What’s crazy about the eye change is: vampire chan has the white left eye, but the “hunter” chans eyes are brown/dark before he attacks his demon-self. Once he defeats the vampire, his right eye changes and turns white-which basically symbolizes him reclaiming his darker self, reigning it back in (aka: his constant need for control) until the next time his obsessions take over. The vampire is a physical representation and metaphor for his drive, passion, and obsessive compulsive tendencies-especially with how toxic they can manifest for himself and for those around him. It’s a vicious cycle that will always repeat itself within him; he’s always battling with himself. Also, the video is filmed in a prison setting because he’s literally inside his own mind-we’re seeing inside his mind-prison. Wild. So hot of him and so psychologically interpretive my GOD.
@chrissyy89 This is the best interpretation I've read and I absolutely agree. Chan baring his soul with a deeper glimpse into himself for us. It's brilliant like our BangChan.
I read somewhere that his live performance and the music video is one big loop. When he falls at the end of the live performance is where he wakes up in the mv. At the end of the mv he is walking away with the chair is where his live performance starts. It’s kind of genius in my opinion. I absolutely loved the mv.
It's about a toxic relationship with himself. Chan, like many other idols, feel they have to perfect. He had been held "prisoner" for so many years as a trainee. He feels he had no control. He's a perfectionist and fighting with insomnia. He's always on the edge of a burnout, but he has to push through for his fans, his members, the industry. He's tired, but as the lyrics say "this train never sleeps". This MV flows right into his live stage performance where the cycle is never ending. He falls off the stage just to have it all start again. He is saying "don't you care about the casualities". It's an inner struggle for 'good" Chan to be perfect. Now the prison is his mind.
@@LeebitsEars00 I agree. Everyone made this song sexual when it first came out but after the mv it seemed like it was a different message about a struggle with himself and/or being a star. I feel like it’s always hard to read him on all the other variety stuff that the stray kids do because it feels like he’s holding himself back or hyper aware of how he is being perceived.
That’s a cool interpretation! This is the kind of stuff that makes me love Roscoe’s comment section-everyone’s full of inspiration after watching stuff like this with the rest of the Couch Crew.
Fun fact: original Dracula in novel can tolerate the sun. He just has to go back to sleep in the dirt of his own grave to heal. So in theory this is more authentic dracula. 😂 Nosferatu popularized the idea that the sun kills vampires.
The girl in the chat - Andrea - saying in the chat that 3Racha wrote the lyrics, she's wrong. Bang Chan solely wrote it, but (3Racha) is with his name because he's part of that writing unit. His name credit is in korean
There is nothing hotter than a man who has integrated his Shadow Self lol. I love the layered metaphor of the blood. He craves it until to the point where he loses himself and is willing to destroy others. He force feeds it to others as a way to enslave others and bend them to his will. It trails after him, leaving a trail of violence but also becoming his own personal red carpet. To me, the darkness in this song symbolizes obsession as in Red Lights, but the blood symbolizes fame. As a trainee, fame is what drove his obsession and focused it on the specific goal of becoming an idol. Once he debuted, his own fame became a potential weapon he could leverage in the industry to get himself further ahead. But, every accolade and opportunity he achieved by ruthlessly pursuing and leveraging fame would forever be tainted by the victims he left in his wake. Essentially, this is the dark path Christopher might have headed down if he did not have Stray Kids to fight for and protect. This is Lone Wolf Chan, fighting against his obsessions and succumbing to them alone.
The same person who directed this MV, is the same one who did their Giant and Social Path MVs. You can tell by the color grading. this director along with Chan's acting skills puts this at the top of best MVs for the year for me. Absolute masterpiece.
yeah, actually Novvkim has a rich and long history of making MV for SKZ. Those are: You can STAY (2019), "Double Knot" (English version) (2020) "Easy" (2020) "Ex" (2020) "FAM" (2020) "Red Lights" (2021) "Surfin'" (2021) "Gone Away" (2021) "Winter Falls" (2021) "Lonely St." (2022) "Your Eyes" (2022) "DLC" (2023) "Social Path" (feat. LiSA) (2023) "Stray Kids" (2024) "GIANT" (2024) "Railway" (2024) So yeah, he obviously loves working with them and creates masterpiece after masterpiece.
For me it's about the struggle between bad and good thoughts. The night for a sleepless overthinker is an eternal punishment. The eyes don't change color themselves, but their position. White eye left for dark Chan, right eye for white Chan. Two sides of the same coin fighting each other and I believe that here Chan does everything to imprison his bad thoughts in a cage trying to let the positive ones win but as we all know it's an endless cycle.
