I know this is an old video UA-cam age wise, but I found this method & special Bobcat to be just as relevant in the GTA Definitive Edition. I was able to obtain this special Bobcat & had no issue keeping it through the rest of the game. Just needed to do regular manual saves to avoid losing the pickup. Some missions will make you use a designated vehicle, which makes your choice of vehicle disappear. Through extensive use of the Bobcat, I found it to be quite crash resistant, not 100% crash proof. It's 100% bulletproof & explosion proof. Explosion proof as in gernades or rocket launcher have no impact on it, but it will explode if flipped upside down, if ran into by a Rhino tank or with lots of crash damage that will eventually cause it to start on fire & explode.
@@_MjG_ I’m really glad this helped! I also did try it out on the definitive edition version of GTA III. I can’t remember if the bulletproof bobcat disappeared from my garage in a subsequent save or not. I know that the original game before DE would have the tendency to remove my bulletproof vehicles, including the bulletproof cheetah which I also made although that’s a lot easier Can you explain to me what you mean by doing missions and stuff with the bobcat? Maybe explain what you mean about how to keep it from disappearing from the garage. It seems like you were talking about doing regular missions with it if I’m not mistaken.
@@ChiroVette I did use the special vehicle Bobcat for a select few missions. There was a few missions that were made significantly easier using that Bobcat because of it being bulletproof & it seemed to take a lot of crash damage before starting on fire. In quite a few missions, no matter what vehicle you use at the start of the mission, it would disappear because of the game forcing you to use a certain vehicle to do the mission & when you finish the mission far away from the starting location, it would disappear. I played GTA 3 to 100% without any special vehicles, immediately followed by playing again with the bulletproof Cheetah & Bobcat. I didn't notice any difference as far as the game trying to take those special vehicles away. I saved the game every 2 or 3 missions in the next slot available of the 8 save slots available. So don't just keep overwriting the same slot. That way if you notice something wrong like a special vehicle disappearing, you can go to an earlier save & you won't lose very much progress. I would just check every couple of saves to make sure my special vehicles were still all in the garage. In 2)100% playthroughs I noticed just 1 time that my bulletproof Patriot disappeared from a garage, but it wasn't a big deal to me because I had been saving the game regularly. I just went back to my last save where I still had the bulletproof Patriot & very little progress was lost. On my next 100% playthrough, none of my 3 special vehicles dissappeared.
Honestly, this BP vehicle seems to disappear from EVERY save I ever create. I have basically stopped collecting the BP Bobcat because it really seems like the game simply doesn't want you to have it. I have never lost a BP Patriot or a BP Cheetah, though.
Omg! Hey I got the bobcat in the garage on my first try! Literally! I did took the barracks ol at first but it blew up so I a firetruck instead and I flipped it over with it. Thanks for the video
@MattD874, sorry it took so long to respond to you! Anyway, yeah this is ridiculously frustrating to get, and clearly the hardest vehicle to steal in the game. As I said in the video, the Bobcat does disappear if you let either the blown up husk or the turned over vehicle off your screen for even a second. What makes this harder is that you have to not only negotiate your way safely back to your garage BUT you also have to make sure you can ALWAYS see the freaking thing on your screen...literally at all times!
Ah! Forgot about the BP stretch. Honestly, the easiest BP vehicle to get is the BP Patriot, which you get by completing the mission, Marked Man for Ray. By the way, none of the BP cars in GTA are truly everything proof. They aren't ding-proof, meaning you can damage them with even light crashes and turning them over makes them explode. Even the Rhino isn't 100% ding-proof, but it takes a VERY LONG time to destroy. The BP Cheetah is easier to steal than the BP Bobcat. I posted a vid on that one.
Edmund, it's called the hooker trick. Pick up a hooker while you have 100% health and bring her back to a very secluded place like your hideouts on Portland and Staunton and the picnic grounds at the bottom of the hill near your Shoreside hideout. Once you get to the right spots, your car will start rocking and if you let it continue, you will end up with 125 Health. :)
I just gave up on this. In a few missions you get a bulletproof patriot and I just need to get this friggin Turismo race without getting my ass blown up lol Very awesome video though, I love all the commentary
