Game hasn't had any real big national significance since 2003 when Cutcliffe of course found a way to lose it - with Eli Manning under center and with the SEC West championship on the line. Still, it's fun to beat them. I've been to several games at Tiger Stadium, and the best sound in football is when you are a visitor there in that loud stadium and then a hush falls over it in the 4th quarter when the visitors are in the victory formation.
My comment is general in nature. These are factors that can kill us this season; 1. Ability to get along and mesh with others on team. 2. Injuries. 3. Quit being intimidated. In my view, Georgia and Alabama come to mind. We seem to let Alabama kick our butt even if we are better. Georgia we have a score to settle. Have to be better in the trenches. Otherwise, we are screwed like last year. Take care of these factors and we are vying for the NCS. Just my view. Hotty Toddy!
Anybody that knows college football knows lsu won't be competitive this year and ole miss is the best they've been in almost a decade.. Ole miss should best them so what
LSU's in everybody's top 15. Who's all the college football savants you speak of? This is my take on the tigers. LSU's defense will improve much much more than what their offense regresses.
Heard that Deon smith may still have a hurdle or 2 to clear before he gets to ole miss and princley may have a setback and is recovering slower than expected from surgery
you are a few months behind schedule. Deion Smith is already through the hurdles and on campus and Princley was full participant in practice more than 3 weeks ago. You are worrying about nothing.
@@Young_Rolfe listen to monday nights REBEL YELL HOT LINE and they talk about it .Smith was supposed to be clear but they said it could had been pre-mature 27.56 is the point in the show when they talk about it
Steven, you are right about the LSU offense taking a step back. They had the No. 1 offense in the country. But do not discount what they have coming back. The WR room is still loaded and when you combine the TEs with the WRs they will be just as strong as the OM receiving corp. The tackles you talked about are not only good they are both 1st round picks and Campbell is projected top 10. He can go one-on-one and not give up anything. You are also right about the 23 LSU defense being the worst ever and that game came down to the last play and the game was at the Vaught. LSU is favored for good reason.
There's not much talent on LSU's defense outside of Harold Perkins. Their dc is gd but they didn't upgrade at corner and have no dline the only way lsu can win is if the crowd gets to dart. Plus the added motivation for tre and Deion
Tiger DLine is better than you think especially on the edge. Godfather of DBU will have his secondary prepared. LSU still recruits the same top shelf talent defense offense it don't matter. Tiger faithful sure got to him last time he was in Death Valley.
Ole Miss aint beating LSU at Death Valley yall barely did last year with LSU having the worse defense ever dude. Ole Miss will lose but LSU and Georgia will be there only lost so will be a great year for the Rebels
LSU lost their 2 best players on offense. That’s the only reason they were in that game. Their defense was down last year and they didn’t get any better, just added coaches (who can’t play on the field)
@@Cdrop63 bro you sound like everyone I talk to down here. I’m in Lafayette, I hear that 24/7. If you think that offense will be better you are crazy. That was historically the best offense LSU has ever had, and the 2 best players are gone. That offense is the only reason many games were close or even won. Now you expect to be better on offense and defense loosing all that and adding basically nothing. I love the HOPE, but come on man be real.
@@darrenfrancis4773 I didn’t say it would be better. It’s hard to top what it was last year with a heisman and two first round receivers, but week 1 last year NOBODY said they would be the #1 offense in the nation 😂 and you’d be lying if you say otherwise. They will not take a huge step back as they are still flooded with talent especially at WR. Our defense was the worst I’ve seen in 34 years and I guarantee they aren’t that bad this year. We were a mid defense away from another natty last year. Idk who you think ole miss is 😂 they aren’t coming to BR and beating us two years in a row. Hang that up brotha
@@Cdrop63 listen to yourself you are even saying the offense that kept you in games is going to take a step back and the defense is less than mid. The only reason you guys were even able to keep up with teams like ole miss and fla st. Was because of the offense that you saying is going to take a step back. So if they get behind with that less than mid defense you are talking about how in the world do you expect them to come back? With unproven talent? Freshman? I understand your points but come on man I’ll take experience any day.
Nuss, over all is a far better passer than JD5, always was and always will be. Now, of course, he can't run the ball like JD5 can run the ball, but nonetheless, he can throw the ball better and with the kind of TEs and WRs LSU has, that goes a long way . Meanwhile, LSU has the best OL in in the SEC and it isn't even close. Sure LSU lost Diggs, but Diggs was not even the best running back on the LSU football team. Moreover, LSU has the de-facto best Tight End room in the entire country, bar none. To go along with a WR room that in all probability will surpass last year's two first rounder WR room of last year. So for the second season in a row, LSU's offense will be nothing less than outstanding. On defense, it looks like former five-star Dominick McKinley will be good enough to start at DT for LSU right off the bat. Harold Perkins, who has put on good weight, will be far better than he was the last two years The DEs will be more of a terror by far this year relative to last year. The safeties will be a major improvement relative to last year, and the cornerback room just simply cannot be as bad as it was last year. Hence, like the loon you are, you are vastly underestimating how good this LSU team really is.
We are not taking a step back on offense at running back, wingnut. LSU has the best OL in the entire country. I know LSU sent a Heisman QB and two WRs to the NFL as first rounders after last season, but LSU has even more studs at WR and TE going into this season than it had in 2023 wingnut. This notion, that LSU loses a Heisman QB and two first round WRs and therefore it will take a step back, is nothing but pure utter garbage. As Nuss will pass for more yards than Daniels did last year and LSU's running game, with the best OL in the country, is going to be one of the best running games in the entire country. Then, because of LSU's brand new all-star defensive coaching staff, the defense will also be much improved at the same time. Nonetheless, go ahead, I like it when gullible useful idiots under estimate their opponents.

It is. It's going to be super fun for LSU, but it won't be anything but a very bad setback for Ole Miss and Lane Kiffin.

Olemiss gets at em early and gets the crowd out of it. We win by 2+ touchdowns

There’s never a Bad time to be had when we Beat down the Bengals

Don't assume that. LSU is always to be respected. Assume, you will lose. Said of an Ole Miss for 45 years at least.

Ole miss won in the 4th quarter with a few mins on the clock and lsu basically had no defense and now they think they are good😂😂😂
ole miss offense never took a snap in the 4th quarter with the lead. rebs scored winning TD with 00:39 on the clock.
