Tip: No one at this point is good at the editor yet. The standards I terms of polished-ness are really low. You can have simple and quick levels - just make sure the gameplay is kinda fun and it uses new features in an interesting way. Then they will be received well.
Just to let you know, if you set the UR and UL vertices to the same group, you can make triangles, which allows you to make every polygon. That could be revolutionary.
@IonRuby if you are talking about squares, then it can be made by two triangles. If you are talking about the 3d cube, then it can be made by a lot of triangles.
Thank you so much!! I’ve tried messing around with the trigger a bit on my own and couldn’t figure it out too well, so this is super helpful!! Thanks Viz!!

i felt like making chat gpt make an essay abt why it is so revolutionary and it believes that 2.2 hasn't come out yet, but here it is: Geometry Dash 2.2 is a highly popular and addictive platformer game that has gained a massive following over the years. One of the most anticipated features of the upcoming update is the introduction of the gradient trigger, which has been hailed as the most revolutionary trigger in the game. This new trigger promises to bring a whole new level of creativity and complexity to the game, and players are eager to see how it will change the way they design and play levels. The gradient trigger is a game-changer for several reasons. Firstly, it allows for an unprecedented level of customization and control over the visual aesthetics of levels. With the gradient trigger, players can now create smooth, seamless color transitions and gradients, adding depth and visual interest to their levels. This opens up a whole new world of possibilities for level design, allowing for more visually stunning and dynamic levels that were previously impossible to achieve. Furthermore, the gradient trigger also adds a new layer of complexity to the gameplay mechanics of Geometry Dash. By allowing for the creation of more intricate and visually stimulating level designs, the gradient trigger challenges players to navigate through levels with a higher level of precision and skill. This is sure to provide an exciting new challenge for veteran players and add a fresh layer of excitement for those who have been playing the game for years. In addition to its impact on level design and gameplay, the gradient trigger also represents a significant leap forward in the capabilities of the Geometry Dash level editor. The introduction of this new feature showcases the developers' ongoing commitment to providing players with a robust and versatile level editor, and demonstrates their dedication to continuing to push the boundaries of what is possible within the game. Overall, the gradient trigger is shaping up to be the most revolutionary trigger in Geometry Dash 2.2. Its potential to transform the visual aesthetics of levels, challenge players with new gameplay mechanics, and elevate the capabilities of the level editor make it a highly anticipated and groundbreaking addition to the game. As the release of Geometry Dash 2.2 draws near, players are eagerly anticipating the new possibilities and challenges that the gradient trigger will bring, and are eagerly looking forward to seeing the incredible levels that will emerge as a result of this revolutionary new feature.
So I found a way to make a entire level with just the gradient trigger, advanced trigger, move triggers, and hitboxes it’s gonna take so long but it’s possible with just the four blocks so I can make a level with probably less than 5k objects that also looks really cool.
WHAT , omg this makes me wanna mess with triggers too , I didn't actually knew gradient triggers can do that! , that for showing this , real eye opener 😭

Hi there! You may look up rotate trigger tutorial on UA-cam

You set a center object as an id (the center object is the one where you want everything revolving around it)

Then place down rotate trigger, add center id as 1 and other id as 2. Then make (x360 = 10-whatever you want)