One thing i really liked was that it starts out with the red silk carpets tumbling down the stairs. The way it resembles blood, i immediately assumed there would be no "actual" blood in the mv, then next thing i knew, hes slobbering his life juice all up in someone else's mouth. 😂 Was NOT expecting it.
I think the lyrics are talking about his/stray kids "ticket" to the top. The journey he is taking to becoming what they are now. Chan himself has said he doesn't sleep/struggles with insomnia so that train never sleeping is very telling. The sirens screaming their warning is probably something the members all heard while trying to make it in the industry, as I'm sure their loved ones all warned them about how brutal the Kpop machine really is. I personally love lyrics/writing done in this way. It leaves so much up for interpretation and that's what makes it fun. The way this is written vs. how it's performed reminds me of Criminal by Taemin (another of my favorites) ❤
The production on this vid was awesome, that fact they mad a real-life reference to Vlad the Impaler (to which Bram Stoker biased his Dracula on.) with the poles in the yard was awesome. You cannot have an all-good person without the dark to make whole. I love how you analyzed this.
Love your reaction as always…great detail catching with the Vlad the impaler references and the eye color change…plus all the little things like the sun not killing the “slayer” version of Chan… which can be taken a few ways, imo,to him taking the vamps jacket at the end and the repeating of the entire cycle for eternity…also i feel like him having the color change in his eye represents him finally accepting and incorporating the his two sides.like he’s recognizing the 2 need eachother to exist…🎶❤️✌🏻
Also an interpretation for chans MV I found which is awesome: obviously he's fighting against himself-he had a dream and the passion to go after it, to the point it consumed him and took over his everything. He NEEDED to keep going, losing sleep to work, sacrificing himself to make others happy no matter how much they stepped over him to do so, or how much he'd have to step on others to make the dreams come true. Maybe he got a bit cocky and obsessed with the success of it all/with his need to be loved and accepted by fans (the minions he's creating in mv) and the chan at the end is him NOW-tired but accepting and telling himself to chill the fuck out and enjoy it all. Near the end, the video rewound to the beginning (2:12 of official mv), where "good but tired chan" (in white) stopped himself (the obsession fueled vampire) before he became a power hungry monster...... And he leaves him behind at the end-still alive and twitching on the floor-knowing that this darker part of himself will always be there, it will never go away. But he (good chan) will always be in control, and stronger than the insatiable desire and greed he has within himself. The prison where the mv is held is also his "mind". Literally trapped in his own brain-palace-prison, where the cycle and constant battle within himself repeats over and over and over again...
"Hmm, I think it's another language." You never fail to make me laugh. Your reaction was perfect. I was definitely stunned AND smirking watching the m/v the first time.
Love your reactions 😂❤ I put together what I think Chan's song is about and ran it by numerous people on the groups on facebook. Seems to be a liked interpretation. Here it is if you would like to read it ❤ The interpretation of the mv and song I got was, it is about his obsession to overwork and not sleep. Just like Red Lights, also why you have a lot of red, to reference to red lights, could be to stop, could be a warning. We do know Chan likes to reference his issue with work obsession, as he did in Red lights. Here he is Vampire Chan(as per Chan) to start and he goes around turning people into himself, basically overworked Zombies...In Vampire lore if you drink the blood of a Vampire, he becomes your master. Which we see in the MV. So then enter 2nd Chan(good Chan) with the white eye on the other side. He comes in to stop obsessed Chan. He kills him and then goes to leave, but grabs his jacket. (You know he kills him because at the end you hear the zombie/vampires eating him and you see his shoes slightly move as if someone is tugging on his body while eating) By taking the jacket he starts the cycle over again. Where he wakes up starving, for his work, he tried to be good and not obsessed...but he is what he is....and goes through it all over again. That is why it starts the same way it ends, with Chan being blown backwards. Channie has always said one thing he doesn't like is how obsessed he is and how he doesn't sleep but he can't stop. Tunnel vision, when he gets into producing he gets tunnel vision...this train never sleeps....wow....I thought this song was going one way but it went off another way. He also said he wasn't going to explain it and people can pull whatever they want out of it. 😊 He made it so others could see themselves and how they obsess and get into cycles. For him it is his music, overworking and not sleeping...for others it may be something else. They are trapped in that yard trying to get out...with illusions of being free because there is sun, but there is barbed wire and even though they are outside, they are not free. (Trapped in his mind) His baby in this, is his music. This train never sleeps as he is trying to finish the song but it is going to take a lot, so hold on tight and trust him. Need no breaks, no breaks....he can't stop until he is done. But doesn't he care about the casualties? Other people will suffer with being overworked but he can't help it because something is saying more please....the song isn't perfect, he needs to make it perfect. It is safe when it's just you and me (him and the song, so he doesn’t overwork those around him and have others obsessing too. It is only him getting hurt.) Railway, from one destination to another. From one song to another. It just keeps going, even when you finish one stop, there is another. At first I didn't think this mv or song fit together...but it actually does. The evil deed always returning to the one who committed it(what the sign reads)....he believes he hurts those around him with his obsession, (seeing himself as a sort of monster that hurts others) so in the end he is cursed to starts the vicious cycle again. Him being hurt with overworked obessession all because he put that on others, it comes back to him...He always puts such deep things in his songs. I do like that it took a different turn than I thought.
