As he navigates the foggy landscape, he stumbles upon the legendary "Blade of Evil's Bane" - the Master Sword. But as he approaches, he's greeted by an unexpected sight: a towering, sentient tree known as the Great Deku Tree.
The wise old tree reveals to Link that 1000 years ago, Princess Zelda had foreseen his return and entrusted the sword to the Great Deku Tree, to be reclaimed by the hero when he awakened and proved himself worthy to wield its power."