Got it all the way in the garage, and a clandestine cop arrested me. Guy drove in the water unmitigated 3 times in a row. Then more deaths and destruction lol shoulda done the Turismo achievement before killing Salvatore. It's the only thing I need for 100%! Lol
I think I am going to do that on my next play through of GTA III, thanks! How do you get the Barracks, and Sentinel? Oh, one thing: All the BP vehicles are FP and EP as well. The only thing that the ones I have on my saves (Bobcat, Cheetah, and Patriot) don't have is they are not ding proof and if you turn them over, they will catch fire and explode.
wow thanks so much for the info.......by the way is it possible to obtain two bobcats instead of one? because its so rare to get a unique vehicle this good
And also I've lured different gangs into enemy territory. It's funny cause they're trying to see who they should attack between Claude and the enemy gang
Sorry Alex, but Ray's final mission is the ONLY way to get the BP Patriot. If you lose it, you can't get it again unless you reload an earlier save before you lost it.
Yeah its a GREAT vehicle, particularly if you want to drive around leisurely through St Marks where the Mafia goons will shoot at you with their shotguns, which blow your vehicle up in one or two shots.
@ChiroVette thank and thankfully I did find an earlier save that started rays final mission. I had to redo a couple of missions because of that but I think it was worth it.
Hey there Lulay. Here is what you need to do: Six Police Bribes - Do 20 Vigilante Mission kills on EACH ISLAND (R3 in police car, tank, etc.) Health and Adrenaline - Paramedic Missions Flamethrower - Put out 20 Fires (R3 in Firetruck) on each island All Other Weapons - Find all 100 Hidden Packages (You get one weapon for every 10 you find) I posted a video walkthrough in 5 parts for the hidden packages if you need it. Just search "ChiroVette Hidden Packages" on UA-cam if you can't find it. ;)
This is a freakin pain to get. Ive been trying for like two hours. Something im doing wrong? Already got close to safehouse pushing it with the barracks and it completely disappeared from right in front of me
I'm sure you won't respond to a 12 year old video, but when you lose it in your garage, is it the staunton garage or a different one? I feel like the Staunton Garage is the least trust worthy Garage.. I've lost a few cars there over the years.
You know what? Buy it off Amazon or eBay for the PC! hahaha Any PC with any kind of a discreet GPU should run all the PS2 GTA's at maximum settings. You can buy the Triple Pack (III, Vice City, and San Andreas) fr like FIVE BUCKS off Amazon.
I lost my bp patriot and I want to know if I could somehow get a new one! Someone please help I play on the iOS gta3 10th year anniversary edition. Someone please help
I got this vehicle by a lucky chance When the auto-save starts I was pulling on the door So when I started the auto save when I was driving too fast and drove in the ocean I was in it Wasn’t that hard imo
Great find, Raptor! I was not aware you could use the autosave on the mobile and WindowsApp version of this game to do that! Bear in mind, though, that I posted this video waaaaaay back in 2001. Back then, in the PS2-era GTA games, you had to manually save.
Tony shinn in this mission, that's the way it works sometimes. I have stolen the BP Bobcat many, many times in many, many saves. Sometimes it is much harder, to the point of absolute insanity, and others it is a lot easier. It gets particularly tricky if you have gang members like the Yardies and Columbians shooting up your pushing vehicles, or if you accidentally get one star and have to deal with the cops. Not to mention if you end up overturning the Bobcat far away from your Staunton safehouse, it can be a real nightmare. Often times, while pushing it home, and having to deal with traffic in your way and gangs and police, by the time you handle whatever the game is throwing at you, you turn around and the Bobcat is gone because you looked away. Again, other times it is easy as pi and I have done it in just a couple of minutes, easy peasy.
I lost it while doing the S.A.M mission I left it at the construction site to go to the airport as needed and when I finished the mission and went back it wasn't there
ChiroVette Well, I got the Bobcat, but I had a more raging experience because I had to push the pickup to the safehouse from the south end of the island, one crash away from exploding, but I got it. Thanks for the method :)

lol nice. I have to try that
+ChiroVette actually it was a group of the Leone family (around 4-5 of them) I lured into Hepburn heights. Ha
+Herman Castaneda lol cool

The BP vehicles (especially this one!!) are very hard to keep and will disappear forever very easily, I'm sorry to say.

BBBBLLLUUUURRRRRYYYYY

Or is it just me
Hahahaha good to know. :)
Crap, I wish I saw the video before I passed the mission
Hey remember this if and when you play the game again! :)
ChiroVette thanks for the advice, I will!
Even after 13 plus years this game never gets old.

No, it’s the PC version.
lol!
