I love how the girls in number three all have such distinct voices but they all blend so well
Having listened to Disturbed's version of of The Sound Of Silence Many many times now I think he would nail this song too.
I'm not sure he could hit the nuanced complexity of emotion. This is a hard sell of a song, but I would like to hear him try. Edit: After thinking about it, no fucking way..
These were all so wonderful. I don't get out much, so I don't know if I should know who the singers were. Their expressions of the song were all so lovely. And yeah, Jeff Buckley's was a cover, but Leornard's didn't get much notice until the unfortunate and untimely demise of Mr. Buckley brought the soulfulness of his cover to prominence. My very favorite version is the one on "Leonard Cohen Live", but I have to admit that I didn't even go back and play it repeatedly to grab every nuance until after Jeff Buckley's recordiing transfixed my ear to his voice.
I still have yet to hear a version of this song that's exactly how I want to hear it, either they don't sing out hallelujah w/ enough soul or they sing some parts a little too fast. In this case, all of them have beautiful, amazing voices, they were just pretty quiet which isn't my favorite w/ this song.
Alissa Price I know it's not the same song, but you should check his SOULFUL performance.
Alissa Price check out the pentatonix cover ... that's justice xD
please look up Pentatonix cover for sure but also Jeff Gutt and Carly Rose Soneclair

And try Lind, Nilsen, Fuentes, and Esplin's
3 minute acoustic version. KD Lang is also amazing

Try this cover of hallelujah I think it's one of the best!!!
Skeye belongs on this list.
The last one is for sure the best but all are beautiful
Wow amazing!!! Fantastig !!!
my teacher sang this once it should be on this list but it was never filmed.
they are amazing!! love it..
ugh the trio was
This is the best version I’ve ever heard
You are amazing
Os melhores, amei❤️😍👏
I feel like the best cover out of the ones chosen was the second one. I don't know, all the other ones were lacking, and although he tried to replicate the same sound as Jeff (which he did splendidly) I feel like his cover brought more emotion than the others. My opinion, which is as good as any other, nevertheless, how I feel about your choice. Generally, I agree with your choices, but not today I'm afraid.
has disturbed ever done this song ?
thought that I saw it once on fb
would love to here it.
But you know it's a Leonard Cohen's song, right? Jeff's version is a cover too.
They all covered Jeff buckleys version, atleast they all said so ;D
Well it's good I brought that up then :) "Hallelujah" was first released on Cohen's studio album Various Positions in 1984. Jeff's version in '94. You can listen to Cohen's version here watch?v=YrLk4vdY28Q
Mityna Thank you! i appreciate it :)
:))
+Cupri they probably covered jeffs version since its a better one
i liked the 4th cover
This is a Leonard Cohen song... so really Jeff Buckley has the best COVER... :)
Corey lulz kd Lang made his song her own (according to Leonard Cohen)
it's all about getting the "halleluja" right
who is the first guy?
The last one was AMAZING but you can tell the girls don't like eachother when the other is singing.
Gostei muito... Voz Incrível
Brasil. 😀
I liked 2 of these but feel there's so many better covers. I don't really care for any covers of this song unless they can give me chills.
jamousjme try this one it sure gives me the chills!!!

Margarita Filippou - I've actually heard and love that one. Gives me the chills I love with this song. Thanks for the suggestion anyway 😊
Chase Eagleson does a very pure version and Axel Rudi Pell is great if you like a rock version.
#4
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👏👏👏💖🙏
The first guy is the only one that really nailed it, I didn’t really like the rest 😂
The second guy needs to work out where he takes breaths. Other than that it was fantastic
Jeff buckley did not compose this song. It is leonard cohen alone. COHEN. Remove buckley who has no righths in this ecxept when someboby buy his album but still royalty goes to COHEN being the sole composer
The second guy either needs to adjust his microphone settings or learn breathing techniques. While it is a certain type of "trend" to hear the gasping between lines, it's improper and quite bothersome to many listeners.
Die singen soooo gut
Ari Hest's cover is, in my opinion, the best.
It's really hard to beat a voice like Joe's
Hey PLEASE share the chords/tablature
el penultimo el mejor,el segundo y el ultimo los peores.
i sang a cover of this but i couldent sing anything like this i was sooooooooooooo far away from being like any of them
their voices were amazing!
You forgot about Femrys Watson...
Alexandra Burkes version is the best
Damn both blondes are hot!
show
Joe Brooks version was the best.
2nd guy anoyes me with his breath
1 and 2 did not even sing it right, 1 just used an echo and 2 kept exhaling in the mic
Kinston & Duck I think they were probably just trying to put their own spin on the song. I mean if people wanted to hear the original, they wouldn't listen to the covers. Cover artists have to add a little bit of pizzazz haha. Have a spectacular day!
Where's Shawn Mendes... He should've been the #1...😐

am i the only one who thinks most of them sing really weird ? O.o
no i think that too
Please, by all means, post a video of you singing it...please, I beg you
I reckon this version ua-cam.com/video/WNT1wBtohy0/v-deo.html beats them all.
Sorry but none of these even break the top 500
Most of them have really weak and nasally sounding voices
