I really liked how you go through the questions quickly. So many people who do this kinds of videos drag them out way too much! Well done. I enjoyed following your trek. Hope I get to do it someday!

Julia: Thanks for your videos. This year marks the 40th anniversary of my thru hike. You brought tears to my eyes. My take: The AT stays the same. You walk -- until you get where you need to be. By the way, both sides of my family are from Johnstown, Pa. Live, girl.

Girl you are such an inspiration to me personally! I am a Neuro Trauma ICU nurse, I grew up outside of Pittsburgh and watching your videos has been awesome for me. I am planning to leave for my AT thru hike on April 1st 2021. I've never been backpacking and I will turn 26 on the trail. Thanks for your videos!!!

Julia. I'm 73 and have hiked parts of the AT in years past. Also loved the Whites! I never comment on YT, but had to tell you how much I enjoyed your trip and this follow up piece on questions. I think what kept me watching was that spark within you and your love of life that, even on your most trying days, somehow always came through. Thank you. Onward, Lady... you're incredible!

Wow “I would rather be questioned for my actions than allow a fellow through hiker to suffer” Awsome words of wisdom ❤️

Julia, thank you for posting these great videos. Congratulations! I'm 62 now and still want to do the same thing you did. We'll have to see. Anyway, you have given me some great advice and motivation. So thank you again.

You don’t need to be ashamed of talking about handling periods, it’s just a normal thing. As a male, i find it useful to be aware of how women manage their periods on the trail! Anyways thanks for the video, very informative:)

I truly appreciate your trail ethics. I'm from the Smokies and anybody who tries not to hurt the plants or wildlife is a real hiker. They're the only real hikers in my opinion. So, thanks!

Hello! I, too, live in Pittsburgh. I have hiked 1,469 AT miles so far. I hike in about 400-500 mile sections every spring. This year I hiked NJ, NY and got off at Kent CT when I took a nasty fall. I hope to finish my hike next spring. I’ll be 70 years old and figure it will be an awesome finish! I live in Stanton Heights and would love to meet up for a beer and trade trail stories sometime.

Thanks, Rocket. My wife and I have enjoyed your vlogs. I've been section hiking for over 30 years, doing the Long Trail along the way, and was watching many other vloggers this year before discovering your channel. You were upbeat, positive, informative and genuinely open about the downs, ups, and in-betweens. It's a wonder how I managed to not subscribe until today. I like the way that you skirted the "romance" question. 😊 You don't HAVE to tell ANYTHING, and, being a vlogger, you deserve the right to have your own private life. Kudos to you for your completion. Now you are a TRUE "Thruhiker," and not a hopeful "Thrubie." We are looking forward to joining you on your next adventure. I plan on finishing the AT in the next couple of years, and, maybe, attempt a thruhike of the PCT when my wife retires, if I'm still capable at 70 something. Take care and God bless. ☺