Also keep in mind the way the live performance of this song starts and ends. That chair is the white chan before dark chan takes over. That's why he falls back, it's the cycle starting over
@@shellic5166 I agree with almost everything in this theory except the part where you said the zombies eat him at the end I mean the noise you hear is from him sorta grunting because he's not dead since he's a vampire and there is a specific way to kill a vampire and that's not what happened here
I agree with almost everything besides the baby being his song. Personally I think the baby is his other half the other side of him. I think it’s a song to himself saying those things. It’s safe with you and me bc they’re both him. Hold on tight/trust me. Need no breaks/brakes bc he can’t control that part of himself. Etc
I made a huge thing on Threads about this: to put it shortly, I think it's about the creative process. It's a loop and neither Chans are a good or a bad guy. Black Chan is clearly a monster but he wants to be free (he's trying to get out of the prison of the loop/his mind) and he's rabid a bit with wanting to please and be pleased (the ideas phase of creating) while White Chan is "using" Black Chan for ideas. White Chan is the calm/work phase of creating that is disappointed in how careless he can get. He's the "gotta live in a society" in this equation, but needs Black Chan to function creatively. He takes the coat and the eyes thing at the end to work (representing pieces of ideas) until Black Chan wakes back up to start the process again. White Chan sings the song because White Chan is keeping the loop going.
I recognised so much more through out your reaction! Thanks so much! You should see after the ending of the MV the beginning of his live performance because its a continuation
Here's another perspective...Bram Stoker's Dracula is loosely based on the life of Vlad the Impaler. But if you research the life of Vlad the Impaler, you'll find that what we now think of him is based on a posthumous brutal smear campaign led by his enemies, both political and religious. In life, he was actually a national hero...after he fiercely protected his kingdom from the Ottoman Empire. And, while his war tactics were brutal...impaling his enemies (hence, his moniker)...he was actually seen by his people as a strong leader and protector of the kingdom. During a period of brutal, widespread invasions, he was able to keep his kingdom safe. Sound like anyone we know? Chan has always said that he will always protect his members. And we all know he is "BEST LEADER"!
He is a wolf and vampire, a hybrid. This is Underworld movie series, not Twlight. The video ends where the live performance begins. He’s dragging the chair. Vampires can not be in daylight. The mummies are running like wolves in the night scene. His bubble technically said “vampires can catch a cold” not he himself is a vampire.
It's not lost on me that one of the dolls he was torturing (us) was reaching out and touching grass when he stepped on her hands.... Notice the hungry tummy growls at the end? He's not done.
