In our THAW series, rain and light intertwine in a raw portrayal of climate change. Raindrops, simple and forceful, fall at a steady pace, silent witnesses to the alteration of the environment.
Light, refracted through the drops, breaks the spectrum into irregular fragments that outline the skeletons of structures, distorting reality with their fragmented reflection. These reflections on the skeletons of structures become a visual echo of the transformation we face, a wordless narrative of the changes unfolding around us.
In this space of reflection, we bear witness to the dialectic between the ephemeral and the eternal, between the impermanence of our surroundings and the permanence of the human essence. Rain and light act as revealing agents, stripping reality of its veils to expose its true changing and evolving nature.
In their interaction with light and rain, these remnants of human architecture become a metaphor for the fragility and transience of our creations in the face of nature's onslaughts.
