chance at making it big in America vs Mexico is astronomically easier in America. Even against Europe, Canada, Australia. It's all perspective. As I first said. Yes Mexico passport is strong, no doubt if that's all you want to use it for. But the American citizenship is much more valuable than just being taxed world wide. It opens the door to having the possibility at making ridiculous money if you have the know how and brains.

I agree, else Elon Musk and or even DJT wouldn’t have started, they would have ran away first, believe me they are smart people.
USC by far is the best in the world, despite the major CBT con. It’s a small price you pay.
I do agree that US is not for everyone.

In deciding between Mexican citizenship & Portuguese citizenship, there's also the matter of the language test; would you rather study for a Spanish test or a Portuguese test? Also, my understanding is that the level of skill that's required to pass the Portuguese language test is much lower than that required for the Spanish test (that is administered by the Mexican government).

    Okay I have to ask
How is Mexico access better than Portugal??
Mexico just lost access to Canada too
    Just trying to understand
Portugal has almost all the first world countries and Mexico has EU ( if we categorized it as a country)

Visa free means nothing, Mexico is a full APEC member (unlike US, Portugal, etc) and Mexicans can get business access under apec to the 19 full member countries that have heavy weights like Australia, NZ, South Korea, Japan, etc,
Check my prior videos on this,

      My brother
So you’re telling me that visa free means nothing??😮
People die looking for the opportunity to get visa free access. You may be lucky you have Canadian citizenship but your compatriots in Asia are not and wait years literally to get a visa to get to where you are. So visa free does mean something. Let me put it this way, would you give up your Canadian citizenship for a Mexican one?
      I’ll wait on the answer
I’m not Portuguese or pro Europe at all but I love your videos but this one threw me for a loop brother.

It depends on the state you are applying from. For example, some Mexican consults well required $2200 to be always in your account when they check at six month period bank statement. They don’t care if you’re receiving 2000 or not they care that every ending balance is equal to the 2200.

I dont know how you go about processing Mexican residency. Especially now with our new president, all laws and the entire judicial system has been reformed and immigration laws have tightened, precisely because we do not want an invasion of foreigners, but whatever you are doing does not jive with the way things work in our system. Mexican citizenship is not for sale. MEXICO FOR MEXICANS! The USA and Canada are in downfall, now their people are flocking down to Mexico by the thousands. For those who say that the USA and Canada are better, they have no geopolitical knowledge. This is precisely why we are sealing the country.