I took the song in a relationship direction when I was first seeing clips and hearing audio from the stages. Seeing the mv it took a whole new feel. I was seeing the Bangchan that was turning isolated and internalising as a trainee for so long watching others leave him and debut or exit the industry. The trauma and loss while all the while being pushed harder and harder prob why he still struggles with insomnia and eating to this day. That must create must do it all don’t all the best etc. this slumbering vampire like chan is when his battle born and trauma induced self comes to the front and takes on a full there is only one chance at this mentality and telling chan don’t care about the casualties the ones that fall by the wayside. We as one work together and I can get you that win, we can escape this prison and dominate them all. When the chan realises that the darker side of himself is trying to take lead and he pins him back down the dark chan is scared only of his counter part and staking him back in his cage is how Bangchan reminds himself of his kindness and compassion that the trauma has never been able to take away from him. He says the same lines don’t you care about the casualties but this time it’s more him asking dark chan don’t you care? These are people you might know even care about! He won’t let that happen. While he as the opposite eye suggests is part of the same drive to succeed and dark chan has that drive and thirst for it but it also need light chan to know when to draw lines and pull back as life is a ‘one way ticket’ and he doesn’t want regrets at the end of this train ride. There are tunnels and some storms but this train is both his life but his mentality. There is no train just the tracks made of chains
I always love your analysis. When you say “something’s in reverse” in the beginning it reminded me of a fan theory that correlates with his stage performance that he is battling with his inner demon of never resting always trying provide something new. But that this is him consistently battling with himself (which we all can relate to). But also that his stage performance is opposite (in reverse) of this music video. I love the duality of this song and video and performance. Bang Chan and stray kids are all so talented ❤️
I will automatically give a thumbs up to any Stray Kids videos you post, just saying 😂 This song is so good, and their new album is amazing. I love your reaction videos ❤
I may be the only person who feels that this song isn’t sexual at all, i mean it’s sexy, cause Chan is hot AF but…it’s about Chan’s fight with himself to control the dark impulses that threaten to overpower him, the hunger to keep producing and to keep creating, to control everyone and everything around him, that everything has to be perfect. So much so, that the people he loves and the things in his life are dragged along with him, being negatively impacted by his actions. I feel those prisoners, are the people and things in his life that he fears are in danger of becoming LIKE him, when he loses control. The brilliance of this song, before the MV came out, is that everyone was SURE it was going to be some 50 Shades of Chan kind of thing….when I feel this is picture into Chan’s world and how he feels about that struggle to find balance and peace…..
Yeah i feel the same. Chan is handsome so of course he will also be handsome in the mv and together with the outfits and makeup it just has to look even better. But overall the mv and how he acts is more scary to me than sexy. Or maybe not scary but sinister and eerie (not sure if those are the right words had to google them). You don't really know what's going on but it's clear that he's fighting something or someone. Like you said, probably fighting over who's in control. It's an inner turmoil. The other monsters/vampires/zombies are maybe some sort of thoughts or impulses that he either fights to suppress or that he feeds so that they help him stay in control.
I have an interpretation too! Railway can definitely be interpreted in a psychological way, but I think there's a lot more to the MV than people think. Although I do love the theories that have come out of it, none have actually addressed the significance of all this gore, macabre and gothic setting with an immense emphasis on violence. Typically, vampires or draculas hunt alone and live in solitude. So, they could potentially represent socially marginalised or alienated figures. They can also symbolise a sort of deliquency as they stray from the social conventions. If we were to analyse the prison in a sociological sense, the prison could represent the inability to break free from social norms and traditional conventions enforced upon people. If you think about it- there is a clip of the "Bad Chan" trying to break out of the prison...but then towards the end of the MV, we see the reversal of that clip happening. It could symbolise that all of the violence he inflicted was just a dream- like sequence. The significance of the violence sequence is that the "Bad Chan"'s deepest darkest desires are revealed. His desire to seek freedom comes with a price, as he loosens up those reigns and unleash havoc upon his victims with the rise of the moon. The victims in this case are the mummified bodies which represent his suppressed desires. That's why the "suppression" or "violent oppression" takes place. He breaks their bones, feeds off of their bodies and converts them into his slaves in retaliation for not getting his desired freedom. But then "social responsibility" kicks in, or the "Good Chan" arrives at the scene. The "Good Chan" kills the "Bad Chan" to force him to conform to the social norms. He has quashed his own freedom and desires to conform and to deliver on societal expectations. But as I mentioned before, "Bad Chan" had merely fantasized about this freedom, and had not acted on it. That's why there is the unrealistic standard of a vampire being out during the day which this "Bad Chan" had conjured up in his head. So when the "Good Chan" realises the "venom" ( or the source of desires) has gone missing and that the "Bad Chan" went hunting for more venom, he kills his other self (or alter ego) which is idealistic in nature.
I have a feeling that this song has a few meanings, the demon inside, the minions in this representing STAY and always wanting more, and I also think its about a relationship he's in and him wanting to announce it, but the fear around that, don't you care about the casualties "the reactions of stay" -rough ride. "How it's going to be tough to announce" the sirens screaming, "the potential reaction", we're staring at the ticket that says one trip - "he's only going to be able to announce it once, there will be no turning back once it's out there". Anyway.. im probably wrong.. hahahahaa but read the lyrics again and think about it.. 🤷🏻♀️
I believe he's using the vampire/Dracula theme simply to represent the duality of human nature and the battle we all fight within ourselves to control the darker side, darker urges, etc. The good version is ultimately locking away the bad version and maintaining control. The black jacket at the end indicates that the darker side is still always with him.
