- This tutorial details how to navigate around the Microsoft Office 2016 suite. It can be difficult to know what all of the buttons mean in MS Office, but when you know where and how the buttons are organized, it can be a lot easier to figure out where they're located. This tutorial is for beginners who'd like to learn more about MS Office 365 and how to use programs like Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. I hope that you find it helpful, write a comment if you have any questions.

Instructor A Morgan
Dear Adam Morgan, you are a great instructor. I have watched your complete tutorials of MS Word and will watch your upcoming tutorials. I really enjoyed a lot and learnt many new things. Thank you so much for all of that.
Hi Zakir,
Thank you so much for letting me know that. It's always good to see a comment like this one. I'm glad you've found the videos helpful and I hope that you'll continue to learn more and more. Best of luck on your Word 2016 MOS Exam, and let me know if you have any questions about the exam. Have a great day and thanks again!
I am preparing for MOS certification and subscribed to your channel. You are an excellent instructor! Your videos are very thorough, clear and easy to understand and follow along. I plan to watch the entire playlist. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and time.
Good day Professor! Thank you for this video. This helps me a lot for our lesson today. Because apparently the printed lesson that my teacher sent us was blur so I can't understand a thing bout the questions. So that's why I'm soo thankful to you that you made this video.🥰
Good intro. In your introductory description of the ribbon there is one more button that should be explicitly identified. That is the "Dialog launcher" button. It is such a tiny image people can mistake it for dust on the screen.
Hi. Thanks you are helping a lot with my high school studies. This is much faster than my lessons :D
I'm glad this is helping you out, KoDan. Thank you for watching and best of luck with high school!
This is great teachs thank you for your help please continue with your good job ❤🎉😂
This really helps me
..that's why I'm now gonna subscribe.
Hey I'm glad this helped you out Zenora. Thanks for watching and for subscribing, that really helps out my channel!
Hi Adam! Very nice video! just a quick question, I was wondering if there is a search box to search for ribbon commands just like you can in office 365 online. Thank you!
Hi Miketdog,
Yeah, you can completely customize the Ribbon tabs, Commands, and Groups in Office. I made a video on how to do that, here it is. Thank you for watching:

Awesome Adam. You're a great teacher. May I ask you a question regarding my everchanging ribbon? Seriously, the Paragraph Group - which used to expand the way I liked it, with all the different buttons, has now been reduced to a tiny spot on my ribbon that just says "Paragraph" ...where did the rest go? And how do I get it back? Thanks!
Hi Hallie,
You can individually customize those buttons on to the Paragraph group by adding them in your Ribbon. I made a video on how to do this. If not, you'll have to hit the tiny Paragraph dialog box launcher button in the corner like you have been. Here is the video I made on customizing the ribbon:

Absolutely brilliant video. Thankyou.
Thank you, Professor
the video are helping me to learn how to use excel
I'm glad to hear that Gary, best of luck learning Excel!
i am learning a lot, but I am just so intrigued with the nail polish rack
Hey Deante, glad to know you're learning. As for the nail polish, that would be the wife's. We share the room, my half is the office, her half is the vanity.
@@ProfessorAdamMorgan Does she have videos? She looks like she would know a lot about make up and nail polish. :)
Thank you🙏💕🙏💕🙏💕🙏💕
Wow...you are great at all this computer stuff. I am a senior citizen 57. I know as you age things become more difficult, due to you slowing down. I need senor computer classes in a slower pace and LARGE DISPLAY. Do you think it would be possible for you do have specialized classes for us Slower students ? Thank you for your professional ism and assistance.
Hi Lori,
Thank you. For a large display, I'd recommend using a TV. I use a TV as my monitor and it works great. As for my videos, you can actually slow them down and used closed captioning by clicking the gear button (settings) in the bottom-right corner of my video. I hope this helps, and if you have any questions please let me know.
click the 3 dots.
click open transcript.
use down arrow to scroll down.
use up arrow to scroll back up.
Is there a video for setting up a ribbon the same way yours is displayed? If not, I think It would be helpful to have a video (maybe link to the video at the beginning of this video) that helps the viewer create a ribbon layout the same as yours. For example, my groups do not show up at the bottom of the ribbon. Thanks.
Good day sir, I would like to ask if file is part of the Tabs?
It was real very good
I'm glad to hear that Irina, thank you for watching.
Do you give test for your students in the playlist?
Hi Irma,
No, not on UA-cam. I have all of my tests in my classes. Thanks for watching!
Until recently, the "Save" icon was placed on the top left side of the ribbon. It was convenient because of its large size. How do I place it back on that site? Thank you.
Hi Adam I am an IT Teacher and under the circumstances (COVID 19), I am suddenly delivering classes online. Can I have your permission to send the link of some of your UA-cam videos to my students. I don't want to breach copyright laws.
Hi Catherine,
Absolutely, you can share my UA-cam videos. I hope your students find them useful!
@@ProfessorAdamMorgan I think they are wonderful and you explain everything very clearly. You are very informative. Thank you
I'm happy to hear that, thank you so much!
How do I make the ribbon larger? My font is very tiny
Hi Judy,
The text in the ribbon cannot be increased in size. You could try increase the size of all text, apps, and other items on your computer. If you right-click on your desktop and click Display Settings, you can then change the size of text by increments of 25%. Here is a web page explaining how to do this:

Does windows 10 come with word and excel by default? I'm thinking to reset the system since I deleted the files needed to run them. Will resetting Windows 10 restore Word and Excel?
Hi FriedFrudda,
It does not come with Office. You have to purchase Office in order to use it. I hope this helps.
Hi, I recently deleted most of the files for my desktop's hardrive to help free up as much space as I can and just last night when I tried opening my word documents, it wouldn't let me open, I tried reinstalling word 2016 but it said there was a file missing. Please tell me the possible solutions. Also, there were 12 screenshots I took of the said problem. If you don't mind seeing the screenshots, please tell me how can I send them over.
Hi FriedFrudda,
My guess is that you accidentally deleted some run files for Word/Office. My recommendation is to uninstall Office, then reinstall it. This will install all of the files needed for the program to run properly. I hope this helps!
@@ProfessorAdamMorgan Everything is ok now but thank you for your input since my computer was reverted to a previous version from this past March.
Professor Morgan, if I have OneDrive but Access is not included nor do I have it on my computer, how do I get it on OneDrive?
Hi Andrea,
So OneDrive has a Web App version of several Office applications, however it does not have Access. Check out the link on our course page to the Office 365 download. When you download that on your computer (Windows 10) you will see it. If you have a Mac then you cannot download Access, sorry.
where location are all icon off menu? i want to find it to used for test multichoi!
I have no "Icons" Menu on my Illustrator group.. how to get it?
Hi Wildan,
That is a new feature for Word 2019 or Office 365. If you're using an older version of Office, you won't see it. I hope this clears it up, thanks for watching.
I am trying to make a proposal in Excel using add, subtract, multiply and divide.
Hi Shelia,
Sure, I have multiple Excel videos in my playlist that can help you. Here is a video that covers most of what you're looking for:
