Bought a second hand Chevy Aveo UVA for my wife's office trips. She was a learner too and opted for a cheaper car for all obvious reasons. It had run 72k when I bought it, and I changed the front 2 tyre. The car had AC issue, which I had to change the evaporator. Leaving these few issues which cost me a total of 10k, the car engine wise runs brilliantly.. I was surprised that it easily pulls from 70-120kmph (strictly on highways)..
Chevy produced some really decent cars like Tavera and beat etc among the top sellers but very sad these American manufacturers are not able to sustain Indian market :|.

Hello Sir, I have learnt driving in recent months and wanted to purchase a used car to improve my driving skills and occasionally use the car for weekend trips later on.
I had come across two Chevrolet beat model LT petrol models from Goa state as I live near Karnataka Goa border. The options are below:
1. Chevrolet beat 2010 LT petrol 55,000 kms driven single owner available at a dealer. The car was initially priced at around ₹1.45 lakhs but since 2 months the car did not selloff due to high price now the dealer has reduced the price to ₹1.25 lakhs.
2. Chevrolet beat 2016 LT model 58,000 kms driven single owner directly available with the owner. Asking price is ₹2.30 lakhs
Should beat petrol be considered ?
I belong to a small town so will there be an issue with repair and spare part a availability?
I also need to consider the state transfer cost, if the cost is less for state transfer then it is fine but if it is more than ₹20,000 then it doesn't make sense.
My requirements:
1. Looking for a value for money car
2. The car should be easy for senior citizens to get in & out of the car at the rear seat so they don't have to stress on knees
3. Good built/sheet quality so that it can be used for highway rides.
Do let me know your suggestion and if there can be a better car to be considered.
On a side note grand i10 2014 sportz o is available in my town, second owner 67,000 kms driven, available directly with owner and also there is no need for state transfer but asking price is ₹3.98 lakhs