8:33 I don't know if anyone has mentioned this or not, but... On the plaque where something illegible is written in a strange language - it's in Romanian (my native language) (meaning Romania, the homeland of Dracula). The literal translation: "My castle is a place of darkness."
I thought this was about his desire for stardom or recognition in the entertainment industry at the beginning, his thirst and hunger for it. It’s seductive, intoxicating, and powerful, that’s why the song is so seductive.
Yup....my daughter pointed that out when we saw it for the first time too. Also Chan has a picture of him and the director, and the director has that neck tie on...lol
So I think the lyrics of the song are meant to be a double entendre - They have two meanings: one superficial and one deep. I believe the superficial meaning is a reference to sex of course and the deep or real meaning is a reference to mental health. I think the "train" that never sleeps is his train of thought. He struggles with insomnia, a characteristic of which is a mind full of thoughts that contribute to sleeplessness. He also battles depression. That may be seen referenced in the foreign language inscription that translates to " My castle is full of darkness". The castle being his mind, which is represented as a prison in the music video. I think the Chan we see initially that goes on a blood bath, is the aspect of himself that is dark and troubled. It/ he turns loose and wreaks havoc in the castle/prison/mind of Christopher/Chan. The Dark Chan (depression, fatalistic thoughts etc.) leaves casualties in its wake only to be apprehended by Light Chan who may represent Self-control, Power, Responsibility and I'd even go as far as to say Light Chan also represents Hope and Faith. Light Chan knocks down and subdues Dark Chan, caging him up so he can no longer wreak havoc in the castle/mind of Christopher. I personally think both the song and the MV may represent Chris' struggle with mental health and I thank God every day that he wins that battle daily. May he continue to win. I love you Chan and hope you're always safe and If you see this, I pray for you often Chan. All of my love
The real meaning is rather something else... it could be more translated to how Red Lights talks about obsession... because this train that is the entertainment industry and Chan's thoughts and actions in this case have a duality between what he wants to do and what it should do... the red fabrics on the floor, I think, rather represent the red carpets they appear on... well, that's what I see... although each person can give it another interpretation.
For me, this video is about fighting your own anxeity and depression. Which we stays know chris kinda battles with. The last part is the demon accepting they need to coexist.
I love the slight similarities with DPR IAN's work, even the wardrobe!!! Knowing Christopher likes Chirstian's work, not hard to think he took some inspiration in the way he presents his inner battles using lots of metaphors...
A few days ago i saw a post on twitter about this mv Director Nob’s Railway MV keywords and concept translation «The tragic life of Count Dracula, Bang Chan, who must take lives to survive. Though he feels hatred towards himself, he cannot stop his instinctive craving for blood. Then one day, Bang Chan decides. If he must drink blood, he will drink the blood of prisoners already stained with bad blood. However, under the sacred law of karma, "The evil deed committed always returns to the person who committed it" Bang Chan is not free. His struggle between moral justice and endless desire. Will the result of his choice be self-destruction or freedom?»
Their are so many was to inprept this song, 1. The plain meaning just by looking at the lyrics which is well yk very suggestive 2. In the MV the monsters that he is killing is the evil in his head, in order to get rid of the bad and evil in his head he has to become bad, after eliminating all the bad thoughts in his head/ the bad emotions that comes with the challenges that he faces, all that’s left is the darker side of him, so the lighter side (Chan in white) came and got rid of they Chan in black because he wasn’t needed anymore which was of course still had for Chan in white to do because Chan in black served as a protector for Chan’s mind during his struggles (that’s what I think but idk)
Just as an FYI, the source material for this is Bram Stoker’s Dracula and he could actually walk in the sun. He was just weakened which would explain the beverage who was partaking in when he was in the sun.
