🥰
I work at Ruby’s pantry. You mentioned paying ahead. I can tell you from someone who works there, it’s better to just come and get in line for a share. I am close to 2 different ones. I ultimately decided to go to the one without paying ahead. It costs more to pay ahead and your share is actually smaller.
Ok thank you for that. That’s interesting.
It’s an amazing program
This is such an awesome program! I'm always intrigued to see everything you all get and a few others I watch. That was sweet for someone to pay for one of your shares. Thanks for sharing. Much Peace and love 🙂
It was definitely a surprise!
It’s so exciting to see what we get. And a great fill in for the week! 🥰
You got good sturr.😊
When i was a kid we did something like this called the CROP program. I checked my area, and we don't have it in new york. I wouldn't do a regular food pantry, but maybe something like this. We don't need a food pantry.
We love Rubys Pantry too! I wanted to ask how you handle the expiration dates. I know the general guidelines that Rubys shares, but have been noticing more and more far behind dates. For example, the coffee drinks make me nervous, but maybe its more in my head! Thanks
We store food here, we have a prepper pantry with outdated food. So we are ok with it. It’s mainly going to be taste and smell.
We just make sure it’s ok.
Plus businesses have to put dates on them, that doesn’t always means it’s bad.
Check out the fda and usda sites. Canned food is often good indefinitely. Most dates. Although required, are sell by or manufacturer best by dates.
I understand you pay 25$ but you said you hve a prepped pantry n most people in line hve no food so I’m not Waite sure how to understand this especially with the protein running out for familys
Yeah I didn’t know they were going to give it to me. This is for all income levels. Plus someone donated to me. I didn’t understand why.
That was really nice for someone to pay for you. We need more love and generosity like that. Too often we see and hear the opposite. Yall got a lot. Great that they offer things like this. ❤
such an amazing program, we don't have that here. While I struggle that so much is used for prepper back stock (which I don't think is the point persay) I hope those that need it for present day helps hugely. Very nice that someone paid it forward.
Yeah they provide so much food for the county. And I think there is so many locations. Enough to go around
This is surprising to me. I've actually never seen a food pantry where you pay. I agree this is a great price at $25 for what you get. By time I go to the food pantry it's because I have $0 left. I could not afford the $25 but I still believe this is a good deal
Yeah it’s a church ran program in multiple towns all over Wisconsin that charges $25 per share. It’s not just for low income.
There are food pantries in Australia that charge $10/ box/ trip as well!!
Wow that’s awesome that you can get all that for $25 a share!
Ik I love this program. It’s a blessing for our family! 🥰
Did you place a preorder? I never have to wait because you pick Your pickup time. And you never have to worry about running out because they take the preorders first. Try it next time if you didn’t this time. Also you can pay for a share for someone and the Ruby’s workers pick the person. God bless.
I couldn’t do it for this location because it was a new location and they didn’t offer it yet.
But my next one will be at another location and I’m going to with that one.
As for the picking a person u think that’s what happened. What a blessing
Hi Stephanie...this was a great haul...I don't have a Ruby's pantry here but I do have a wonderful place that does fill in hauls and it's helps out a lot. Thank you for sharing 💕👍
It’s nice to have some kind of pantry to go to for extras. Grocery are so high priced right now.
@@10KidsandAGarage Yes you pay for $100 of food and have only 3 bags. I pray it gets better 🙏
Wow u got Alot of Good Things!!👍🏻👍🏻☕
How sweet that somebody paid for one of your shares. 💚 The Love Crunch granola looks tasty! ⭐
🥰 yes it was
@@10KidsandAGarageYou could have said thank you in your video.
@@kittykatz3518 I was truly grateful. And said thank you multiple times there.
They have amazing ppl the volunteer
I bless you 🙏 in Jesus name
Wow! Lots of good stuff!
Fun to see what we all get 🥰
Great haul!
I used the program SHARE in St. pete, Fl. For $10. We had to help load the boxes also so many times during the year. The leader told us to go to the main Church auditorium once a month and get another bag full of food once a month for free. The share program was in many states at that time. Dont know if it still exists.
Sounds about the same. This was $10 at one time for a share
I did food shares long ago in California but up here in the PNW, I haven't found any. Great items you got.
Do you have Salvation Army by you? Sometimes they have pantries
@@10KidsandAGarage Not near me. I am in a tiny town in the eastern area. Moving in the summer so hoping will be better where I'm headed.
❤❤❤
So anyone can go?
Yes if it’s in your location. Look up Ruby’s pantry and go to location and put in your area or local area and see what comes up. This is what I looked up
Ruby's Pantry distributes food at Pop-Up Pantry locations across Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa and North Dakota. There is no income or residency requirement and for a $25 bundle donation you will receive an abundance of groceries.
It’s not based on income
If it’s not based on income, does that mean your income is enough that you don’t need to go to the pantry?
@@kathy1t
No.
The program is for all ppl. No income limit
Not just for poor.
They want the food to go to everyone
Plus they have locations everywhere with the same amount of food. So most times everyone gets food.
It’s a timed out event 4:30-6
I’m so confused.
If a person/couple has ten children and uses this kind of “free food” entity … how does that fit with a person/couple who responsibly chooses to have 2 children because they knew they would be able to afford groceries for their sized family without relying on “free food” entities? They may have wanted to have more children, but knew their responsibility was THEIRS (and no one rise’s and no entity) to provide food for their family.
And … you have a prepper pantry - and use this “service” even though by doing so, others get less or none because you take what you see as your “entitlement”? You have food in your home - more than enough - to have a prepper pantry?!
I’m so disturbed by your/this practice - unless I’m not understanding the situation….?
It’s not free. You have to pay for it. It’s not for low income
@@10KidsandAGarage so … why use this service if it’s the same price as your regular grocery store then? I’m truly confused.
@@papabear2515 because it’s offered to the public that would like use it. It’s not the same price as the store. You pay the price for the share.
I know you’re confused, but it’s for anyone to use. No income limit.
Just because we store food doesn’t mean we can’t use food pantries. The program don’t care who gets the food.
I still have to feed my children and if this helps our family, why can’t I use it?
@@10KidsandAGarage I’m not saying you CAN’T use it. I simply question the moral judgement of using it when you have a prep pantry, 10 children you chose to have and feel completely comfortable having others offer to provide for your chosen family responsibilities.
@@papabear2515 I understand. Our Prepper pantry isn’t enough food to feed our family. So we use and pay for other resources to feed our family
If you're getting food stamps don't go to the food bank pantry to get free food you're already getting assistance you don't need the help you're taking away from those that need it
I know a lot of ppl are confused with this program. It’s for everyone. Some ppl buy 4 shares themselves or they donate it to their family.
They have so much food for everyone.
It’s for rich and poor.
It’s not free food. You have to buy it
I get 15 dollars a month so your telling me I shouldn't go
Lol your full of it😊
