God, I've studied quik's sets religiously, and even with how good he is he was playing out of his mind this game! But you could tell he just ran out of juice at the exact wrong moment, and kola capitalized. Damn this was one for the books.

Sad Quik went out vs Kola. Was a hype set, last stock last hit (due to Kola bringing it back pretty hard).... If Quik shielded the side b and threw him off the stage, he would likely have won. We're proud anyways Quik represented Germany and Europe really well. Going out vs Kola game 5 last stock last hit is no shame :)

Somestimes I think „should I buy those broken dlc characters?“ but than I think „hell no I am classic with samus“ … she needs some love some buffs people using way to much shield against her.
As a main Smaus player I am amazed by the movement Quik has with this character. But also there are some techs that he lacks off. There were non pivot grabs, and I saw some kill confirms from just a grab and Kola over shielding. Missed some Zairs on the last stock when Kola was jumping over the platform. Quik had to win this match.
There is definitely a need for commentators, and there is definitely an art to it. 1.) Don't speak long sentences about something that is 5 seconds ago, which, by the time I'm done done typing this, 3 other noteworthy things have happened. I'm hearing the past and seeing the present. Keep the sentences small and reactionary. 2.) Add more individual and varied personality between the commentators. Like whiz and boomstick, or like Skip Bayless and Steven A.
I had to pop off for Kola I was really feeling the anger from all those bombs and up b’s and safe on shield fairs(which props to Quic for playing the matchup even though it gets annoying) but I’m glad Kola was able to get through in the end and congrats to both for getting this far
The bombs are easily avoidable, the UP-B puts swordies like marth/roy in amazing positions vs samus - kola was baiting it out enough or was too confident hitting on samuses shield for free, and the fair is sure as fk is extremely unsafe. This match up is roy favored bud, if youre gonna be upset, atleast be upset for the right reasons. Especially with them playing on small battlefield lmao
Honestly can’t really say that , imo if you play Samus and min min campy enough or as good as quic did (just not getting nervous and messing up at times) they should be winning most matchups on that alone , every character has weaknesses but it’s the way how you play around them that matters

Samus is a Hybrid camper, as in she can put out a decent amount of projectiles but has to go in every now and then, in opposition to someone like duck hunt dog for example. Samus loses hard to rushdown. It is her weakness, because her projectiles with the exception of Charge shot are fairly laggy and punishable. Kola, while he is an amazing roy, it is really obvious to see that he is generally newer at this MU. Characters such as wolf, roy, marth, chrom (while on stage), lucina, etc can beat samus fairly easily. Rush down beats her slow projectiles (exception of charge shot) and slow frame data and Juggling samus in the air destroys gets you free % because her only real *safe* option is bomb mix up to confuse her opponent. If you know the MU it is EXTREMLY punishable.

Proto and Quik have shown that while no where near as useful as Melee, that Wavedashing and Landing still have some value in Ult
Its usually bad in ultimate but for characters with terrible rolls like Samus its still usefull because it actually has less lag
