Tekton's just trying to train his smithing up and y'all gotta mess up his xp rates. He always goes back to his anvil hoping you'll leave him alone and let him train.
I’m a casual player. When raids first came out I was on the slow grind to 99 slayer and never thought I’d do raids. Now that I’m 200k away from 99 I’ve been really wanting to try raids finally. Thanks so much for making this!

Just would like to take the time to say, thank you very much for this guide, you took your time speaking slowly and clearly and demonstrating with the pictures, texts, and video's showing each and every room in the exact detail that someone such as myself needed. You are absolutely amazing, hope you get every possible drop here under the drop table.
raids seem like so much fun, it looks like dungeoneering but you actually get something of value. Can't wait to try out raids when i get the stats, thanks for the vid man!
It is very similar what with the points system and all. I enjoy it more because the team isn't saving up points for themselves to buy a weapon at the end, but the team has to split the drop at the end. Makes it more fun.
This guide helped me so much I’m on like my 15th one and I still die cause I don’t get to practice as much as I want but it helped me better understand everything immensely before going in got 13m off dex scroll split first ever raid and we saw a 4 man t bow split on my 13th..don’t be discouraged about dying because I died twice and we got t bow with 50k pts just keep your head up and you’re bound to see sick drops good luck people!

Amazing guide! I'm just learning raids on my zerker and watched a few guides but this one is by far the most informative one for the basics!! Thanks so much for putting in time into this!
AsukaYen OSRS since it takes the avg combat level of the group, is it true if the avg combat level is below 115 the points rewarded significantly drop?
For guardians I recommend standing on the 2nd tile, attack, click on the 3rd tile and immediately click on the 2nd tile so your character does not stop on the 3rd tile. This allows people to sync up better and reduce stamina usage as you run 1 less tile
Also a good note, head phase he can spawn blue pools that if not stood on you take a decent amount of damage and also heals olm for a good amount of hp.
The trio olm fight laid out here: is that the ideal method to attack olm. I keep hearing about "mage skipping/melee skipping" is that something different? Still a little fuzzy for me.
Im going to start raiding soon so this helps. But it's a really good time for bc, my friend is an iron man. He got the t-bow as his first drop. So that's gonna make things easier for olm at least. And I believe his second drop was dragon claws. If not, then that is just his most recent. Sad fact though, the day he got it he was two manning. He made his friend jealous and then that friend's cat died. Same day. My grandpa died the day before. Some might say the T-bow has a certain wisdom. To obtain it you must lose that which you love. Or have two friends do it lol. Fucked up to joke about I guess. Either way, I love asukayen vids so this guide is appreciated.
@AsukaYen OSRS, is most of this info still good and accurate? I'm looking into starting up CoX, but wanna know if the gear shown here is still good for minimum switches, etc
I got like 500 KC and this is a pretty good guide for a 3 man. Just wish you explained if it was mage set or meele set. It will kinda tell them when to expect an attack
Hey @AsukaYen, do you happen to have a file with slides for some of the gear setups and boss mechanic explanations you have at the beginning of the sections?
George Hendron What I have found to be easiest is for phases one and two: have both people on the melee hand until it crippled. Then one runs the head and one is in the hybrid spot maging. Try to keep the melee hand crippled as much as possible. For the third phase, both are on the melee hand until it’s ready to be killed. Then switch to the mage. And by then you know how to finish it up.
@@AsukaYenOSRS Alright great, thanks for the reply I'll try that out for sure. And once again great guide so much detail. Im sure ill be referring back to it over the next couple of weeks.
Vespula redemption method is best done with a team full of T-Bows. I also wanted people to know how to do vespula the right way for the most points rather than a work-around method. Tbh just skip vespula lol.
AsukaYen OSRS Me and my mates do it in 3/4+1s with acbs, sometimes 1 tbow. Works well and is an absurdly fast room with drops. Always been a fan of the room :o
I'll make a vid on properly doing it with no grub feeding, but 3c vespula raids are absurdly fast and some of the best scouts points/hr wise. It does take some sweating when ur alting the raid though
idk why I have been thinking about this comment so much rofl. Vesp is just so sick, p sure the current world record run uses the redemption method, which is 10x easier than the tagging method. It just ignores every mechanic and makes the room easier than tekton/vasa imo. One of the fastest rooms even without tbows :o
I don't know if you go over these via voice, but I've skimmed through the pictures and got some feedback: A few issues with the gear setups, ballista is good for really budget but even a dragon crossbow is miles better due to the dragon bolts and the fact that a range offhand switch isn't gonna be too difficult to incorporate for a beginner. In addition, ruby bolts should be used with dcb/acb in teams of 6+, while they should be always used with dhcb. This is regardless of split or ffa. Axe isn't really needed anymore because it spawns in the ice demon room. The archers ring isn't as good as a b ring due to it not giving a max hit. Lastly, if people are to take ancestral pieces, they should do either 1, 2 or 4 of them (ma2 cape being 4th), as only these amounts give a max hit. As such, you can replace the cape with an angler or even a brew. For shamans, worth mentioning they do no jump if everyone in the room is near a wall. Works the same way out of raids. For tekton, saying that the further away he is from the anvil, the weaker he is, is kinda misleading. The distance has no bearing on his defence, only amount of specs and time he's been at the anvil. The reason you want to be far from the anvil is so you can get more hits on him when he walks back to it. For vasa, a dagger is generally better than a hasta because it has an aggressive option and you don't need to worry about attack styles. Dwh specs are not neccesary if you have at least 1 bow for every 4 people and if you are to spec, do it after the first crystal as its defence almost resets after it detaches from a crystal. You can brew up as soon as you appear under vasa as teleport damage is calculated then. Worth mentioning everyone should keep hp around 30-50 to mitigate the teleport. For rope, might be worth mentioning that you can do 2 bp hits and 1 xbow/tbow hit (or just 3 bp hits) on them when aggroing rangers initially, then 1 bp 1xbow/tbow (or just 2 bp hits) every time you reaggo, this you can maximize your dps if you're tanking.
Some of the stuff is very relevant to beginners though, like not bringing an axe could give an inventory space for another potion, and Berserker ring being straight up better than Archer's. The thing about Shamans is extremely useful too because it helps to make sure no one gets AGS'd by them. Ballista is just useless overall, outclassed by crossbows for safety and outclassed by the Blowpipe for DPS.
Guru Vasile Tell me, how many beginners to raids do you think have 150m? Unless they bought their money or didn’t do raids until well after they should’ve.
you mention spacing out dwh specs on tekton because hitting at the same tick will not stack the defense reduction. is this a tekton mechanic or universal mechanic of runescape/raids?

AsukaYen OSRS does serp helm work instead of antipoison? And is it even worth using?
Martynas Andriušis yes the serpentine helmet can be used and most certainly be used in place of the neitiznot helm.

Great guide, just one question. If you were duoing raids would you have a dedicated mage and hybrid or a hybrid and head runner?
George Hendron
What I have found to be easiest is for phases one and two: have both people on the melee hand until it crippled. Then one runs the head and one is in the hybrid spot maging. Try to keep the melee hand crippled as much as possible. For the third phase, both are on the melee hand until it’s ready to be killed. Then switch to the mage.