And the thing is where they usually give the inspiration behind them, he refuses to give anything other than “trains.” I feel like there’s the immortality, creating a legacy, but keeping themselves or himself in check. He won’t let himself become a monster and that could mean with this new contract and popularity, their fame, letting too much go to their heads as they move forward. They’ve been hungry this whole journey from trainee to now. With the acid was of their fans and the competitive atmosphere between not only the groups (many of which he’s friends with and respects) but also the companies themselves. But also he could be just wanting to delve into the darker aspects of any lore and it might not be related to them at all. That seems less likely. It makes my goth punk little heart happy. 😊🥹 Also remember this man also cowrote Red Lights. Just saying. 😊
Dark Chan represents his obsessiveness to keep on working, sacrificing sleep (we all know he has Sleep Apnea). White Chan represents his side where he knows that his, and other's health, is important so he puts Dark Chan "down". He takes the jacket, and throws it over his shoulder to take it with him to put it back on the rack, knowing the cycle will start again.
@anjelicabuster5036 he's mentioned it on Bubble a few months ago that he has Sleep Apnea. He's actually afraid of sleeping because of it and knows he needs to see the doctor again for it.
I see it as him becoming to strong (showing him in the day light and clearly having fun and just getting on well) and the white chan shows up to put dark chan back in check
I disagree, those solos were not just released out of nowhere, they were put into the album in certain order, again, not by the age as the videos were released. So of course you think of all the songs as one whole unit.
Sir, do you know that you literally forgot to blink between 1:02 and 2:43 ??? I was reading the comments before the video was started by Roscoe and was laughing so hard
The end of the video.... and the beginning of the LIVE performance.... seems like it links.... then the end of the LIVE is like the beginning of the Music Video.... like an infinite loop.... Have you watched the LIVE PERFORMANCE??

@chrissyy89 This is the best interpretation I've read and I absolutely agree. Chan baring his soul with a deeper glimpse into himself for us. It's brilliant like our BangChan.
I read somewhere that his live performance and the music video is one big loop. When he falls at the end of the live performance is where he wakes up in the mv. At the end of the mv he is walking away with the chair is where his live performance starts. It’s kind of genius in my opinion. I absolutely loved the mv.
I noticed the chair thing, but the falling in the end of the performance? This is actually insane
@palozhka he falls onto a "bed" at the end of the performance, which is where he wakes up on in the MV. One big loop.
Like he fell slowly and consciously into the darkness again, no brakes, going insane, let it happen
COOL! Thank you 🙏
Yooooo thanks for pointing this out to me omg
Those are: You can STAY (2019), "Double Knot" (English version) (2020)
"Easy" (2020)
"Ex" (2020)
"FAM" (2020)
"Red Lights" (2021)
"Surfin'" (2021)
"Gone Away" (2021)
"Winter Falls" (2021)
"Lonely St." (2022)
"Your Eyes" (2022)
"DLC" (2023)
"Social Path" (feat. LiSA) (2023)
"Stray Kids" (2024)
"GIANT" (2024)
"Railway" (2024)
So yeah, he obviously loves working with them and creates masterpiece after masterpiece.
@destiny_corso Thank you for this!!!
@@destiny_corso Gracias por la inf, es uno de mis Mv favoritos de SKZ, muy artístico.
The first time this mv dropped i had to watch it like 5 times to fully contain everything
Same lol
I have it on repeat.
@@aprilgreen2006 saame
i repeated it for like 10x 😂😂😂
@@seungjin4life711 that's the only right way to do it lol
One thing i really liked was that it starts out with the red silk carpets tumbling down the stairs. The way it resembles blood, i immediately assumed there would be no "actual" blood in the mv, then next thing i knew, hes slobbering his life juice all up in someone else's mouth. 😂 Was NOT expecting it.
@@CherryAtomyk i mean he could slobber his life juice all in my mouth and I'd be totally okay with it
The way you call it “life juice” is funny. I’mma use that from now on. 😂
@Aideelucee do it 🤣
I think the lyrics are talking about his/stray kids "ticket" to the top.
The TikTok edits are absolutely FERAL!!!
Also an interpretation for chans MV I found which is awesome:
obviously he's fighting against himself-he had a dream and the passion to go after it, to the point it consumed him and took over his everything.
Love your reactions 😂❤
I put together what I think Chan's song is about and ran it by numerous people on the groups on facebook. Seems to be a liked interpretation. Here it is if you would like to read it ❤
The interpretation of the mv and song I got was, it is about his obsession to overwork and not sleep.
He made it so others could see themselves and how they obsess and get into cycles. For him it is his music, overworking and not sleeping...for others it may be something else. They are trapped in that yard trying to get out...with illusions of being free because there is sun, but there is barbed wire and even though they are outside, they are not free. (Trapped in his mind)
His baby in this, is his music.
