I can't believe it's been so long since I posted a video?? I'm ashamed honestly and got no excuse other than I just haven't finished any of the projects I'm currently working on. But I just recently binged season 1 of Bridgerton and instantly fell in love with these two and once season 2 came out, I knew I needed to vid them!
Yes, i've used this song before, but I think it fits them so well. And also, this video was meant to be just angst, but I changed the ending so it's a little more hopeful? Colin's just an oblivious idiot who doesn't realize he's in love with Penelope yet, because friends don't look at each other the way that Colin looks at Pen.

He said she’s important to him and he would always protect her. Then 10 minutes later he, unknowingly, breaks her heart. He needs to work for her forgiveness and love. I hope season three, he does just that and season 4 is their season.

@@rkleine74 I like that but if they follow the books. It unfortunate won’t happen In the book he said it in front of his brothers and not a group of friends. He also knew she heard him.
i liked that in the books he sees she was listening and tries to apologize but she cuts him off with "what made you think i wanted you to court me anyways?" of course it was just her trying to hide her feelings but it felt satisfying lol
I know it's not following the book series per say, but in Colin's book, he doesn't realize how he feels about Penelope until he kisses her (at her request)
I really hope they show us that scene. In the books he knows she overheard him saying he'd never court/marry her but in the show he had no idea she heard him say that. Hard for him to apologize for something he didn't realize he did wrong.
Either way, their story is my favorite and I hope Bridgerton does it justice

This was beautiful! We got so much more of these two in s2 and I can't wait for even more to come! It almost felt like their story could be next season....who knows?
Could be =) Shonda siad they will not go in order of the books so =). But...i wonder if they will do a mix of Benedict and Colin story in season 3 because normaly, Penelope is 28 and Colin 33 when it's their story and Benedict is already married too.

they are setting stuff up where like s3 it will be benedict and then maybe Eloise at the same time, or eloise get her own season, none the less Colin is gonna get jealous and realize he does have feelings for her, or he realizes and finally makes a move.

That what would she say if she knew she's the first on your mind with the first ray of sunshine to kiss the earth, and the only one for the reason of your angst, when the moonlight withers away in your dreams where you imagine dancing with her, one set, one waltz, one quadrille, just one more dance, so you shall claim her, that your interest is fixed on her, and that you breathe to lay by her side, to talk about stars and journeys with her, gaze at her with affection, to smile at her loyalty, her sweet dreams, to touch her in person, not merely caressing her, for that shall naturally come to you, when you're with her, but finding yourself wanting with intense desire to bury yourself deep inside her, to make her cry in ecstacy, to make her yours.
To desire a life with her. Her essence shall make you feel so alive to the point of never wanting to go to sleep again. Having just one person by your side who believes in you is precious, you've learned that seeing your brothers and sister happy with the spouses and love they've found in them. And you'd wish never to be parted witn her again. Penelope. Your Friend. The road to your every desire. The road to your redemption.
Her name and love shall always come in the first breath the moment you shall see her across the ballroom.
And that only means one thing. Can only mean one thing you want from her.
Marriage.
But how you shall ever convince her to marry him. How ever you'll make yourself deserving enough to make her want you.
How truly you regret ever making her feel so small and unwanted for declaring among your friends that you'll never court her, never want her.
You'd think you'd need another life to beg her to be with him. That she doesn't want anything to do with you. That a friendship is all she shall ever desire from your heart.
What you don't realize that in her eyes, those same orbs that held affection and admiration for you long before you even cared to realize your sister's friend can be your friend too, that, in her heart, she has already made you the most deserving one, though in the brink of a devastating heartbreak, she may have been taken many steps back to ever allow herself to be hurt again, hope again, dream again, a future with you, but she knows she'll never have someone else, unless it was not you. She knows no one will want her, a wallflower and spinster that she is, but she still does not want to settle for anything less.
She's dear Penelope Featherington, Colin. That she's a friend and now your love too, make her believe you deserve her.
She can be yours, if only you'll have a courage for the both of you, if only you'll ever hold her hand with even half the passion that you felt for for months not being with her.

Wow! You should write novels! I do think that Colin will wake one morning and realize that his every thought comes back to Penelope! Then, he will kick himself in the arse because of his careless words. Finally, he will do everything in his power to convince Penelope that he loves her, Wants her, NEEDS her! As for Penelope, I believe she will guard her heart so much that even with Colin giving everything he can to prove his love, it will seem like it is not enough. But, Penelope will finally take a small step toward him. The distance may be tiny, but the emotional miles covered will be vast!
Again, I think you would make a great author! I loved everything about this post. You really hit the tone that the books have.
@@suegeorge8694 thank you very much. Indeed I'm a contemporary writer, not historical. But I'm a self made one, not famous lol. I'm a big shipper of Polin, and I've only ever written the words that would help me release me from the torment of waiting a whole year for their season.

I am re-reading "Romancing Mister Bridgerton". That's how I'm getting my "Polin" fix. The show is already deviating from the books in some major ways. So while the end game of the books and show hopefully will be the same, I believe that the show will be able to make the "Polin" journey feel new.
@@suegeorge8694 Aw, thanks! Since I've already read the book, the first book I ever read of Bridgerton because of being defeated by curiousity. I must say I love the carriage scene, but really, Colin became such a different person in the book suddenly. I had to cope up with his changing moods. I can only wonder howsoever Penelope does that.

I agree 100% about the proposal! Penelope deserves so much more than Colin's flippant tone. I loved the scene of him asking her mother for her hand, but I was a bit disappointed that the book didn't go into ANY detail about the reaction of his family! Hopefully the show will delve into that.
