I wish you listened to the other version cause it has O.K. Featuring Tyler The Creator which is one of his best.
O.K. Has some Mac’s best flow, energy and pure delivery. With Tyler having a chant worthy of a hook and verse that is funny yet awesome.

Mac was really close with TDE especially Q. Also one of my favorite things about Mac, he was so well rounded and produced so many different styles. He even released things under different names and would do work with people so he could do it for free. Like on SZA’s first album he produced “UR”. He did so much for so many people just outta Love. RIP a Legend.
Ab Soul as well. His album was recorded during Mac's house during Faces. It's the reason he said never be a Black Hippy album because Mac was apart of their crew and would have featured contributed. I think Hip Hop DX mentioned it.

This album dropped the same day as Yeezuz and J. Cole’s born sinner and I always felt like it got overshadowed because it was such a big summer for hip hop albums. Such a beautifully introspective and thoughtful album

Always excited to see someone get introduced to Mac. The growth from 2011 to 2018 is unreal. Such a shame we didn't get to see where he would've gone from there.
He has a jazz album under the name Larry Lovestein and an alter ego rap album under the name Delusional Thomas.
Highly recommend You(album) by Larry Lovestein as an extra credit after finishing the albums.
Touching on what you said about this album having a different vibe than the last two that you listened to. I think Mac's music always reflected and mirrored exactly how he felt/experienced life at the time he made it. He was a very transparent and honest (to an extent) individual. So as you progress through the rest of the albums, you're going to keep saying things like, "damn, this is really different from the last album". You'll see his growth and development as a man and as a musician. He really comes more and more out of his shell up until the last album, where he's fully bloomed like a flower. Can't wait for the next one!

Being able to watch his evolution in real time being just a few years younger than Mac was one of them things you had to be there for in real time. It was amazing.

I Am Who I Am might be one of the most bar-dense songs ever written.
REMember is the saddest song ever written.
Ascension from GO:OD AM is one of the greatest songs ever written and Perfect Circle/Godspeed is the realest, most self-aware song ever written.
A true genius.
The music video for SDS elevates the sound. Flying Lotus is known for glitchy video game electronica, but also diverse jazz and funk. He produced Weasley's Theory on to pimp a Butterfly.
Her love for sounds gonna get her into production look out for Story Mode Beats 😂 love that you're enjoying the journey

I think coming up to this album he and Q released "Melt" and "Plane Car Boat". But also soooooo much of Mac's musical construct is either in his leaked stuff but also all his side projects and SoundCloud releases. When its time for GO:OD AM you should check out "Just some raps, nothing to see here, move along" which was Mac's "statement" in form of a track when he signed his Major Deal which was a big thing because Mac was well known for making it independently. Another great reaction! I’d recommend listening to all the deluxe versions, deff go back and check up kids if you want a more upbeat project, it’s easily his “happiest” album, may want to listen to that if you want to bring your energy back up because faces gets pretty heavy

After you've listened to this album a bunch, you should definitely check out his live album called Live From Space that he recorded on the tour for Watching Movies.
It's criminally slept on, but the live versions are so good- he got The Internet on his tour so hearing everything with a band brings so much energy.
Oh and there's a few bonus songs at the end, and the song Earth has one the best verses I've ever heard from Future!