That's why he falls back, it's the cycle starting over
Nose porque le cuesta tanto a algunas personas que reaccionan al vídeo interpretarlo , si no está difícil ..@lunarphasegaming
@@shellic5166 I agree with almost everything in this theory except the part where you said the zombies eat him at the end
I mean the noise you hear is from him sorta grunting because he's not dead since he's a vampire and there is a specific way to kill a vampire and that's not what happened here
I agree with almost everything besides the baby being his song. Personally I think the baby is his other half the other side of him. I think it’s a song to himself saying those things. It’s safe with you and me bc they’re both him. Hold on tight/trust me. Need no breaks/brakes bc he can’t control that part of himself. Etc
@ericahayes2354 thanks, definitely can see your view as well and it works ❤️
I’m obsessed with this song and mv since it dropped. It’s that good.
my 🧠 STUCK on chorus since Last Wk.
No he is just a vampire
@@tattoomom71 yeah he said he’s a vampire on bbl the day before yesterday
He’s a vampire. The video is based on Bram Stoker’s Dracula who can survive in daylight.
@ guess that’s what Chris meant when everyone’s interpretation can be different. I love all the different theories and thoughts.
The original Dracula could control wolves and had the ability to transform into a wolf himself.
It was that good that your mouth was open the whole video😂😂
Left me totally speechless, BangChan pure genius
I love this song so much it's on repeat on my playlist
Watching along in the chat was so much fun, and you were absolutely right about all of us. 🤭 This MV is insane, such an incredible track.
In the end, did you see the change in his eyes. Dark Chan's dark eye was on the left light eye on the right. Light Chan change it was reversed.
My interpretation: It's the "monster within" coming out and Chan having to reeling it back in, but it's also a time loop, a neverending cycle.
8:17 really explains the ending. This is such a masterpiece. I can't wait for IN Hallucination breakdown.
I will automatically give a thumbs up to any Stray Kids videos you post, just saying 😂
This song is so good, and their new album is amazing. I love your reaction videos ❤
Lipsistoper took me out 😂 I loved that!
This is probably one of my favorite reactions to this mv
This may possibly be the first time I've seen Roscoe literally shook after a video and I completely feel that lol
let's watch his performance from Domin Ate wolrd tour ver. !!!!
I lovingly refer to him as ChRIZZtopher.
Yes those of us who were lucky enough to get to see this live have it branded into their souls, doesn't hurt that he's my bias 😅❤ GOD HELP US ALL 😅❤
8:33
I don't know if anyone has mentioned this or not, but... On the plaque where something illegible is written in a strange language - it's in Romanian (my native language) (meaning Romania, the homeland of Dracula). The literal translation: "My castle is a place of darkness."
I think it’s the beast mode that is inside. The hunger, the thirst, the moving forward -and the desire that has to be measured - meted out…
Thank you Roscoe!
The end scene "bad chan" is in the foreground. You can see his feet and hear his groans/grunts. This is a song about himself, to himself.
We love SKZ reactions❤️🔥
I thought this was about his desire for stardom or recognition in the entertainment industry at the beginning, his thirst and hunger for it. It’s seductive, intoxicating, and powerful, that’s why the song is so seductive.
It's like Bangchan challenging two personalities.
You're brave man to go into this unprepared 😂.
Oohh I've been waiting for this!!!!!!!
Recognizing the dark side and knowing that it will be a constant battle of the human condition.
Quite the exploration Christopher.
Along with the Dracula vibes, I get a Blade vibe too.
Just realised how in the mv he wears the same tie piece as DPR IAN does in the don’t go insane mv
Yup....my daughter pointed that out when we saw it for the first time too. Also Chan has a picture of him and the director, and the director has that neck tie on...lol
Totally got DPR Ian vibes throughout!
Well Chris and Christian are basically the same person just at different stages of life
They even both attended the same high school in Australia
Can't wait for you to react to the other members Solo's 😂😂❤❤❤❤
5:11 😂 Well you know how Chan loves his modes of transportation.😂
Stays pointed out that this MV loops with his live performance and is true, you should react to the live performance too😊
Oh God, Christopher
The real meaning is rather something else... it could be more translated to how Red Lights talks about obsession... because this train that is the entertainment industry and Chan's thoughts and actions in this case have a duality between what he wants to do and what it should do... the red fabrics on the floor, I think, rather represent the red carpets they appear on... well, that's what I see... although each person can give it another interpretation.
