  • Heading across some of the Savannah in NQ,As we make our way to Burketown to spend the next 7 weeks camping along side the Albert River up in the Gulf of Carpentaria.
Lucky enough to have mates bring fresh water out half way thru our stay to top up the water tanks, saving us from having to track back over the saltpans, than back to town to top up.
Exploring parts of the river system on the quad while we look for that prime fishing spot.
So if you like fishing, Come along and take a look at how we live full-time in our Ute & Toy hauler.

🦘🇦🇺 Awesome. Thank you for the invite to visit & see a much more beautiful lifestyle. I’d imagine it would have its fair share of challenges, particularly during the wet season. Throughly enjoyed it. Thank you. 🙏

Ay mate, sorry for the late reply. Yep, I remember. I was a bit lost the first time we meant at Carmilla. Good to see you’s got more. I bet you’ll be keen to head back that way in the next few months if it’s not running to hard. We ended up getting a good feed of sooty as well when there. Take care and I’ll no doubt see you again when I’m back over that way :)

      Cheers mate.
That’s a hard one ay, my x use to get hit by them too. Few things we did…
Baby oil n detol 50/50 mix(can add a cap full of metho to help it mix better) . It works for me this one.
      Always have coils on me.
      Thermacell.
      Smoky fire.
      Fan when I’m bed.
Or just rug up. Socks and all. Yep can get hot and not for me. But I see many that have to do it.
I’m lucky mate coz they don’t like me as much thankfully. Coz I’m always doing it ha.
Even had b1, and antihistamine tablets for bree. Must be taking be for you head out tho.

    G’day Campman
Was just watching the video and saw the wind power generator how well dose it work charging you batteries
obviously you have solar power as well but was just wondering on the wind power generator was thinking of doing that same thing on my camper

    • @Thecampman_Camping-Australia
      @Thecampman_Camping-Australia  2 роки тому +1

Ay Daniel, to be honest if I wasn't living like this full time I wouldn't have one. Reason being its big, heavy and not as efficient as solar as the sun comes every day but wind don't. But when in perfect conditions like the spot I'm camped at in this video, it really works well and worth its weight in gold. In saying that I'm probably in these perfect conditions once in a blue moon. By perfect I mean no trees or hills near by, because it can really effect it. I only have a cheap one so id say the more expensive ones on the market would possibly work better...some take less wind to start up. They really need constant wind and no interference to get the most from them. Constant wind speed is the most critical I've learnt....when its only wind gust its pretty much the same effect as having cloudy days for solar, the out put keeps fluctuating. Hope this helps a little.
      Cheers
