Just got mine yesterday. I love it. I haven't tried the original and I don't think I need to since I wouldn't spend niche price for that scent profile. Asad is perfect at doing what it's supposed to do (old schoolish, masculine, elegant yet not pretentious).
It’s almost 1 to 1. I’ve smelled both and the only real differences are that the original has a slight fresh zest that this does not have and this lasts longer!

Yes yes another great video review Ross. Another grand slam from Lataffa. I was very impressed by this fragrance. The only thing I have from them is the supremacy in Heaven which is a silver mountain water clone and I guess I just don’t care for that scent profile. Eternal Oud is on the way I’ve heard that’s a banger will let you know.

Your opinion though, how close or similar to 1 Million Elixer is this as well? I am getting same "wheel house" vibes!! Would be curious on your take...side note--that gold "bracelet" actually comes off of the bottle--if you prefer your bottle to have a plainer or a more simple look! I like both and they are different enough to have both. Asad is a lighter and more suitable for Spring, Fall and Winter. The Elixir is strictly colder weather due to it being beast mode.. the strongest scent I ever smelled! If two dudes was next to each other, one wearing Asad and the other Elixir. It's clear Elixir is the Alpha.
Mine came just in time for the holidays! This smells like sweet pine needles to me. Perfect for XMAS 🎄

As always, great breakdown, Ross!! I too have both of them and Asad is one fantastic clone of DS Elixir. Personally, I like to wear Asad during the day and the Elixir in the evening because I find the Elixir to be much more "heavier" juice and absolute nuclear on my skin. All I need is 2 or 3 sprays max on my skin and it just performs on a whole different level.

I own both, recieved both recently I find myself reaching for Asad more, definitely getting back up bottle. Lataffa on they 💩 as of late. Glad to have it in my 150 bottle collection

My experience with the Lattafa brand is very mixed. A couple of excellent frags and a couple of real shockers.
I can’t wait to order this one next! Just got ameer Al oudh intense and man I love it!. Cozy warm sweetness almost like burnt sugar with a bit of woodiness. Also get a bit of smoke but not overpowering it’s a beast. I put 4 sprays on and I’m almost choking my brother out. But he said it smells amazing!
Does it smell very iraqi or too arab? I got maahir black edit9on and at first it smelled amazing but quickly turned into a cheap smelling oud fragrance that you'd smell at an arabian rep shop

I love ASAD. The pepper spice is straight fire.
Today I layered ASAD and Armaf Untold, it is pretty darn good combo. The pepper definitely stands out over the sweetness, but it creates a very nice scent.
Was on the fence about spending 120 on DSE so after watching this video i blind bought Asad for $ cant beat that price if youre saying you prefer over the og...i trust your nose to that extent. Apprecitae it!
Got my bottle yesterday, late to the party but must say Im loving it! My first sprays were kinda smoky it gave me ameer al oudh vibes. I learned to spray about 10 times in the air with a new bottle then I picked up the sweetness

Smelled elixir at my local Ulta didn’t like the opening but the dry down is amazing, and I got a gift card for Amazon in Christmas so I decided to order Asad excited to add it to the collection

I love Dior sauvage legit but think I might have found a replacement
I have had it for a couple months now. My wife absolutely hates it, but I love how creamy it is. So, I take a decant with me to enjoy the scent. It really is such a good fragrance, but if the spouse doesn't feel the same, kind of hard to enjoy it as much as I would if she enjoyed it as well.
Same. She can spot that middle eastern smell in a milli second.

I have that problem with L’Eau D’Issey Pour Homme. What I do is take it to work and wear it there, or during work-related travel lol. Could also wear it when going out with friends.

I made a review on this on my channel and I feel the same as your wife! It’s cheap, loud and abrasive. But performs well. In fact it’s also my wife’s least favorite from my collection.
I have given up buying Arabic Dupe perfume, longevity is only a moment. The opening is similar after that it has begun to be different and so on. I have both, it's much different after comparing to use for many times. Honestly, I was always dizzy when using Asad, where it didn't happen when spraying Elixir. There's price, there's quality.

You mention something that NONE of these reviewers (as good as they are at what they do) are mentioning: the possible negative effects of spraying fragrance. Why this comment from me? Because yesterday I sprayed Lattafa Sheik Shuyuke Final Edition, six quick sprays on my sweater - trying not to breathe in as I did - and a few minutes later getting a weird tingling/taste on my tongue, that lasted a while… that sort of thing does not happen often with other fragrances, if at all, but it does with that particular Lattafa fragrance. And I wonder why. Can’t be a good thing. Sure not going to spray it on my skin, that’s for sure.
This fragrance is awesome!!! Presentation and bottle looks like a more expensive. Smells fantastic I have the Savuage EDP so i wanted something a litte different. Came across this as a blind buy!!!

To me Asad is great value for money fab fragrance. However to my nose Asad falls down after a couple of hours. SE keeps Improving. I would overall give Asad 7.5 out of 10 where Sauvage Elixir is a 10 out of 10.
Asad wins hands down on value for money though.
@@passingby3060 Fair comment. I can’t afford the OG fragrance on every occasion own a fair few clones. I do own both SE and Asad. If it’s a Scent profile you enjoy more than most worth saving up for the OG. SE makes you feel like a king, Asad like a prince.
@@passingby3060 I would go with 2-3 sprays of SE. Easily enough. The other bonus is it keeps developing. From what you have disclosed you will really enjoy owning SE.
Asad still has its place though for sure.

Mine is coming in tmrw, i thought sauvage elixir was just a variation of sauvage edt. Apparently it's nothing like it so I ordered the asad.
Just a few days ago found out about Lataffa and Maison Alhambra so I've been ordering hella fragrances.
I also ordered the Lattafa Que Al Fursnar or whatever it's called, everyone said it's a must buy so that's coming in tmrw. I did get Khamra in and Maisons Yeah YSL y edp clone which is nice.
Can't wait til cooler weather to bust out Khamra

I heard a lot about this but I was unfortunately disappointed by this. On my channel I gave it a 4/10 because it was so abrasive and sharp. Also the girls didn’t like it at all.

I bought a bottle of Elixir. I don’t consider it a “performance beast”, at least not on my skin. Reformulated? My Sauvage is more potent.
That being said, I like the fragrance a lot.
I would buy Asad, but opinions vary about how close it gets to Elixir.
Lattafa “Now” is very potent. I own that. It has loads of pineapple.Maybe the Asad is like that.
Elixir lasted more than 12 hours when I tried.. even after shower it was there
My sauvage EDT is new and last 8 hours.. maybe 10 as skin scent after