Muchas gracias por esta reacción abrazo desde Argentina ❤
For me, this video is about fighting your own anxeity and depression. Which we stays know chris kinda battles with. The last part is the demon accepting they need to coexist.
I love the slight similarities with DPR IAN's work, even the wardrobe!!! Knowing Christopher likes Chirstian's work, not hard to think he took some inspiration in the way he presents his inner battles using lots of metaphors...
A few days ago i saw a post on twitter about this mv
Director Nob’s Railway MV keywords and concept translation
«The tragic life of Count Dracula, Bang Chan, who must take lives to survive. Though he feels hatred towards himself, he cannot stop his instinctive craving for blood. Then one day, Bang Chan decides. If he must drink blood, he will drink the blood of prisoners already stained with bad blood.
However, under the sacred law of karma, "The evil deed committed always returns to the person who committed it"
Bang Chan is not free. His struggle between moral justice and endless desire. Will the result of his choice be self-destruction or freedom?»
It feels like there are homages to DPR IAN, the og Dracula novel, the k-zombie sub-genre, and maybe even Monster by Big Bang. Absolutely obsessed.
I am decidedly…in the trunk
Their are so many was to inprept this song,
1. The plain meaning just by looking at the lyrics which is well yk very suggestive
LIPSTOPHER!!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I JUST CANT !!!!!! then there was "christopher after DARK!" its hilarious!!!!
😂 This is the first time I have heard the name Lipstifer. He does have nice lips though.
Fighting his own inner demon… also the idea that vampires cannot be in the sun came in later iterations, not originally
That's a MCU hallway scene right there!!
I was speechless too when I watched the mv but I love it bang chan is the sexist vampire I've seen
goodbye i needed to be in at least 3 scenes in the MV😩
Also remember this man also cowrote Red Lights. Just saying. 😊
If a vampire consumes enough blood he become a daywalker.
"I feel like I know what you animals in the chat are saying" 😂😂 sir, you KNOW YOUR AUDIENCE 😂😂😂
I think the vampires he created are feeding on him at the end of the video. And that's the sounds u hear.
Him reading those lyrics about trains poetically 😂
very dark version of Bang Chan
All I have to say is how would a collab between Stray Kids (or Chan) and DPR Ian be?!? I think we need to try and make this happen~!
Can we talk about the dprian viibes in this mv? hybrid is here!
I figure the good side is the dark Chan....he's himself, raw and emotional. The light themed Chan is the control and neutral forceful one.
4:09 yep thats was my exact reaction
Dark Chan represents his obsessiveness to keep on working, sacrificing sleep (we all know he has Sleep Apnea). White Chan represents his side where he knows that his, and other's health, is important so he puts Dark Chan "down". He takes the jacket, and throws it over his shoulder to take it with him to put it back on the rack, knowing the cycle will start again.
He doesn't have sleep apnea love, he has insomnia
@anjelicabuster5036 he's mentioned it on Bubble a few months ago that he has Sleep Apnea. He's actually afraid of sleeping because of it and knows he needs to see the doctor again for it.
I see it as him becoming to strong (showing him in the day light and clearly having fun and just getting on well) and the white chan shows up to put dark chan back in check
Necessary, maybe not. Fun and thought-provoking, definitely! 😀
I disagree, those solos were not just released out of nowhere, they were put into the album in certain order, again, not by the age as the videos were released. So of course you think of all the songs as one whole unit.
Roscoe quedó igual que yo cuando lo ví no entendí nada Pero igual lo amo 😅
Anyone think this has a connection to Red Lights? Black, white, red… hmmm I am prob just spinning about this track and MV 🤯
I liked your reaction 😁
Sir, do you know that you literally forgot to blink between 1:02 and 2:43 ???
I was reading the comments before the video was started by Roscoe and was laughing so hard
Oh yes lipstopher. Oh yes.
Secondo me, è per via dell insonnia e del bisogno di creare nuove canzoni...Brain... Train... Never sleeps... È una mia teoria ;)😊
The end of the video.... and the beginning of the LIVE performance.... seems like it links.... then the end of the LIVE is like the beginning of the Music Video.... like an infinite loop.... Have you watched the LIVE PERFORMANCE??
I was so focused on the MV and reaction, then suddenly, he whispered 'lipstipher'... my focus is gone😭
Took everything in me to watch Roscoe and not Christopher🤭
Did I hear that right? Back Chan & Lipstopher?🤣
💜
Yeah esa fue justo li reccion la orimera vez que vi el video kajajks
My first impressions leaned more toward Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde
