This was one of those nostalgic videos where you can only remember the tune of a song in it then you find it and it's a huge sigh of relief. Good times :')
Right?! Came out a year after I was born. I watched this as a little kid 😭 just played the songs for my daughter for the first time and she’s gonna watch it with me later :’)
Grd 2-3 in music, when my teacher didn’t have an idea these days she would put on this Peter and the wolf and the instrumental one aswell. The wolf scared the crap outta me back then
As much as I like wolves, the wolf actually was as creepy as Gmork from The Neverending Story. Especially when it moved in on the cave and it showed his glowing red eyes and then he comes out of the cave, I immediately had a flashback of Gmork.
I remember the music, the house, the green plains with the forest and the snowy mountain. As a kid who used to watch this on VHS, I've always wanted to live where Peter was because the setting seems so magical. I even wanted Peter's uniform. That's something that's imprinted in my memory since 95 and I'm now 33. The weirdest thing is that I only just remembered the name of the movie today. This is nostalgia gold!
OMG! I’m 15 and a freshman in high school and I remember my music teacher would play this! That wolf gave me ptsd in this one and the disney one, I love the music but bro gave me chills and I would get scared as a child😭 I still get them now🤣 but such nostalgia from this🥹 btw am I the only one who thinks that duck is high asf😂
It’s midnight, I just woke up having remembered this from when I was maybe 7-8, I’m 20 now, the wolf had me so scared, I miss being able to watch this and experience nothing but that story
15:19-15:21 Is it me or does the wolf look sooo fucking funny when he’s sooo fricken derpy after getting dizzy from trying to chase that bird. He’s like “herpy-derp!” 😜😜
Grandparents house on the weekends, grandpa is making grilled cheese and the have a box of VHS for when we come over to watch, we got the water babies, peter and the wolf and Charlie and the choclate factory!
Peter loved 🥰 to go 🚦 into the forest 🌳 in the spring 🌸. he 👦 loved 🥰 to go into the forest 🌳 in the summer ☀️, he 👦 loved 🥰 to go 🚦 into the forest 🌳 in the fall 🍂 too, but in winter ❄️, Peter cannot go 🚦 into the forest 🌳.
Yes, this is the rendition I prefer, where the duck gets redeemed towards the end. In other versions, we see or hear her from inside the wolf's stomach at the end(during the parade)"he had swallowed her ALIVE!" the narrator sinisterly says then! When I was little I used to have a record with various children's stories, including this(the rendition on the record we had was in fact this one, where the duck is saved, only it was a little different, while the wolf was trying fruitlessly to get his tail out of the noose of the rope(the narrator said,"In fact, the rope was so tight, the wolf CRIED OUT in pain! And while his mouth was open, Quacky the duck jumped out and was free ONCE AGAIN!" The other rendition stinks, where the duck stays trapped inside the wolf, after he had "swallowed her ALIVE!"(her quacking faintly heard from inside.)
There was a PC game that existed in the 1990s. I recall the story being narrated by Tony Randall, and the game also featured a few musical activities and clickable scenes. One other unique feature is that the CD also contained a music soundtrack that could be played in CD players. I still have my CD copy after so many years.
Me and my friends were in the fifth grade when we watched this and the part when he grabs the rope and hangs it on the tree we thought that he was going to hang himself 😓
Bro what?! they gave me releif that they were there to waffle stomp that bitch ass wolf, the wolf and his ost have ingrained a little ptsd in me, it reminds me of the never ending strory wolf aswell
I’m 30 and that wolf gave me PTSD. I associate this amazing music to it and I still get the chills.

This was one of those nostalgic videos where you can only remember the tune of a song in it then you find it and it's a huge sigh of relief. Good times :')
Last time I watched this was probably in preschool and I’m 26 now but can still whistle the tune.

Grandfather: What if you hadn’t caught the wolf. What if the wolf caught you instead?

I had a narrated version of Peter and the wolf on vinyl. ...45 years ago.
This was the first time I heard classical music

The sounds for the cat are archival recordings of June Foray and Clarence Nash.

The wolf gets what he deserves. Like grandpa who Peter lived with as an orphan just said: the wolf is serious business.
so much nostalgia. My mom let me watch it when i was like 5. Its very popular in Bulgarian culture
Thanks for the nostalgia!
Took me 30 yrs to know the music was by Tchaikovsky himself. RIP, Jones, winters and Blanc.
(Grandfather: "Young man, if I've told you once, I've told you a million times, this meadow is A DANGEROUS PLACE!") 6:59

Idk why this scared the ever living shit out of me in grade school lol it's just so weird
I watched this in music class on Wednesday and today (Friday)
I remember I used to watch this a lot at my elementary school because I recognize the title name and the music
Peter's grandfather 👴 says 🤔, it's not safe 🪧 to play in the forest 🌳 or in the meadow, but you can play in the garden 🪴 around the cottage.

RIP Kirstie Alley (1951-2022).😓
I’m watching this for homework
the duck quacking is cute
Stop bothering me you wolf my tooth is gonna fell out"
I hear a lower narration in this.
The music is very good
wasn’t there also some sort of PC game that went with this or am i losing my mind

My cousin plays the clarinet. She never learned the notes for the cat in this movie.

Unicornshipgurl 09 oMG I WATCHED IT TODAY AND IM IN 5TH TOO :D
In the wolf is Gary Peters in the water scary so much space we haven't had
I remember like first or second grade as a school feild trip we got to see a live play of this
Our version had a live-action story bookending the animation.
So much better than Disney’s adaptation.
Man this was my favorite movie but the wolf alawys freaked me out
This version totally defeats the purpose of the masterpiece: to teach the kids about the music instruments in the orchestra.
How can the baby birds fly right when there born?
I love this story I saw it in music! Today
am i going crazy or was there a part of this that had real people in it narrating, in a house full of coockoo clocks?!?!??!??!?!?!
Wesley Cottrill
That’s exactly what I was attempting to find out by watching this
Wesley Cottrill
I had a vhs I used to watch of this movie adaptation, and there were real people on it.
24:24-53 Nice to see they let the duck live like in the Disney version. In the original story the duck gets eaten! :O
Hm I’m curious, why did you dub over the original narration?
The duck was my favorite lol
Me too. He was my most favorite character of the movie out of them all because I like ducks.
Call that high Stonewall it's short XD p.s Love it ......
EEEEEE
i like this movie its fun
Why is there another, barely audible, woman narrator speaking in the background?
The woman is the actual narrator from this version.
Mega fantastic job guys!!
Whoelse looked for this forever?
The gunshots used to scare me shitless
Bro what?! they gave me releif that they were there to waffle stomp that bitch ass wolf, the wolf and his ost have ingrained a little ptsd in me, it reminds me of the never ending strory wolf aswell
