Thanks for the video! GT Pro+ has been getting good buzz in the SF Bay area for the next level in power ride with big battery and competitive price. Been keeping an eye on these 168v wheels coming out. I'm a big battery wheel kind of rider so this wheel, the Sherman L, the Commander M (when it comes out), and that 168v 4400Wh Master Pro variant have been catching my interest. Looking forward to the follow up.
Correct me if I'm wrong but I think I hear you say the GT Pro+ is $3k (1:18). If thats correct, then honestly I can forgive its less than optimal mudguard, rear spoiler & fuglyness 😁. All that aside, it seems like its a great hi spd cruiser. I'm betting seating riding is similarly good as well. For the $1+k I'd be saving over the ET Max & its direct competitor Sherm L, I'd take this GT Pro+ all day any day. If I was in the market for such that is. Anyhoos thanks for the honest impressions. Good stuff
@@scottsum1319 The lowest price I can find for the GT Pro+ is $3700 on Alien Rides, so I called it a $3k wheel. But yes! Despite lacking in the look department, the wheel rides excellently so far, and is the biggest selling point of this wheel.
The GT Pro+ seems to be a good long-range performance wheel. I like that the USB-C and the charging port are at the back. I am curious to see how the wheel would handle a heavy downpour. What are your thoughts on the water resistance?
Assuming it's like other EB wheels, not good against heavy downpour, some light rain should be ok. I will be taking mine apart to do tire change this week, so stay tuned for that.
This is what annoys me about EB high performance wheels. IMO, they're better than LP by suspension and performance measures. They're also more repair friendly so to speak with part replacements and such. But, they care nothing about esthetics, or ergonomics in most cases which gives them poor marketing negative and perceptions on quality. Yet, the ride feel and wheel balance in combination with power performance is top of the line. This is just what it is a great wheel just not a great looking wheel with cool features or sophisticated design.
Thanks you for the review. Been riding mine about a week now and the charger recently failed so waiting for replacement. Agree that the ride is great. Still unsure about the stock tire. It's less agile at lower speeds than my ex20 was with the michelin street pilot tire and it gets bad train tracking on rough roads but also feels stable at high speed. Really interested to hear results if you end up changing the tire. I'm also in the minority in thinking the wheel looks decent. Kinda reminds me of the boxy, 80s era mustangs.
How is the handling with regard to sidewalks for example. I know you referenced how it turned out while on the road at higher speeds, but how does it handle while at smaller speeds moving around things and multiple back to back turns such as sidewalks. The reason I ask is the area I’m has sidewalks, bike roads, and then there are roads without the bike shoulder. So while varying paths I could be on the road, on a bike path and may decide to jump over to a side walk. As well how is the suspension? Maybe you mentioned it and I’m just not recollecting but about to watch the video again. I’m looking at these unicycles and trying to gauge things. Thx for sharing!

Hey brother, I have a GT pro minus, which came with an 80/90 tire, and it massively over-reports the speed/milage numbers. I bet they kept the firmware the same on the GT pro plus with the 100/90 tire... Which would "correct" their milage numbers, right? (no credit to EB for being careless tho) What do you think?
Hey, I believe the GT Pro+ uses different firmware, since it have a completely different motor than the Pro. The speedometer is all up to the firmware, so honestly all EB have to do to fix the GT Pro over-reporting would be to roll out a new firmware... but then they would have to be honest with that wheel's top performance, which I'm not sure if they'll be able to do. It's always nice to boast big numbers after all.
