Wooopwooooooppp!! Great to see an ETS2 episode again Zilla! And thanks to you informing me about the event wasn’t aware of it. Will crank up ets2 tonight 😄
@@ZillaBlitz Doing good, just hit 200 subscribers... Not bad since I just passed the one year mark....now to 500. Look for those sales after Nov 22 as that will be one year from release. Like Truck Simulator, it's one of those games that requires some strategy to be successful, so I think you'll like it.
Congrats! Awesome work! That's faster than I hit 200 subscribers. (I was 1 year 5 months to 300, 11 months to 100). Good tip on Farming Simulator, thanks. It seems like a game that has just not gone on sale at all for the longest time, or at a reasonable discount yet. But I'm in no hurry, plenty to play. :)
yeah that Hannover event took me by surprise as well, time to get planning. One thing to note before ep 100. In game options (Gameplay I think) change the preferred distance slider all the way to the R; this should then open more longer distances for you. Great episode as always and good to see you back in Europe with their crazy Ai traffic Ok the mod I used to use before SiSL was "minimal adviser interface for ATS & ETS2" its on the workshop and if you sort by UI then all time its one of the top ones. If I recall right it leaves the mirrors you like to use the same size but the other stuff is like SiSLs
Two great suggestions, thanks so much! I've adjusted that distance slider before but that's a great idea to do it when looking for Episode 100. At the moment it's at the default. And thanks on the mod. Nick stone recommended one too, I'll check them both out. :)
Yet another AI driver with no idea but an enjoyable two deliveries topped off by some excellent parking and setting up episode 100 nicely. Congratulations.
hi Zilla how are you great video exited to see ep 100 in ATS in ETS 2 just been driving around doing jobs thats pay well and sometimes doing convoys and that's all pretty much i only drive around the maps that I have
It's been a while since your Scania rolled on the road. My goodness, almost 100 episodes!? I can't wait for that epic 100th episode! And after this, I'm going to play Truckers of Europe 3 by Wanda Software on my tablet. I've just acquired a Scania S-series 8x4 and I'm gonna customize the hell out of it (including, just for kicks, a One Piece skin!).
Pretty much! It has many features of ETS 2 and Wanda does many updates, plus many skin to try out, like some skins of real life companies like one I saw for the Mercedes-Benz Actros that emulate real-life company Bernard Hunter.
ProMods is updated for the current version of ETS2. Something you may want to be werry about is it has a tendency to jump up deliveray distances. I haven't tested it on any profile with some experience on it but everytime I used it with a new profile I was doing 350-500 kilometer deliverary's at level 1. Not a huge issue if you enjoy the longer journeys but I figured it was worth mentioning
One of my complaints with the games are the mirrors, and why I like the hood mirrors in ATS. It's almost impossible to just take a glance at the mirror and I end up swerving. I don't use the F2 mirrors at all, but I am thinking of using them for lane changes. Congrats on 99 too!
Hood mirrors are not a thing in Europe (like in real life) I do agree though especially The right mirror is hard to assess where one is planting its arse when parking haha
I feel like when I've driven a (albiet small) real truck, I've found the mirrors incredibly helpful, but for whatever reason in the game the mirrors just don't make things that clear to me. Part of it is that I have two bright studio lights right behind my monitors, so it makes it a bit trickier to see things because of the brightness. But those big F2 mirrors work great. I can SEE with those. :)
Hey Zilla. Really enjoying you content on both ETS2 and ATS. Have been binge watching all the episodes during the last month. Especially enjoying the ones where you drive in Scandinavia, where I live. I have one question for you. What kind of monitor are you playing on (size an resolution)? Cause I’m looking to get a new one, and lately all I’ve been playing is ets/ats. Don’t know if I should go really big or stick to something smaller.
Hi Peter, thanks! I'm glad you're enjoying the content. I spent a year in Scandinavia a long time ago, would love to get back some time. Had so much fun. ~ I am going to add technical specifications and links to my PC episodes this week. (I've finally figured out how to do that.) But for monitors, I'm using 2 27-inch Dell Monitors. I really like them. I'll post more info inside of episodes soon, though, if that helps. :)
I think your drivers were bringing in the cash but now that it rounds down to the nearest 0.1M it can look like progress is slow but look at how many msgs you got when you started after sleep. With the brakes, check the control assignments in the controller menus, there are all minds of hidden goodies on the keyboard. Buying a transmission with a retarder helps too. With some transmissions there will be two versions, a retarder version and a cheaper non retarder version. In preferences you can also set whether you want retarder & engine brakes to come on automatically or not although I think there are differences between ATS and ETS2 on this.
Thanks Sam! This is a whole new world for me to explore with the brakes. I feel like a total newb, but I guess I've just never had issues with braking before. :) With the money, I felt like we were making about 200k an episode, so not seeing the 1.1 go to 1.2 over about 16 hours of game time felt like the drivers were underperforming, but maybe I just am overestimating how much we were making before. Or maybe next episode we'll make like a half million. :)
@@ZillaBlitz yeah, employed driver performance can rise and fall. If you explore the keyboard you'll find all sorts of new controls; brakes, retarder, air horns, dif locks, axle lifts, open and close the windows, high beam light, rocket launchers. It's a treasure trove. Can't wait for episode 100!
I think you should have the mirrors at all times, they are kinda important for driving. :P Yes, it may feel too much of an advantage, but IRL you can just get a quick look at your mirrors and back, and that's not something you can do in ETS, it seems. So you are playing at a disadvantage to real drivers by not having them always on, IMHO.
Yeah, I like to have them off so that viewers can see more of the scenery, but I could always turn them off when I start talking. I might do that, to keep the mirrors up for more of the ride. Thanks.
That's a recent thing to try to show more of the scenery to viewers. I might move it back left so I can see the left mirror though, especially as I have the top 2 corner mirrors off.
Hi Zilla, nothing to do with truck sim, just thought you might be interested in some pc games for you to check out, 1: Destiny of the World, Pavlov’s House, Commander: The Great War, Advanced Tactics Gold, Lock & Load Tactical Digital, Valor & Victory, Warsaw, would appreciate your thoughts on Destiny of the World as I have looked on you tube for a let’s play nothing available, so when you do get to look at it please let me know your thoughts, I have played it and don’t mind it, not bad for a WW2 game, cheers🍻
Thanks for the ideas, lots to unpack here. :) I've just reached out to the Destiny of the World developers, that sounds interesting. I'm just now playing a learning game for Lanzerath Ridge, which is another game in the Valiant Defense series, of which Pavlov's House is one game. (That's table-based.) Some of the others I'm familiar with, and have on Steam, but I haven't made time yet to play them/create videos. So much to play, so little time. :)
