    Yesss I’m so happy for you!!❤️❤️ I’m Fulani & Yoruba on my mother’s side 🇳🇬.i luv African ancestry & the group because they give you so much more insight on how DNA works etc.the difference between AA and the other tests like Ancestry,23& me ,MyHeritage etc is because those are autosomal tests so they test your whole DNA makeup from mother & father & they have less samples to compare with.
    AA is the most accurate because they have 33,000 lineages to compare from vs 200-1,300 ..is as African Americans were mixed with so many different ethnic groups & that’s what I looove about is ❤️❤️❤️ Congrats🎉🎉🎉

I’ve done the PatriClan test and currently awaiting results from them and I have a good idea it’ll be Angola 🇦🇴 since I have the E-M4451 haplogroup and I share close genetics with the Kongo and Ambundu people who are living there today based on the ancestry report from 23andMe.

I’m now currently waiting on my results from LivingDNA and MyHeritage DNA test kits. 23andMe has me at 87% west African: 30% Liberian, 28% Nigerian, 20% Sierra Leonian.
    I took my 23andMe raw DNA data and uploaded it to LivingDNA and they have me at 92% west African @ 52% Nigerian. That’s why I ordered the test kit from them.

In your case, your mitochondria dna. Still extremely valuable knowledge. But it’s a single ancestor, on a single branch.

    How does that work then? Two tests have told you you're mainly Nigerian (one specific saying you are Igbo). Then the African DNA says you are Sierria leonian. I Notice that 95% of the time the African DNA comes up as sierra leonian or cameroon for Americans. Unfortunately I am not convinced with the African Ancestry test. I have ore confidence in the other two. One of which I took and linked up with my second cousin. Then again it could be the difference between the maternal and the paternal lineage

    • @sincerelyvali
      @sincerelyvali  8 місяців тому +2

      Hey there! I can see how these DNA test can be quite confusing sometimes. According to some of the feedback I’ve gotten on this video, the company AA matches you with the origin of your maternal lineage (Dating back 2000 years). So although Nigeria makes up the highest percentage of my genetics, the origin of my mom’s family started in Sierra Leone. I assume the “Igbo” ancestry on my 23 & Me test could’ve been ancesty from my dad’s side that popped up (but I’m not 100% sure). But this is how I understand it so far. Thanks for watching & for leaving feedback! 😊

    What you call tribe is actually ethnicities
    This is how it goes in Africa
    Africa= continent
    Ethnicity , ( because it can be found in more than one country)
    Country
    Tribes
    Clan
    Village
    Kindred
    Immediate family

    • @k-dwanks2481

      @@candyxox more like your ethnicity, you can't pin point your tribe through DNA
      DNA showcases all our heritage/ ethnicity but it can't pinpoint one's tribe , or clan , village or immediate family
      It only gives us a broad view of our admixtures
      What they call tribe to you , is actually ethnicity
      For example, I am of the Igbo ethnicity ( but a lot of people mistake it for a tribe )
      In Igbo ethnicity, each tribes in it has a different dialect
      For example just like English, the way the Americans, Australian, Jamaican etc speak it is different
      But we still understand it , as Igbo people
      That's what tribes in each ethnicities is
      And there are minor traditional differences
      For example in Igbo again, if a man impregnate a woman from an Igbo certain tribe , wether the man is from the same village or not
      As long as she has taken in before marriage, the child belongs to the ladies family and bears her surname, even if they end up marrying .
      While general when an Igbo lady gives birth out of wedlock the child belongs to her family and if they get married the child belongs to her husband
      And if they're not married, and the man wants the children as his
      There are traditional rites he has to fulfill before the kids are his
