His words reminds me of Bruno Mars ,sabi nya na after releasing hits he didnt expect to become hits he was pressured to make more which he failed but when he realized he shouldnt pressure himself and just enjoy the process (not expecting it to be a hit) then those were also the times his releases became hits so from then on he just went on making music without pressuring himself or thinking about people's expectations from his works
I've grown to love JK since releasing Buwan. His music is so raw. It gives an unfiltered feeling of extreme vulnerability. I love that his intentions in making his songs are reflecting the type emotion that a person should embrace while going through a rough phase in life. He's a great artist 👏🏻

He really is tired of the pressure and expectations around him. Kilala lang natin sya sa Buwan and Ere kasi ayon naman talaga sumikat, pero may iba pa syang mag songs na relatable that really expresses his emotions; kanta tulad ng Jenny, Kulimlim, Sampaguita featuring Gloc-9 etc.

I feel nagawa lng ang Ere and his new album, "Sad songs and Bullshit" dahil sa pinagdaanan nyang breakup the past year. Maybe that's why he didn't have any expectation, he just wants an outlet for his pent up emotion.
I especially felt this on Ere's live performance MV.

It is another version of buwan (chord wise) with a mix of radiohead's creep on the chorus. Props to JK though for a making a beautiful piece.

3 questions to ask when before loving this song:
1. Do we love making catchy songs with awful lyrics and meaning trendy?
2. Do we want to normalize trouble-making curse words?
3. Do we want to repeat depression in our minds and wonder why our mental health is weak?
It’s sad that Jk is among those with great voice who can create great melodies but with a terrible message. Be careful.
1) how do you identify objectively awful lyrics? Because simple story telling and metaphor heavy writing can both be effective means of expressing a message or a feeling, and isn't that what art is (in this case the art medium being music).
2) Isn't it a bit narrow-minded to label words, put them into a box and tell everyone "these words are bad words, no one should ever use them". Words hold power in the way they are used, in this song, is the word "putangina" used to insult, degrade, or oppress someone? Or is it used to express the frustration and sorrow of being left alone with your own thoughts and emotions?
3) Repeating depression is different from making more people aware about real circumstances that happen and that are sad, and even then I would take repeating depressive awareness over toxic positivity that glorifies and romanticizes the "survival from suffering".
Freedom and Truth is the main recipe of a good Song. In my opinion it can ignore any rules and values, unless ur a boring scared artist. After all it's just a song, not an educational provision.
hearing this hundreds of people sing the putang ina in chorus sounds really demonic. it is not cool. there are many ways to addreess your heartache. there has been many many heartbrokenhearted songs that need not to use demeaning words
